SPECIAL FEATURES
- Modular Primary Cannon Mount:
Central hardpoint supports rapid interchange between the Enforcer Mass Driver Cannon and other standardized Lilaste Order armaments—including the LO-21/AAA, LO-22/AP, LO-24/AT, and LO-AC300 artillery modules—allowing field crews to re-role the walker within minutes for anti-armor, anti-air, or siege operations. - Fyrirdögun-Grade Structural Chassis:
Complete internal skeleton, hull plating, and servo joints forged from Fyrirdögun alloy, providing unparalleled tensile resilience and heat dispersion while maintaining manageable weight for a hexapodal frame. - LO-VX Adaptive Shield System:
Dynamic, multi-phase shielding capable of switching between energy-dampening and kinetic-absorption modes in real time. Integrates with onboard threat analytics to prioritize shield reinforcement toward incoming vectors. - LO-MRS1 Magnetic Repulsion System:
Generates localized magnetic counterfields to deflect or prematurely detonate ferrous or conductive projectiles, mines, and IEDs. Operates in tandem with the shield suite for layered defensive coverage. - LO-PDL-1A Point Defense Laser Array:
Automated micro-turret system designed to intercept incoming ordnance, drones, and low-altitude missiles. Fully synchronized with the sensor suite for predictive engagement. With one on each corner of the walker. Two in the front two in the back - LO-RA1 Explosive Reactive Armor:
Triple-layered modular armor plates that detonate outward on impact to neutralize shaped-charge or high-velocity penetrators. Can be replaced or refitted in the field. - Advanced Sensor and Command Suite:
Encompasses long-range targeting lidar, seismic ground scanners, and battlefield telemetry integration with Lilaste Order command networks. Enables simultaneous coordination of infantry, armor, and aerial units. - AT-AS MKII Deployment Bay:
Reinforced undercarriage bay designed to house and deploy a single AT-AS MKII light assault walker. Enables on-demand reconnaissance or flanking operations directly from the MKIII chassis. - Internal Armory and Supply Bay:
Stores up to forty rifles (LO-20D, LO-27R, or LO-52R variants), thermal and medical supplies, and spare power cells, allowing embarked troops to fully re-equip before redeployment. - Enhanced Underhull Armor and Redundancy:
Reinforced sub-frame with overlapping Fyrirdögun plating to counter anti-vehicle mines and proton charges. Redundant hydraulic and power circuits maintain locomotion even after severe hull breaches. - Automated Crew Rotation Pod:
Internal pilot capsule can rotate to remain level regardless of hull orientation, ensuring stable control during climbs, vertical traversals, or when the walker braces on uneven surfaces. - Tactical Uplink Beacon:
Retractable communications mast providing long-range encrypted transmission, functioning as a mobile command relay for nearby ground and aerial units. Can uplink directly to orbiting Lilaste Order fleet assets. - Anti-Boarding Countermeasures:
Internal security turrets, electromagnetic pulse emitters, and compartmentalized lockdown systems prevent boarding parties from breaching the hull. Internal corridors can be sealed or depressurized at command discretion. - Atmospheric Entry Capability:
Reinforced heat shielding and limited retro-thrust capability allow the MKIII to be deployed directly from orbital carriers under controlled descent, bypassing the need for surface landers during high-priority operations.
STRENGTHS
- High-Capacity Infantry Transport: Able to carry up to 72 soldiers, the MKIII can deploy an entire platoon deep behind enemy lines or in contested zones, functioning as both a heavy tank and armored personnel carrier (APC).
- Integrated Defensive Suite: Equipped with LO-VX adaptive shields, LO-MRS1 magnetic pulse system, LO-PDL-1A point defense laser, and LO-RA1 reactive armor, the MKIII has a multi-layered defense that protects it from kinetic, energy, and explosive threats.
- All-Terrain Capability: Retains AT-TE-inspired hexapod stability with upgraded servos to support its larger frame, allowing it to traverse steep inclines, rocky terrain, and even scale vertical surfaces when needed.
- Sustainable Firepower: The modular main cannon (swappable between mass driver and LO-series guns) alongside multiple rotary and light cannons allow the walker to handle a variety of battlefield roles from siege warfare to anti-infantry suppression.
- Combat-Proven Redundancy: Even if shielding or external defenses are compromised, the reinforced triple-layered Fyrirdögun armor and internal systems redundancy ensure it can survive catastrophic damage longer than most walkers in its class.
WEAKNESSES
- Oversized Profile: The walker's enlarged chassis makes it easier to detect and target on the battlefield, especially from long-range artillery or anti-armor platforms.
- Slow Turning Radius: While maneuverable for a vehicle of its size, the walker still suffers from sluggish pivoting and cornering speeds compared to repulsor or tracked vehicles, especially in urban or tight terrain.
- Infantry Vulnerability During Deployment: While unloading its full complement of 72 troops, the large rear or belly hatch presents a temporary weak point that could be exploited if ambushed mid-deployment.
DESCRIPTION
The AT-AE MKIII represents the Lilaste Order's evolution of the classic AT-AE heavy assault walker into a dedicated frontline command and deployment platform. Scaled up by 1.5 times its predecessor's size and constructed entirely from Fyrirdögun, the MKIII merges heavy firepower, reinforced survivability, and versatile battlefield logistics into a single imposing machine.
Whereas the earlier AT-AE models were limited to troop deployment and direct fire support, the MKIII introduces a new capability: an integrated deployment bay capable of housing and deploying a single AT-AS MKII light assault walker directly onto the field. This allows commanders to extend their tactical reach by launching fast, mobile units for flanking maneuvers, ambushes, or scouting operations, all while maintaining the MKIII's presence as a heavy spearhead.
Internally, the MKIII accommodates up to 72 fully equipped soldiers, significantly increasing its capacity compared to the MKII, making it an armored personnel carrier capable of deploying an entire platoon into high-threat zones. A rear ramp or underbelly hatch enables rapid deployment of both infantry and its AT-AS MKII, providing flexible deployment options based on terrain and mission objectives.
Defensively, the MKIII is layered with some of the most advanced systems available to the Lilaste Order. Its LO-VX adaptive shield generator allows it to phase between kinetic or energy-focused resistances, while the LO-MRS1 magnetic pulse system and LO-PDL-1A point defense laser work in tandem to deflect or destroy incoming projectiles, including missiles, mines, and grenades. For close encounters or siege-breaking roles, LO-RA1 reactive armor provides additional protection, absorbing impacts from high-velocity rounds and explosives.
Despite its size, the MKIII retains its hexapod all-terrain capability, able to scale difficult terrain, including vertical surfaces. Its weapon suite remains modular, with a central Enforcer Mass Driver Cannon that can be swapped out for Lilaste Order's LO-series weapons to adapt to anti-air, anti-armor, or even the AC300 Artillary cannon
The AT-AE MKIII excels in combined-arms assaults, designed to punch through enemy lines while coordinating walker and infantry deployment on the fly. Whether anchoring a defensive line, leading a vanguard assault, or acting as a mobile command node, the MKIII is a symbol of the Lilaste Order's tactical flexibility and overwhelming battlefield presence.
