Designed as a specialized mining vehicle capable of operating in nearly any environment, the AT-MP is the workhorse of many a mining company. From its environmentally sealed cockpit, complete with emergency ejection system, to its powerful MKIV/L54 HyperDrill, this monstrous machine pairs the intelligence and intuition of a humanoid to the power and endurance of what would otherwise be a Labor Specialist Droid. At seven meters in height, the AT-MP towers over most conventional mining droids and powers through even the harshest environments.

The vehicle can choose to stay connected to its parent mining ship or outpost via a large tether attached at the back of the vehicle, or it can operate remotely. While attached via tether, the vehicle enjoys a direct supply of power, oxygen, and communications with the base facility. While operating remotely, the vehicle comes equipped with enough power and oxygen for 36 hours of continuous use. Equipped with a number of maneuvering thrusters and repulsor systems, this vehicle is fully capable of reaching its intended destination in nearly any conditions. The feet of this vehicle are equipped with piston driven pneumatic spikes and blades, which allow it to grapple onto any solid surface while it drills. A feature that is useful in both asteroid mining and while operating in severe terrestrial conditions.
