Athantras Corporation, a family-owned company, holds no loyalty to any government. They will sign, forge, and engage in contracts with any government type willing to purchase their products. They will take private contracts, but usually the prices for their products are slightly higher than government contracts, for two reasons. One, most private manufacturing contracts are funded, in their beliefs, by nefarious characters or criminal based organizations. AC does not wish to see their products used in ways damaging to the innocence of the galaxy, however, they are a business and as such, they are in the business of making money. Two, as their beliefs involving private manufacturing contracts, they feel the overhead profits will be substantially lower than government contracts; and as such, to prevent loss they raise their prices.
Athantras Corporation believes in the survival of the galaxy. Yearly they donate credits and resources to struggling planets.
RATIONALE
The company has always been family owned, handed down from one generation to the next: always to the eldest son. As the oldest son of his Fathers, Alister inherited the company upon the death of his Father. Currently Alister is both owner and CEO of the company. He oversees the entire operation of the company, along with son Jakob and his brother Hester.
