Theme: Battle of the Deluge-class Battle Carrier

"All hands on deck, I repeat! All hands on deck! We have been boarded by the Bryn!" Alerted the communication operator. Another set of high explosions had gone off somewhere in the Battle Carrier, though this time it was big enough to send ripples through the entire ship. More and more armed men, soldiers and anyone who's able to carry a gun-alike rushed to the back of the Carrier where the boarding had happened.

It all came out of nowhere as if the Bryn had somehow acquired military-grade stealth technology or the force on their side to mask their vessel. The carrier hadn't even been close to the borders of the Bryn'adul when the attack happened and yet, the port side of the carrier had evolved into a full-on skirmish. Worse of all, they were carrying a lot of political senators who had been down to negotiate treatises with local governments about staying in the Silver Jedi Concord.

While no one was prepared for a Bryn attack, the Battle Carrier still held a fighting force of 2 Regiments, which did keep the attackers at bay for now. With that said, it was obvious that the superior warrior's of the Bryn slowly ticked away at the defending forces of the Battle Carrier.

Fresh squads of soldiers arrived at the area of action, charging straight into the heart of the many corridor firefighting. A couple of the newly arrived soldiers got shredded by Bryn's brutal spike-shaped Molten Bullets but most managed to get into cover and take out some of the Bryn forces in return.

Another set of explosions went off, though this time the Battle Carrier was ready. Sadly the cannon's missed the boarding pot, which found its mark, slamming straight into the port side of the ship, though higher up, than the first one. Rushing out of the boarding pot, many hundred Drael Skags almost tumbled over each other as they ran with ravaging hunger for the nearest meat and bone they could find.

The sheer number of Drael Skags overwhelmed an entire section of the Battle Carrier within minutes, trying their hardest to claw their way through the heavy blast doors, to get into those hiding from the massacre. While the first boarding party left a bloody mess from the ongoing corridor firefighting, the Drael Skags, however, just left a bloodbath, smearing and painting everything in red as they killed anything that moved.

"Where the bloody hell is the Jedi?!" Asked a soldier, trying desperately along with many other soldiers to keep the Bryn forces from advancing. "How should I kn~" - impacted by molten bullets before he could finish his sentence.

In the lower decks, Ala had found a space for Jedi Padawans Sol Miggs and Vaarel Mortha to go through a few exercises with her. After their trip to Lao-Mon with the Jedi scouting and reconnaissance party lead by Tom Kovack, Ala had taken it upon herself to help both Sol and Vaarel with their training. Their ability to control their fear had come a significant way, and Ala found a growing sense of satisfaction in watching their growth.

The vessel that contained the compliment of Jedi should have been on just a routine mission. But if anything were true of the Bryn'adul they were anything but routine. "Sol...when Vaarel comes at you with the disarming slash, you can actually just step back and out of the way if you have room. Aggression is not always the answer to aggression."

"Right. I will try to remember..."

The young Jedi's words were cut off by the arrival of another group of Jedi. Something about a Bryn assault?

"Right. Lessons are over my friends. Let's get to our posts."

Departing the makeshift training room at a fair pace, Ala nodded in acknowledgement of Cadere Cadere . They had met and conversed only briefly but Ala had been immediately impressed with the young Jedi's ability, though she wondered again at whether his temprement would withstand too much pressure.

As she entered a corridor with external windows, Ala stopped to watch with growing concern as Bryn boarding pods were dispatched, but each one slowly growing closer than the other before its destuction. It would not be long before...impact. The ship rocked with the impact a few floors above their position.

"All hands on deck, I repeat! All hands on deck! We have been boarded by the Bryn!"

"Yeah, no kidding," she muttered.

Setting into a quick jog, Ala made her way to the nearest set of lifts, Sol and Vaarel just behind her. She could feel their tension rise, fear threatening to overcome them. "Ala...what you said about aggression meeting aggression..."

"In this instance, my friend," Ala interupted just before the doors opened to reveal a hoard of Drael Skags running past and ripping through rows of ship personal, "the only thing they know is aggression...but don't lose control."

And with those words, Ala stretched out her hand, and pushed out a energy field from the centre of her palm that grew wider, and more intense with each step. Skags began to run into a near invisible wall. Each impact clearly showing the strain on the elven Jedi's concentration. The hallway was not huge, so by the time she made the few steps into the middle of the passageway, her Force shield blocked the entire way.

"Ready?" she called to her compatriots as the beasts before her fought and slashed against the wall of Force energy, more and more pilling up behind and now ripping into their own kind in order to try and get through. The insuing rain of blood and viscera began to coat the external portion of the field. Ala wanted to look away, spare herself the guilt of what she was causing these beasts to do, but she could not afford too.

Her hand fell to her saber, drawing it and igniting the cerulean blade. Glancing to the left and right, she saw the two padawan had done the same and were prepared for her to release the shield. She did a quick check behind her to insure, yes, the previous Skags that had passed this way had either moved on to a different part of the ship or been mowed down by the ships internal security network.

"Now!" She said, dropping her outstretched hand to her saber hilt, and pushing foward into strike after strike. The corpses of the beasts began to pile up, leading to a narrowing of the corridor and as the three Jedi tired, they found the regularity of the beasts attempts at breaching the wall of the dead to slowly ease.

Whistling and strolling through the halls of the Battle Carrier, Cas relaxed his hands on the back of his head as he looked for something, anything to do. The Kiffar had been relegated to meagre guard duty due to some past insubordinations, his recent one being the biggest offence. Wasn't all bad though. Smirking and nodding back at Ala - Cas was on duty with another Jedi Knight and two Padawans, he didn't know much about Ala but she seemed like good people. Not to mention pretty cute.

Then he began to stagger, feeling some sort of impact shake the carrier and what followed was the dreaded words. Bryn! Why'd it have to be Bryn? the Jedi Knight thought to himself, Cas loved some action but the Bryn were a particular headache. Spotting a few soldiers nearby, Cas waved them over "Double time! Follow my lead." before summoning his lightsaber into his left hand, the hilt flickered on Cas' belt and flew into his hand. Igniting the amber blade, the Jedi Knight made his way port-side.

The Kiffar could already feel the sparks of fear and uncertainty eminating from the soldiers he'd just recruited. "What's your names?" he asked, hoping to take their minds off of what was about to come.

"My name's Horo, Master Jedi..."
"I'm Zalea..."
"Na'tuna, sir..."

"Good to meet you guys, I'm Cas." nodding with a smile. He didn't say it aloud, but Cas made a promise to himself, a promise to keep these three and anyone else safe from harm - not to mention the senators. Cas and the others arrived to witness a row of soldiers, shredded by molten bullets. Headed their way, Cas quickly threw his free arm out, the bolts of the Force coiled around and slowed down the momentum of the bullets to a halt. Flipping them around andin an underarm motion, Cas launched the molten bullets upward and watched as they sailed through the air and over his allies before descending on the Bryn forces like a storm.

Yeah, that'll make you think twice. Cas thought Man, I shouldda brought my armor with me. The Kiffar whipped his head around to the three soldiers whom had accompanied him "You three, round up as many soldiers as you can. Head to the Armory and see if you can't find any Cryoban grenades and some Cryoban rifles!" Cas hollered before sending them off. Channelling the currents of the Force within his legs he kicked off the ground and leapt into the air, gliding across the rows of soldiers fighting off the Bryn before landing at the front row. "We'll hold them off for as long as we can! Ugly kriffers..."

It was clever, using the narrow corridors of the ship to keep the Skags from overwhelming them like the beast would have done in the open. Unfortunately for Ala and her two Jedi allies, there were still too many of the Drael Skags for them to kill as the beasts just kept on coming at them. A primal roar followed by a Bryn voice. A Beast Master, riding a massive version of a Skag started to do a series of commands in his native language which had a large portion of the Drael Skags spread out in the many side hallways. Soon it would become obvious that the Beastmaster had the Skags finding flanking corridors in order to surround the trio Jedi that kept his beast from advancing the ordered direction that was given.

And rightly so, soon to the left and right of them, tumbling and rage-filled Drael Skags ran with all their might at Ala and the two Jedi. With the only path being the one behind them not filled with Drael Skags, Sol and Vaarel each faced a hallway, "oh kriff oh kriff! We have to fall back!" Said Sol now feeling like having his body getting torn apart by Bryn beasts.

The Beastmaster then starter to hammer his club-like staff into the walls of the hallway, which instantly sent a ripple effect towards all three Jedi as the Dark Side of the Force expanded around the Beastmaster. A burst of dark side lightning shot out of the tip of the staff, aiming it directly at the trio...

~Below Ala, Sol and Vaarel in other section of the ship...~

The Bryn forces roared among each other, barking orders or something like it, quickly noticed Cas and as a Jedi, knew he was a prime target. The Jedi Knight would in an instant feel hellfire rained down upon him as many of the Bryn soldiers focused on him. The addition of a Jedi started to annoy the captains on the Bryn sides, knowing full well the capability they possessed as a warrior.

And to counter that, the Captain at the hallway Cas was in, ordered Heavy units to engage the soldiers and Cas. With rapid-firing Radesh Automatic rifles, Cas would find the entire corridor be lit up by two Heavy Bryn units as they started to walk closer to the soldiers of the ship and Cas. To make matters worse, many of the soldiers that desperately kept the first wave of Bryn soldiers at bay had been shot, lying dead in rows.

The two heavy armoured Bryn warriors just took whatever punishment that came at them at didn't stop advancing without letting go of the trigger, while the Minor warriors followed close behind.

"Master Jedi! We have lost this section, fall the kriff back, NOW!" Ordered a captain of the remaining soldiers as the highest commanding officer in the area.

To make the situation even worse, multiple explosions went off as more boarding pots managed to pierce the Battle Carrier all over the hull. On the positive side, a lot of boarding pots did get shot to bits by the Carrier's fighters who had finally been able to engage the invading forces from space.

Both Cas and Ala kept getting rapid messages from all over the ship as newly arrived Bryn forces, swarming more and more areas of the Battle Carrier. Some sections were completely taken over by the Bryn, who executing anything that wasn't Bryn.

"Oh kriff ,oh kriff! We have to fall back!"

The Bryn beastmaster was emanating a strange amount of dark side energy. It was clear to Ala that this was affecting both Sol and Vaarel. She cast a glance at Sol who was already falling back, the short, stocky Kel-Dor was not controlling his fear. "We fall back on our terms. Not theirs, Sol," she shouted as her blade cut diagonally through another Skag. Its internal organs, spilled to the ground seared by her blades cut, but the blood still splashed up her leg. The smell of offal was strong causing a drive heaving impulse. "OK...now we fall back."

"Force be thanked," cried Vaarel, the lanky Pau'un, as he shoved another Skag corpse off of himself.

The three Jedi made their way backwards, swatting off Skags that made it through the barrier of flesh that they had left behind in the hallway. Behind the wall the beastmaster's bellows sent shivers up their spines. They could feel from other directions that more Skags would be approaching and that their bottleneck would soon be flanked.

Their path stopped before a crew elevator, with the access panel controls being educated to their presence by Vaarel the moment he was close enough. The Skags had stopped coming through the flesh barrier, but claws could be heard scrapping against the metal floor of the ships hallways in the other direction. The slight curve of the hallway followed the exterior form of the vessel, leaving the Jedi trio with only a dozen meters of visible hallway before it disappeared around the corner. But the noise was growing louder.

"Come on....come on...."

"Fear will not make the elevator work faster, Sol," Ala noted. Sol's reaction to her words was a simple facial expression that seemed to say Shut, and Up.

DING

The elevator's noise indicated the arrival of the lift to their floor, but also the arrival of the Skrag hoard that came rushing around the corner of the hallway. The door slid open when the closest was ten meters away. Sol slid into the elevator before it had finished opening, and was already reading to press the close button. Skrags were 5 meters away.

Vaarel was next, spinning as soon as he was in to provide saber assistance in warding off the Skrags if needed. Skrags were 2 meters away.

Ala faced the Skrags and jumped sideways into the lift at the last possible moment. The forward most Skrags tumbled past the opening of the lift as the door began to close.

The second wave of Skrags followed after Ala, lunging for the door as it began to close and grabbing the door with their claws and teeth. Ala and Vaarel both swiped at the legs of the beast, dropping them to the floor of the elevator and sealing the door shut. "Go down to meet up with the rest of the Jedi," Ala said, shortness of breath evident.

"Sounds good to me," Sol said with a press of a button.

"Cas," Ala said over the comm-system, "we are coming to you. We were over run on the upper decks. Sol and Vaarel are with me."

The Bryn were drawing closer and Cas was beginning to realise this battle in the hallway was a losing one. Continuing on the defensive, the Jedi Knight deflected incoming fire from the Radesh's, evaded or returned the molten bullets with the Force. Eventually, they were ordered to fall back by the Carrier's captain "You don't gotta tell me twice." he muttered, although he remained in place "Everyone fall back! I'll provide support while you getaway!" Cas hollered.

Hearing a familiar voice call out to him amidst the fleeing soldiers "Master Tynen! We have the weaponry!" Cas turned for a moment to face whoever was calling him. It was Zalea making her way toward him, but he quickly returned his attention to the advancing Bryn "We're distributing the weapons to the other soldiers, take these for now. Hopefully it'll make you last longer!" Zalea explained to Cas once she finally got to him, throwing a couple of CryoBan grenades at the Jedi Knight. Reaching out with his free hand, Cas used the Force to halt the grenades mid-air before launching them at the army of Bryn. Upon detonation, the ice spread across the floor and encased around the Bryn soldiers, either around their feet or across their bodies. "Now would be a great opportunity for an ice pun... but... I can't think of one." the Kiffar quipped as he spread his arms out and influenced the Force to tear open the metallic wall panels on each side of him and created a barrier between the Bryn and himself. With the Bryn temporarily halted, Cas followed after the retreating soldiers.

Ala came through on Cas' comm, patching her through he listened to what she had to say. Raising his comm near his mouth, he spoke into it ::Oh, hey Ala! You're alive! That's great! Yeah, no, that's a bad plan. We're currently in the middle of a retreat, to where? Yeah, I don't know that either.:: but then an idea came to him ::On second thought, meet us in the hangar bay.:: Cas then patched himself through to the main channel and broadcasted to the rest of the soldiers ::Change of plans, everyone rendezvous in the hangar bay. I have a plan!:: Cas informed everyone, sounding slightly proud of himself.

Cas and the soldiers would fight through any Bryn they encountered on the way, likely stragglers, as they made their way to the hangar. Unfortunately, some good men and women were lost along the way but they made it. Once at the hangar bay, Cas waited for any stragglers to arrive before explaining his plan. Looking toward a nearby crate, Cas stepped ontop of it and looked toward the group of rallied soldiers.

"Alright guys, I'll make it quick since the Bryn can be on top of us at literally any moment!" Cas broadcasted his voice loud enough for everyone to hear "We lead as many Bryn as we can here into the hangar bay. When there's enough, hopefully all of them, in here - you all find a safe spot while I blast open the doors leading into space and... hopefully that's like half of them gone." Cas shrugged, realising the absurdity of his plan "I know this sounds crazy but... it'll work. Trust me!" he attempted to reassure everyone with a sheepish smile.

More and more of the surviving crew arrived in the hanger, creating more and more noise as no one knew why they were all gathered here since no escape pod or transport ships were made ready. Many were wounded and some died after only a few minutes from maimed attacks from the Bryn boarding.

Many couldn't believe what the Jedi had suggested they'll attempt. "You can't be serious, we're over a hundred people here and more keep coming! Where would you expect up to find a safe spot?!" Asked one in the crowd, yelling over the crowd. That seemed to kickstart an avalanche of doubt in many, if not all of the ship's crew.

One of the officers, raised his hands high above his head, "Quiet!" roared the officer, which seemed to work enough to make the yelling a whisper. Turning to Cas, the officer looked the Jedi Knight in the eyes. "Master Jedi, we can't just wait for these monster to come to us, we have to abort ship by ships or escape pods. Many of us are not soldiers and a lot of those that were have been killed" explained the officer, hoping the Jedi might reconsider the plan.

When Ala and the two other Jedi found their way to the hanger, they were met with thousands of people, making the hanger quite a crowded place to be. Some doors even had lines forming, causing panic, ending up taking luck into their own hands and ditched whatever insane plan the Jedi wanted to try. A lot of the high ranking personal just couldn't keep order to the sheer number of people gathered, having to out shout the rest in the hanger or use comms.

Many were even powering up any type of ships they could get their hands on and blasting out of the Battle Carrier in an attempt to flee, only to get shot down by some kind of Bryn creatures in space.

To make matters worse, an enormous explosion causing everything to shake violently and shutting off all the lights on the entire Carrier. As such, the automatic alarm system on the ship started to go off, blinking a bright red with backup generators giving everything a dull blue light mixed with the blinking red.

Now people really started to panic after the entire generator sections, powering the thrusters blew up. "We're all going to die!" Yelled one person in the crowd of thousands of people, kick-starting chaos.

Over by the door, people at first started to flee through them to run to the nearest escape pods and it seemed to help a very small bit, only for everyone to suddenly run right back into the hanger. The confusing panic quickly turned to horrified as many of the Bryn forces, had managed to find the hanger and just started to slaughter their way to it.

That's when it happened, a monster both Cas and Ala knew all too well, exploding through the very reinforced interior walls of the hanger, introduced Argaloth himself. Not only did the giant Draelvasier crush a large group of the crew under his weight, but he didn't waste any minutes on causing a bloodbath. The huge hole Argaloth had created, had Skags topple out like water almost, as they ate their way through anything that wasn't Bryn.

If Ala looked closely, she would see her two lightsabers, broken though, strapped to Argaloth's right wrist and while it didn't do much in terms of damage, it was there as a victory trophy.

The worse part about losing power meant that the hanger door to space shot closed, blocking everyone in, creating a very horrifying aesthetic with the clusters upon clusters of death littered everyone, while many still tried to force their way out of the hanger and flee back into the ship and get away. A lot even fought to get through the small and larger blast doors spread out at the interior walls of the hanger.

"I know this sounds crazy but... it'll work. Trust me!"

Given the crowds of people that were pouring into the hangar bay, Ala did not seem to see any choice left but to trust Cas and his crazy plan. Thought as she, Sol and Kaal walked into the hangar bay her heart sank. Everyone had taken the 'everyone' in Cas's suggestion very literally. The crowd that was there was patently absurd, and unlike anything she had seen before in a situation such as this.

Pushing her way through the crowd, Ala found Cas. "This...is NOT a good idea. We have to get these people out of here. Better they be spread out over the ship with a Jedi in each party, get them to shuttles...get the Senators of the ship. I know this is probably not what you intended, but it is the reality we have to content with."

Her words seemed to send some nearby crew into a panic as they set off back into the hallway, seeking a path to some escape pods. She turned to yell out that they needed to calm down and listen to her instructions, but it was too late. Pandemonium had insued, and the walls in the hall way plattered with the varied colours of blood from the many different species on board the vessel.

"By the Force," Ala whispered in horror as the hell hounds of the Bryn caming pouring through the entry into the hangar and found easy prey of the masses gathered.

"What do we do!?" Came the panic stricken voice of Sol, and a forlorn Vaal.

She was about to open her mouth and provide some measure, as hopeless as it may have been, of direction to her compatriots, but the floor of the hangar buckled and twisted with the impactful arrival of the beast called Argaloth. The twin lightsabers dangling from the beasts wrists were noticed, but the last thing on Ala's mind.

As the skags poured through the gaping maw of a hole in the ships hangar, Ala stealed herself for what would surely be her end. "Fight to the death, my Jedi brethren. Take as many of those Bryn with you." He words were drowned out by the screams.

Just then, from above in the catwalks spanning the hangar, what could only be described as a rain of fire fell upon the skags. Many of the crew, with weapons in hand, had retreated to a space above the furious attacks of the beasts. Automated defense turrets unleashed volleys of plasma into the skags dropping them to the ground. As the Jedi set to cleaving their fair share of the creatures down, Ala soon found the waves of skags drying up. Despite the carnage, the Bryn's forces were finally dwindling...in number at least, if not in capacity for devastation.

With a twitching, dying skag at her feet, Ala looked up through dripping reddened hair to see Argaloth in his rampage rending the last of the crew that were still in the hangar. How many hundreds had died? She cast a quick gaze up to the sides and could see closing doors leading from the catwalks above. Some had escaped. But likely only a handful of those that had been here a few moments before.

There were only a little more than a half dozen non-Bryn left in the hangar, all Jedi save for one brave crewmember that was lugging around some form of gattling blaster. A dead Jedi lay on the ground some ten meters away from Ala, their lightsaber laying on the ground having rolled away from their severed hand. Ala reached forth and pulled the saber to herself. Two was always better than one. A snap-hiss brought the blade into reality.

"Don't give this thing an easy target. Split up. If anyone has any Cryo weapons left. It's time to use them..."

Catching a glimpse of all the crew in the hangar bay, he quickly realised how problematic his plan could be - neglecting to realise how many people actually served on the Battle Cruiser. Clearly not one of his best moments. Quickly, Cas began to think of alternatives, unintentionally blocking out the protests of the others until one of the Officers caught his attention. "Yeah, of course. You're right but... the Bryn naval forces will wipe out any attempts at escape." his brown eyes drew to the arrival of Ala and the Padawans "There must be some other way..."

"I know, I know Ala. This was a bad call but--" before Cas could finish his sentence, the sound of a large explosion rocked the hangar and panic ensued "Everyone stay calm!" he yelled out, but there was no point - they were far beyond the point of reasoning, and it wasn't their fault. Then came the Bryn, it was only a matter of time after all. The young Jedi Knight watched in horror as the crew were beginning to get slaughtered under the Bryn... and it was all his fault. Someone he never expected to see again then arrived, the Bryn he encountered on Nar Kreeta and the one who drove Cas to near death from Force fatigue.

Cas felt his muscles tense up and adrenaline as well as the Force surge through his body. Unclipping his lightsaber, Cas ignitied the yellow blade and prepared to jump into action. He needed to help as many of the crew as he could. "I'm going to go and try to help the others. Then we go after the big one." Cas would inform Ala before looking into the crowd and spotting a CryoBan launcher on the floor. Extending his organic arm out, he summoned the launcher causing it to fly into his hand.

"Anyone with weapons, head to the front and defend the others!" quickly, the armed soldiers did as ordered and rushed to the front of the scattered crowd - pushing the defenceless crewmates to the back. With that, Cas launched himself into the air propelling his height with the Force and aimed the CryoBan launcher toward the hole Argaloth had created with the Skags flowing out of it. He shot a grenade at the top of the hole, once it detonated the ice spread and sealed the hole which hopefully halted the incoming Skags. As he drew closer to the ground, the Kiffar then aimed toward the hangar's entrance to where the other Bryn were entering, shooting a CryoBan grenade at the floor, it exploded and spread across the floor encapsulating the Bryn forces attempting to get through.

"LIGHT THEM THE HELL UP!!!" Cas yelled at the top of his lungs before landing in front of the soldiers with a role. Immediately, the soldiers all unloaded their weaponry on the Bryn forces with both standard weapons and CryoBan rifles, specifically making sure to avoid hitting Cas in the process. They had a limited time until they were sure to break out of the ice, but they would do what they could. Cas rushed toward an entrap Bryn and ducked down to sever its leg with a lightsaber before jumping up to its shoulder and decapitating it, then backflipping off of it and backing away into the crowd. Catching a glimpse of Horo, Cas approached him "Horo, the one's trying to escape through the blast doors, go to them, get those blast doors open and take some other soldiers with you and escort them outta here in an orderly fashion." following that order, Cas returned to the fight.

Meanwhile Horo, after gathering a few soldiers, made his way to the blast doors and began his attempts to calm the others down while another soldier began to hotwire the blast doors open. While the crewmates were still panicked, Horo and the others managed to rationalise them into organising themselves properly. Once the doors were successfully opened, Horo would begin ushering the crewmates through a few at a time.

It was straight out a bloodbath, a river of soft matter littering the floor in red inside of the hanger. Argaloth released a deafening bellow as Bryn soldiers also rushed through the many doors into the hanger. Molten Bullets started to fly, piercing anyone and sometimes multiple with one molten bullet alone. The two Jedi that had accompanied Ala on the mission soon found themselves in over their head as it made it almost impossible to actually fight in melee with so many people crammed into the hanger. However, in a way, a very sickening way, the more people that died, the more room the Jedi team had to fight freely against the Bryn.

Ala would witness one of her two Jedi friends fighting valiantly against a Juggernaut Heavy, making sure to dodge and weave from the devastating melee attacks of the Juggernaut. Sadly, Vaal made a critical error, performing too big a swing with his lightsaber, making him wide open.

Grabbed by the throat, the Juggernaut held his lower arm as well, keeping the Jedi from using it and then tore Vaal's arm off in a spray of blood. Vaal screamed feeling his entire get ripped from its socket, followed by flesh, skin and bone torn from his body. Vaal fell unconscious just from the sheer shock and pain of losing an arm, but also just from the blood loss itself. The Juggernaut roared in victory, only to feel the blade of an enraged Sol decapitating the Juggernaut.

The CryoBan grenade was effective, though only at keeping the Bryn at bay for a limited time, but it did give them enough time to get as many out of the hanger as possible.

With only a dozen left on either side, something else exploded as the Battle Carrier entered the atmosphere of the planet the ship had been crashing towards, ever since the ship had been sabotaged. The hanger door itself had been ripped from the Carrier like it was made of paper. The few remaining ships started to slide towards the other end, crashing into the wall, causing some of them to blow up.

The biting wind was filling the hanger making the fight suddenly rather uncomfortable for the Bryn forces, though they ignored it and continued to fight. The remaining Bryn forces didn't even use cover as they went into a frenzied melee, coming at the last line of defence.

Argaloth on the other hand, actually stopped for a second, looking at Cas, Ala and the rest and then at the wall that the surviving crew had fled through. "DEEEEEATH!" Roared the monstrous Argaloth in his native language and swallowed the potion that would awaken his inner beast. If the remaining Jedi thought Argaloth was enormous before, with his 6-ton mass and 18 feet in height, He was now doubling his mass and strength. Argaloth started to grow in mass at a rapid rate, mutating heavily reinforced natural rock-like shells all over his body, encasing him.

A pair of large tusks jutting from Argaloth's lower jaw as his claws grew as hard as durasteel and twice the length of what they were before. While normally he had a very luminescent aqua that ran along his skin and concentrates around his head. Now it had turned into a bright glowing lava-orange colour burning hot like fire.

In a disbelieving show of strength, Argaloth started to tear through the very wall where a door and hallway were. Whatever was thrown at Argaloth, was being completely ignored as he charged the wall like a bull, slamming into it and actually breaking through it. Soon Argaloth disappeared through his own self-made hallway.

Everything was falling apart as the Carrier was getting closer and closer to the planet below.

The hangar area had become even more dangerous than before, Ala scarcely thought it possible. Exploding ships ripped through one another, as they proceed to slide down the floor of the hangar that was banking harshly to the left. The ships quickly tumbled out into space through the force field that had come up to replaced the displaced door to the hangar. The explosions were quickly suffocated by the cold vacuum of space.

Ala turned back from seeing some possible escape routes explode, which was disheartening, to see Vaal go into his attempted big swing. Her feet felt cemented to the floor as the Jedi she had grown close to on Lao-mon alongside, Sol, Tom Kovack and the professor Jacen Nimdok Jacen Nimdok , as ripped apart like a rag doll. The Bryn beast that committed the atrocity was quickly dispatched a moment later by Sol. Ala's stomach knotted, twisting into a contrort pool of bile that threatened to evacuate through her mouth. It was only when Sol proceeded to beat the dead Bryn with his fists, that Ala stirred herself to move.

"SOL! Stop!"

Ala grabbed the Jedi by his shirt and pulled him off the dead Juggernaut just as a Bryn hound would have taken the Jedi out with a teeth first lunge.

"It killed Vaal! DID YOU SEE!? It killed him!"

The panic and grief stricken Jedi was fighting to regain their compsure, and failing miserably. "I saw, Sol. I saw it happen," Ala said. It was something she could never unsee, "but it is possible that he is not dead. You have to get him to safety." She knew that the likelihood of Vaal surviving was very low, but it gave something for Sol to focus on, something he could do. And it got the emotionally destroyed Jedi off the battlefield, as much as possible. "Get him to an escape pod. Get to the surface. We do not have much time."

Sol nodded feverishly and ran to his fallen comrade, the others about provided covering fire as the Jedi pulled his fallen friend to the stairs, and then started the labourious task of getting him to the third floor where most of the survivors stood waiting to assist.

Ala turned her attention back to the Draelvasier that was now growing and flexing its increased mass. She watched as the gargantuan Drael ripped through walls, and bulkheads to forge a new jagged path through the heart of the ship. At this rate, there was not going to be much of a ship left to crash into the planet!

A huge explosion knocked Ala off her feet, tripping her over the leg of the dead Juggernaut she stood next too. The ship listed harder to the left, making the angle a near 45 degree pitch. Everything, corpses, metal, crates and even those still in the fight began sliding towards the Force field and the upper atmosphere of hte planet that they had just entered. Ala was slidding straight towards the drop off into the cargo elevator that went down a few levels. Turning, she flicked the switch, bring the elevator up to her level just before she would have fallen into the hole. She came to rest in a crouch on the protruding console that controlled the elevator.

She looked up to try and find Cas. Through the Force she sent a message. We must stop that Draelvasier. There will be no ship for us to evacuate from if he keeps going like that.

With that, she jumped, bouncing from slidding Bryn corpse to crate and pinging back and forwards like a jumping insect, before one final leap saw her just barely grab a hold of the broken bulkhead that had been ripped open. She pulled herself to her feet, the huge hole in the wall making her look miniscule in comparison. She lit her saber, and plunged into the hole created by the Drael, lights flickering and providing moments of visual acuity.

That Drael had to die. Even if it cost her everything.

The multiple deaths he felt through the Force was like an electric shock to his nervous system, frying his insides in the harshest way - although he'd experienced the same feeling a few times: Dorin, Voss, Nar Kreeta... it never got any easier. The day it did, well, it'd be the day the good that lived within Cas had died. The sounds of flesh tearing as they were hit with molten bullets, the ones Cas couldn't stop, rung in his ears and haunted him. It wouldn't stop him from trying to stop as many as he could though. Naturally, the CryoBan didn't last long but it gave the Jedi and the troops enough time to give out heavy damage to the Bryn forces and it brought them enough time to evacuate the non-fighters, unfortunately it wouldn't be enough.

Over the time, the number of fighters on both sides grew smaller and smaller until there was nothing but a handful left. The Jedi Knight was so engrossed in the fight, so concentrated in getting as many people as he could out safely, he'd numbed himself to the tremors in the Force caused by the waves of dead. Only when he heard Argaloth's guttural roar did Cas snap back to reality. Plunging his lightsaber into a Bryn's back, melting the back of its torso the longer it stayed there, his head whipped around to witness the monstrosity that was Argaloth having increased in size before tearing through another wall in the hangar, or what was left of it.

Covered in... he wasn't even sure who's blood, the sudden explosion and subsequent jerk of the ship caused Cas to stumble as he emerged from the smoking carcass of a Bryn he'd just killed, leading him to catch a glimpse of the lifeless bodies of Zalea and Na'tuna - his face was expressionless but the emotions he conveyed through the Force told a different, sorrowful story. Confused, Cas felt himself lean in a certain angle, proceeding to fall onto the ground as the ship began to tilt.

With the added strength given to him by his cybernetic arm, Cas' black metal fingers formed into a claw before he smashed his hand into the surface to stabilise his descent and ultimately halting himself. Hearing Ala's message, Cas glanced upward and saw the body of a Bryn sliding in his direction seconds away from crushing him. Quickly, the Kiffar positioned his feet on the ground that was now a wall to him and kicked off of it. Mid-air he tranisitioned into a graceful backflip, then aiming his arm at one of the holes created by the Bryn forces and shot the grappling hook stored within his Mantellian Vambraces toward it.

Once the hook connected itself, the line straightened letting Cas know he could safely swing upon it. Pushing his legs and feet out, Cas stopped himself against the wall which housed the Bryn hole. Channelling the Force into his legs once more, Cas hoisted himself into a jump and somersaulted into the Bryn created hole. "I've got your back, Ala." he telegraphed to the Jedi, using Argaloth's leftover carnage as a guide.

It wasn't very hard to follow Argaloth, apart from the glaring hole in the ship's interior, the sheer thundering crushing of durasteel and everything in-between as Argaloth carved his way through the Battle Carrier like it was made of nothing. If it wasn't because of the brutal and grave situation, it would surely be an impressive feat on Argaloth's part.

However, Ala and Cas would quickly find their way to Argaloth, since it still took a few seconds for each time he tore into the ship's interior. They would find him, completely ignoring them, or maybe he just hadn't seen them yet as the roaring noise of the crashing ship was beyond deafening. One thing was certain though if they would let him continue to, he would eventually tear his way up to the last people of the Battle Carrier.

More and more of the ship itself was starting the get torn off at the edges, causing it to form much smaller meteor-like shapes roaring through the air along with the Battle Cruiser. While they were still passing through the lower part of the atmosphere to the cold planet, it would still take four to five minutes, at most ten minutes as they were falling at an angle towards the planet and not a nose down.

Coming to rest between two slabs of torn durasteel, Ala stood to her full height of...short, and Watched for a moment as the beat tore through the next layer of the wall. She thought for a moment about reaching out through the Force, trying to reason with the creature, find its light and calm the beast into ending the conflict. But this was a foolish notion once held by a foolish, unknowing Jedi. This creature knew only death and would see death soon enough.

However, Ala understood her limitations, and she understood the danger of falling to her hatred. What she felt was not hatred, but a despondant resignation to her needed action. The Bryn'adul left even the best of people no choice than to become ruthless.

"DRAEL!" She shouted, to get his attention, but soon realized how silly this was with the noise he was making, let alone the noise of the ship falling apart as it burned up in the atmosphere.

She glanced at Cas, and tilted her head. It was worth a shot. Right?

I think I am best as distraction. She said through the Force, and then without waiting for confirmation ran to the left around the huge beast.

The debris from above that Argaloth ripped from the wall was raining down around her, and she raised her hands to redirect the pieces falling to her, while waving her hands. "HEY! OVER HERE YOU UGLY PIECE OF BANTHA POODOO!" She yelled, the best cursing she knew.

A large piece of debris fell her way, and she changed from redirecting to raising a full Force barrier to protect her from impact, and anything the Drael might decide to do...hopefully she could hold it.

Continuing on his way following the destruction, Cas' thoughts run rampant. But they weren't about the coming conflict, it was about the safety of the crew and his hopes... no, need, for their survival - the Jedi Knight needed the remaining crew to escape this now crashing ship. If there was any good he could do today, it was getting one person out alive... at the very least. It was a harsh thought, but Cas was experienced enough to know that if even one person is left standing... it was a small victory in itself.

Hearing Ala's voice enter his mind once again, he shook his head in bewilderment, usually he was the one that partook in death defying stupidity. It was odd now that the shoe was on the other foot, and if Ala was anything like Cas judging by her suicidal actions, she wasn't liable to back down from the choice she made. So, instead of arguing, he responded back to her "A woman after my own heart. Be careful, crazy."

Watching as his fellow Knight rushed in the direction of the colossal Drael, Argaloth's attention would no doubt be drawn to Ala. And in his bloodlusted state of being, Cas was positive that the giant Drael was too obstructed to look out for Cas. His grip around his lightsaber hilt tightened, and with Argaloth's back turned to him the Kiffar Knight darted toward Argaloth's back. Jumping into the air, using the Force to launch him to great heights Cas ignited the yellow blade and raised it upward with the tip of the blade facing Arg's back.

He knew this particular Drael was extremely resistant to heat but wasn't invulnerable and so, once Cas had violently sunk the blade of his lightsaber with extreme force, he would keep it there and hopefully begin to melt through Argaloth's thick hide. Maybe it wouldn't kill him, but it'd hurt like hell at least.

Argaloth tore durasteel and everything else inside of the ship with his massive clawed hardened hands and actually managed to tear through so much of the ship that he could stare down the corridor where the last remaining people on the ship remained, attempting to override the airlocks to the escape pods. Many of the people started to scream, seeing their doom stare right back at them and if it hadn't been for Ala's attempt for getting Argaloth's attention, he would have been able to get to them.

Feeling the large heavy pieces of ship debris hit him, the massive Dreal slapped away whatever continued to his him and turned around locking on to Ala. Releasing a bone-shaking bellow, flaring his burning eyes and glowing cracks between his shell he pounced at Ala. If Ala ever wanted to test her reaction and speed, cause now was the time as Argaloth launched himself from his position, crashing the area he stood on before. Slamming his colossal fists into the ground, shattered the ground he could continue to chase after the girl. If she started to run back the self-made hallways, made by Argaloth, she would very quickly realize that without the help of the force to enhance her speed, she would get killed.

However, it did help with Cas being an annoying insect to Argaloth, as it made Argaloth start to violently shake, jump on the spot or straight out shatter himself into the ship to get Cas off of him. What Cas saw with his lightsaber dug deep into the back of the beast, that the skin and wound tried to regenerate itself, fight back the blade of the lightsaber, only to get burned back every time. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that the moment Cas removed his lightsaber or was forced off of Argaloth, the wound would regenerate itself as if nothing had happened.

Ala wasn't going anywhere.

As the fists of the might beast came crashing down around her, Ala held her hands up with hope more than confidence. His first impact on the floor shook the deck under her feet, but laid only a glancing blow on the Force shield she was protecting. The impact was enough however to make Ala realize that she was not going to be in for an easy time.

"Be calm in the Force. Let the Force flow. Ebbs and flows the tides of Light. Bring me through the Dark of night."

The mantra began to be repeated on a loop, as instead of running, Ala instead sat down, legs crossing into a lotus position. Eyes closing, Ala focused on her breathing, lining up her thoughts with the cadence of her mantra. Arms remained outstretched, focusing towards the dark hole of a Force aura that Argaloth presented to her.

The blue hued ball of Force energy glimmered and refracted the light around her, causing her appearance to shift and twist to the view of those outside the bubble. Within the bubble though, Ala fought back the cynical edge that had been forming and reached for the purity of Light that had once been an ever present companion, though more recently a fond, but remote friend.

Cas' body flailed along with Argaloth, as the Bryn monstrosity tried so desperately ro remove the Jedi Knight from his back, Cas too tried to desperately to stay on the Drael warrior. His grip remained tight on the hilt of his lightsaber, Cas refused to fall or let go, however the lightsaber's blade threatened to slide completely off the Drael's exposed back.

Summoning all his strength, Cas fought against the momentum created by Argaloth's movement and lifted his left leg, planting the sole of his boot on the Bryn's back and then doing the same with his right leg. With both feet now on Argaloth, Cas was able to stabilise himself and keep himself planted on the Bryn's back without too much fear of being flung off.

The Jedi's yellow lightsaber remained buried in the back of the Drael "When I say "hey", you flail about in unbearable pain! Hey!" he quipped, driving the blade deeper into Aragloth's back. Sweat began to form in Cas' eyebrow, it was getting hot in here, too hot, if he and Ala wanted to get out of this alive they needed to get into one of the escape pods.

Hoping that the remaining survivors had escaped, and believing he'd dealt enough damage to Argaloth forcing him to stay back to heal. Cas pulled his lightsaber out from the melted hole in the Bryn's back, deactivated it, and climbed over the colossal Bryn before leaping over his shoulder and toward Ala "Ala! We gotta go!" he called out. Whatever Ala was doing, he couldn't make out what it was, but he hoped she could hear him and react quick enough before Arg was on the move.

Argaloth tried everything, in order to get the pest off of him, which Cas did all on his own calling for Ala to move. However, now that both were in front of the berserking monster, the bryn's eyes locked onto the force powered light blue bubble. Furiously and rage-inducing that he hadn't been able to break whatever protection that kept Ala from dying.

Ala would feel the ground shake as the towering body of Argaloth slammed his hardened club-like hands down on top of her force powered protection bubble aura. However, this time he didn't stop and if she managed to keep it up, the Jedi Sentinel would start to feel the already badly crushed floor below her to give in.

That's when it happened, the floor finally gave in, opening up for a large open destroyed engine room, sending Ala falling almost 700 feet into one of large broken machinery. Whether or not Ala dropped her force bubble or let Argaloth smash her through the floor itself, the monstrous Bryn snapped his fury at Cas and launched himself at the Jedi Knight with surprisingly fast attacks. Swinging wide, Argaloth's claw, however, did hit the surrounding self-made walls from the massive Bryn-made hallway Argaloth had made when clawing through the ship. Tearing through the destroyed ship, not only would Cas have to react to the large razor-sharp claws, but also debris getting torn free and sent his way.

Then he would go in for continual attacking at Cas, swinging wildly and unpredictably at the Jedi Knight and would continue to do that, if the Jedi didn't move.

Meanwhile, Cas and Ala would get a comm message, though highly static, a message came through from the last surviving members of the battle carrier. "We... escape pod... last on... no room... sorry!" was the only thing the two Jedi heard. With that said, while Cas and Ala couldn't hear the escape pod blast away from the crashing Battle Carrier due to the deafening noise of everything else around them, but the message from the last crew sounded like a deep appreciation for helping them escape.

However, that did bring Ala and Cas in a bit of a pickle as that was the last escape pod on the ship that worked, essentially trapping them on the capital ship with Argaloth and heading straight for the planet. If they ever wanted to find a way to get of the ship, they would have to get really creative or by some kind of a miracle, have someone save them.

Watching out of the window of the escape pod, the last remaining crew cried cheerfully tears as it meant they wouldn't die, only for their hope and cheers to being taken away for just a second. Bryn fighters appeared through the clouds, having shot most of the escape pods from ever getting away was now heading directly for the last remaining pod with people in it.

And yet, the force was truly with them this time as the Bryn fighters were blown to pieces by a very precise shot from something breaking through the clouds. The Bryn fighters suddenly completely changed their target and flew towards the new threat. An Ibbot-class Frigate appeared to completely decimate the large Bryn transport ship that seemed to have carrier the assault in the first place.

A new voice appeared in Cas and Ala's comms, this one much more clear and rather familiar to the Jedi Knight, Cas Tynen.

Earlier

Something was off.

While Mathieu rarely enjoyed to be still or inactive for too long, the Jedi Padawan had now sat down on the bridge of the Astlin, a patrol Frigate on a routine mission, checking for potential threats along a border world. Mathieu, sitting with legs crossed and eyes closed, were focusing deeply as he tried to decipher what it was that seemed to have set off so many alarms in his mind.

The Captain, a seasoned naval commander thew another glance at the Jedi who was visiting his bridge. It was something about 'new experiences' and 'learning on the job' - a common excuse for the lazy. But then, he enjoyed this particular way of learning himself, and had thus allowed it. So far, the Jedi had been great - helpful and with surprisingly much insight into the military runnings of a warship. Much unlike many of his - much more annoying - peers. It was only in the last few minutes that the learner had taken up a more annoying behaviour. Still, the Jedi had their uses, and sometimes, they needed to be weird. It was something which Chaussidier had experienced way too many times in the past.

f2a867db8d86dc52baa6e92a6a43fed4.jpg
A beeping sound went of from a nearby console. "Captain" a young naval officer looked to Chaussidier who responded with a silent nod, signaling for the woman to go ahead. "An anomaly, Captain. It's not a distress signal, but the Nima has failed to check in, Captain." The officer went silent after the message was delivered, looking up at Chaussidier for further instructions. The man was also silent, but for an entirely different reason. He knew the captain of the Nima personally - she was an old friend of his, skilled in many ways, but recently a bit more absent after being passed up for a promotion. She tended to be sloppy and sadly seemed to prove why she was not promoted in this very instant. Still, it pained him to see it, for he held high hopes in her and wanted her to succeed. Maybe it would be easier to just let her of the hook this one time and maintain the patrol route.

Mathieu had other thoughts as his eyes shot open and he burst up onto his feet, quickly making his way towards Chaussidier. "Captain, we've got to check it out" The Padawan spoke with conviction - not because he had finally figured out what was wrong, but because this was the greatest lead he had got so far.

Internally, Chaussidier smiled. The Brion he liked was back. But his face remained staunch and unmoving. But even then, he was far from absent - his eyes spoke of his intelligence and a slight jaw movement could be seen as he processed what was happening, a flaw he was trying to work away to improve his chances at Pazaak. He nodded with a careful "Go on" prompting Mathieu to offer more than just a demand.

The Padawan nodded "Captain, I've been having this weird feeling, I don't know what it is but we've got to check it out"

"Are you sure?"

A pause ensued as the young Morellian was struck by hesitation "No. No, I am not." Mathieu's gaze fell - the bad feeling remained but it was hard to offer much more to someone like Chaussidier. Someone with so much experience and authority. The kind of person who made one feel dumb under their scrutinising gaze. But he had to give it at least another shot "But it's all we've got"

Chaussidier's lip formed a subtle smirk. He had been giving the Jedi a hard time but he had long since learned to trust a Jedi's gut instinct and he was growing fond of this Brion one. Especially after being treated to a most wonderful self-made meal a few hours ago. Taking a step back from the Captain's Podium, Chaussidier pointed the Jedi to it "The ship is yours."

There was no time for hesitation, Mathieu knew that. He gave Chaussidier a grateful nod before stepping up onto the Podium "Officer, take us to the Nima's last known location as fast as possible" "Yes, sir" As the officer got to work, Mathieu pressed a button which patched him through to the crew coordination officer "Prepare the medbay and put the hangar at alert"

The coordination officer looked up from his console from the far end of the bridge, his eyes seeking the approval of the Captain who offered a calm nod. If nothing else, this would serve as a drill, something to keep the crew alive and on their toes.

Now

They arrived to a field of debris.

The Astlin, having been set to make its way to the Nima's last known location, was first met by debris. Destroyed escape pods and a trail of plates which by all means seemed to be of the carrier which had failed to check in. What was worse was the large number of destroyed escape pods which could be found among the debris. It made whatever happened all that much worse - the escape pods carried people to safety - it is all they did and really all they could do, but even then, they had been targeted and destroyed. "We are following that trail!" Mathieu hollered with determination, pointing at the debris which created a trail which lead down into the atmosphere of the planet below. "Alert all battle stations. Start running thermal scans and lifesign scans"

Chaussidier stood back and watched the learner work. It was far from obvious to not resume command of the ship but Brion was hollering commands without prompting and he was making the right calls. The kid appeared to be a natural but it was too early to make a final judgement on it. At any rate, the Captain knew that he wouldn't hesitate for a moment to step in if the need was there. But for now, he would be by the Morellian's side and observe. If the Jedi kept making sensible calls, there would be some learning on the job indeed.

"Sir, we're picking up the Nima's signal below the clouds. She's is going to crash against the planet in a matter of minutes. There are, however, multiple lifeforms in the clouds, pathing thermal imagery to you now." the naval officer spoke at a rapid rate as she passed on the processed information to the Jedi. Mathieu's eyebrows furrowed as he saw the result "It's the Bryn" A concerned expression spread across his features as his eyes fixed onto the screen "The lifesign scanns are picking up multiple escape pods in the clouds" He looked to the officer with a smile on his lips. Returning focus to the screen, he blurted out the most logical answer to why they were spared that he could think of "Maybe the Bryn couldn't see them, the temperature shift might've masked them. Ready a rescue craft to pick them up and guide them right when we're piercing the clouds too."

The relative peace under which they had been able to work would soon, however, be broken as a number of Bryn ship's straggled behind the rest. "Fire the quad lasers when ready" the command went through, and soon enough, a flurry of red bolts would rain down against their foes up ahead, all whilst the Astiln soared along the Nima's trail at a high pace. "Ready the turbolasers with a frontal lock" he spoke with a clear voice as the ship's shields were put to the test from a small number of incoming attacks. The Bryn had not yet had the chance of reacting at full, for they were coming in with the element of surprise.

Soon, the Astlin's nose dipped into the cloud which prompted it to launch a lonesome rescue craft to help steer the escape pods to keep them hidden in the clouds for a bit longer and ensure that they wouldn't be seen until they were at a greater distance. Chaussidier watched as the hangar slot went from OCCUPIED to VACANT on the interface, momentarily wondering if it was the right call. They were risking the lives of the rescue craft's crew, after all. But then, Brion seemed more familiar with the Bryn than he was and given what the Jedi said about them, the Captain felt confident that he would have made the same call.

Mathieu watched the screen displaying the live updating thermal scans with a hawk eye as they got closer to piercing the clouds until a larger boarding craft could be seen "Frontal turbolasers, fire" once the command was given, the powerful weapons went off, sending two powerful laser beams at their target. "Engage the ACP's cyberwarfare suites. It should already have clearance to many of the Nima's systems. Activate emergency generators. We need to keep the ship from-"

"No"

"What?"

"The Nima is lost" Chaussidier's voice echoed through the minds of those who could hear it. He spoke with clarity and not a soul on the ship questioned the old captain. But even then, it was hard to believe for most.

Chaussidier knew that it was time to step in. Brion had handled himself well, but this was a situation where naval experience was called for. He took quick strides towards the Captain's Podium and put a hand on the Jedi's shoulder to push him aside. The young Brion was much larger than himself and as his hand touched the robe with its armoured shoulder pad underneath, he knew that if the Jedi would only be moved if he allowed it himself. But Chaussidier knew how people perceived him, staunch, authoritative and perhaps even a bit frightening at times. The kid moved and now, the Captain was back at the helm.

"The ACP will prioritise restoring power to activate turbolifts, fire suppression systems and unlock magnetically sealed doors." The Captain shot Mathieu a look "Brion, you're on comms, I'm patching you in to the Nima's frequency. Coordinate the rescue craft. Their escape pods are gone" The officer tried to get a word in "Captain, an esca-" but wouldn't be able to finish the sentence before Chaussidier sprung to action "Engage the AM octets, fill the skies near it with shrapnel and focus the flak cannons on keeping fliers away"

Mathieu watched in amazement as Chaussidier took control over the situation. The Padawan has stood back a few feet and momentarily zoned out as the Captain called for the Astlin to fly in close to the much more massive carrier it was following. "Mathieu" the officer's voice snapped him back into the present. He gave her a grateful nod before activating his comms. ::This is Mathieu Brion of the Astlin. We're launching shuttles to pick you up. Where do you need us?:: Although, "The Cavalry has arrived" would have been a more impressive entrance, time was of the essence, and judging by how deformed the Nima was at certain points and the boarding craft they fired at, it was easy to assume that the situation inside was equally pressed.
