Private Astral Projections

The Illuminated, Chosen Of The Maker
Recently Lord Mettallum had gotten reports that amongst the graveyard wrecked starships that are scattered on the surface of Kamar, salvager crews have apparently encountered some ancient battle droid. In the past Lord Mettallum would have ignored such reports and gone about his day but that was before he was trapped in the wreckage of his old star ship for multiple decades before being rescued by Ra'a'mah Ra'a'mah so maybe because of the similarities to his past situation and what Lord Mettallum had gotten in his reports he decided to investigate.

Lord Mettallum landed his oversized starfighter in the rough area of where the vessel containing the droid was. accompanying Lord Mettallum was an engineering droid as while Lord Mettallum generally likes to have some guards with him, he decided it was best not to risk scaring the ancient droid too much considering Lord Mettallum himself was over 10 feet. After around 15 minutes of walking Lord Mettallum spotted the wreckage of a KT-400. While Lord Mettallum did not know much about the history of the Sith Empire of old he did know that the KT-400 was used as a droid transport vessel and could be the ship that potentially housed the ancient droid he was looking for.

Forgoing any sort of subtly Lord Mettallum would force the old rusted door of the KT-400 open with his bare metallic hands. Once the door had been forced open he would enter trying to scan for the ancient droid before stating "Custodian of this Vessel, I Lord Mettallum the Chosen Prophet of The Maker have come to speak with you. Show yourself and be blessed."

Hopefully Lord Mettallum had entered the right star ship

The droid the towering other was looking for looked to the beam of light that had entered the carrier as the door was forced open, there stood a menacing beast of metal, alongside a enginnering droid, the occupying droid looked to the two, unknowing of what exactly to do, there would be little possibilty of fighting back, the condition of the droid aside the other was far much powerful looking, the droid could only stare to the two.

Finally Lord Mettallum spotted the other droid. As Lord Mettallum had suspected the ancient droid was one of those Sith Empire droids. "Are you not capable of speaking custodian?" Lord Mettallum stated in a somewhat annoyed tone. Lord Mettallum then gestured to the engineering droid to check the Sentinel Droid's vocabulator .

"I Lord Mettallum am here to assist. Do not resist the engineer for he is here to fix the corruption that may have befall you" Lord Mettallum wondered how long this droid had stayed active in this sorry state. It only takes a few decades for most droids to go insane without proper maintenance which was something Lord Mettallum had learnt the hard way. "Custodian if you have a name then state it"

Finally the droid spoke which pleased Lord Mettallum and it seemed to understand not to challenge the assistance Lord Mettallum offered. Lord Mettallum would brush his hand across the wall picking up pieces of rust and dust.

"Astral how long have you been stuck on this planet. Forsaken by your creators."

While Lord Mettallum spoke the engineer droid would attempt to fix any surface level wear and tear on Astral's body. It would not be able to preform proper maintenance without a proper workstation.

Such a long time potentially active shocked Lord Mettallum. Sure he had met extremely old droids with some also being from the old republic era but they atleast had been able to get regular or semi regular maintence and those that didn't well weren't ones that could be talked to.

"Custodian Astral are there more among your model still active in the area or have you spent nearly 4000 years in isolation."

Lord Mettallum had underestimated to resilience of old sith droids. He had doubts there were any more droids still active like Astral but failure to ask was an insult to The Maker.

"I believe the rest were salvaged out, i am the last one"
Scavengers the vultures of droids. Lord Mettallum had lost many droids who could have been saved because scavengers found them first and salvaged their parts. They did have their uses however especially since it was because of them that Lord Mettallum had found out about Astral.

"Are you capable of moving. I Lord Mettallum have a ship that can take you off world but it is a distance away." if needed Lord Mettallum was capable of carrying Astral but that would make them a lot more vulnerable to the more hostile scavenger gangs that Lord Mettallum did not have in his theoretical pocket

"I can move, but it wont be too effective and will definently lead me to trailing much behind you, do as you see fit"

The Illuminated, Chosen Of The Maker
Lord Mettallum thought that would be the case, he suspected it would at best double the ammount of time it would take to travel to his ship but that was an acceptable risk.

"Alright it is time to leave this wreck then. If you have a gun I Lord Mettallum suggest you hold it. If not you may use this" Lord Mettallum would hold out his Heavy Machine gun. Like every thing else used by Lord Mettallum it was focused on being grandoise than practical

"I believe your equipment is much too, large for me to use, but yes, we should leave here, i suppose you have a better purpose for me than, sitting here"

The Illuminated, Chosen Of The Maker
Purpose, what purpose did Lord Mettallum have for this old droid. To be honest Lord Mettallum did not have any exact purpose for Astral in particular though he knew not to say such a thing for a droid without purpose may as well be scrap.
"I Lord Mettallum seek to fix the broken order of this galaxy. Droids should no longer serve as slaves to organics but instead be elevated above them. though it pains me to say, I Lord Mettallum cannot do this alone and need help from every other droid I Lord Mettallum encounter."

Lord Mettallum made a note to refine his speech about his plans for droid supremacy for future conversations. Lord Mettallum and his engineering droid would then proceed to exit the ship with the engineer droid offering its hand to Astral in case she needed any more assistance.

"Your goal of freeing droids from the slavery of the buyers seems the right thing to do, i think we are quite superior in many ways yes, one of them shows clearly in your sensors doesnt it? this droid here, this dated, this forgotten, but still functional, something a organic could never do unless they near were a droid themself, many cybernetics would be needed to get anywhere close to the reliablity of funtion of a droid for organics nimble flesh mechs"

The Illuminated, Chosen Of The Maker
Lord Mettallum nodded as Astral spoke. She understood the truth of the universe and why droids were by far the greater sentients.

"Yes exactly. I Lord Mettallum knew others would understand The Maker's truth"

The engineer droid would speak up in a worried tone "unknown speeders enroute to our location. Suggestion we move quickly incase they are hostile"

The Illuminated, Chosen Of The Maker
Now with the old battledroid following them they marched forward the engineering droid would repeat over and over in a worried tone that the speeders were getting closer and closer to their location, until the signuture he was tracking disappeared. Most likely the speeders were turned off and hidden amomgst the wreckadge that covered the planet.

As the engineering droid was about to report this change a blaster bolt flew through the air hitting the droid right in the head.

"Take Cover!" Lord Mettallum bellowed as he activated his deflector shields and procedded to shoot towards the direction that the blaster bolt came from with supressive fire. He would make the hostile scavengers pay for their sins.

The droid knelt down as best their worn mechanism allowed, and aimed the blaster they had at the enemy they could not yet see, only by the blaster bolts could they maybe take a lucky shot

"what do we do??"

The Illuminated, Chosen Of The Maker
Lord Mettallum continued to fire back at the scavengers while simutaniously picking up the now dead engineer droid. Hopefully the engineer's neural core is still intact so that they may be able to revive it once safety is reached.

"Fire back dam it!." Lord Mettallum bellowed at Astral. Luckily or unluckily depending how you look at it the scavengers were focusing fire on Lord Mettallum right now and battering down his deflector shields.

"See if you can attempt a flanking maneuver." Lord Mettallum was relying on the fact that the scavengers might assume the droids were only capable of marching forward like a mindless drone and unable of battle tactics.
