WEAKNESSES

Compact and rugged, the AT-C17 bridges the gap between a full-sized infantry rifle and a lightweight sidearm, offering the flexibility to operate effectively in both open terrain and the tight confines of starships, corridors, and urban streets. Built on a reinforced Duralumin frame with a short, optimized barrel, the AT-C17 delivers impressive accuracy at typical engagement distances while keeping weight to a minimum. The inclusion of an auto-steady gyrogimbal allows users to maintain precision during rapid movement or when firing in short bursts. Its standard configuration includes single-shot - for precision shots - and burst-fire settings, as well as a reliable stun mode favored by security forces and law-enforcement personnel. As mentioned, the internal frame is reinforced Duralumin, with additional reinforced mounting points to prevent warping under thermal stress. Its exterior plating is composed of molded Duraplast, resistant to corrosion, debris, and energy scoring. Every external surface was shaped with ambidextrous controls and ergonomic grips, ensuring ease of use by a wide range of species - from humans and near-humans to those who rely on claws or armored gauntlets. A stun setting is available via a side selector, making the weapon useful for law enforcement or capture missions.
