Asudai Syun Rapux is a man of duty, both to his superiors and those he rules over. The future Marshal-Intendent of the Archipelago was born into a junior branch of the House of Rapux, rulers of the Xanha Archipelago of Panatha. As part of the military aristocracy of Panatha, Asudai was imbued with the same skills and values as his ancestors, and trained to serve the Zambrano royal house. Asudai proved to be a dutiful, natural warrior and leader of men, gaining command of royal soldiers under direct command of the Zambranos at a young age. Asudai, however, never felt wholly comfortable with Zambrano hegemony, though he never acted on these doubts, taking his place in society seriously. Though his family could claim to have once been independent kings, that was not his role.
Over time, the off-world corporate holdings of the House of Rapux, relatively modest by Galactic standards, came into his control, and soon Asudai played a large role in maintaining the family's fortune despite, or because of, the dictatorial economic policies of Panatha's successive rulers. Part of this was that each new state came successive calamities that befell Panatha over the years, which led to much of Asudai's family dying off one by one, eventually leaving Asudai as one of the last Rapux to take some administartive control of the Archipelago and its soldiers when the Eternal Empire came. Almost by default, Asudai became a de facto warlord on Panatha, ruling over part of the Xanha Archipelago both in his own right as inheritor of a small fief but also as a pseudo-governor over a larger region of sea and land.
As the Epicanthix diaspora accelerated after the Mandalorian destruction of Canthar, Asudai played a key role in using the family's holdings in coordinating support networks and supplies for the Epicanthix diaspora, though he refused to himself leave the planet despite its deteriorating state. Despite rumours that Asudai or his family were planning to become a sort of kingmaker over the remaining Epicanthix nobility, little of that has surfaced in his actions thus far.
Recently, Asudai has been forced to take an active hand in combatting the rumoured Dark Side cults infesting Canthar as well as work with the Eternal Empire. As always, despite his doubts and grievances against them, Asudai is a creature of duty, and he continues to work with the lawful authorities.
