Astraea walks with an air of mystery around her. Rarely ever acting impulsively, opting to approach situations with patience. Despite her apparent youth, she often speaks with wisdom beyond her years.

From as early as she could remember, Astraea's central belief was drilled into her by the tribe’s elders. That she was destined to be their greatest seer, that the visions would lead her to whom she was fated to guide, a saviour. The Sun of Suns.

The only thing that’s really known of Astraea’s appearance, is that she’s fair skinned. It’s not known if anyone; other than Astraea herself, has seen what she looks beneath the layers of red leather and cloth. What’s impossible to hide however, is the athletic physique underneath, making it all too evident that the Miraluka has been martially trained.

Etched upon her inner left forearm lies a small, singular birthmark—a circular sigil adorned with twelve petal-like protrusions. To the few who have seen it, the mark is whispered to be a sign of the Sun, a celestial brand carried upon her flesh.

It had been many millennia since Miralukans resided on any single planet. For the longest time now there have only been colonies sprinkled around the galaxy. Astraea was born into one of these, though one would consider it more of a tribe. They were known for generations of seers, those that upon adulthood would venture out across the planet. Be it to find those to guide, or to gather those around them and form their own tribe. And of course, when dealing with seers there are often prophecies involved.

The elders propped up one particular prophecy: That one day a child would be born, twice blinded, but able to see further than anyone that came before. That they would venture forth and be the guiding hand to a saviour.

Astraea was that child. Born into the tribe with what would be considered an abnormality amongst pure-blooded Miralukans. She had eyes. Not that it mattered much, as she was still blind all the same. But to the elders? It was the sign that indicated she was the ‘twice blind’ child they had been waiting for. Thus, she was raised and taught by the tribe, to ensure she was the greatest of them. A fact that later in life, Astraea found she didn’t think fondly of. For she had no memories of her parents, nor remembered their faces.

Shortly after her eighteenth summer, Astraea had a vision that saw the tribe being wiped out by a massive storm. There was no hesitation in warning everyone, but everyone was firm in their conviction. She was their chosen one, the greatest of theirs to leave, and it would seem…the very last too. Astraea set out the night before, standing atop a dune as the sun rose, and the storm swept over the place and people she had called home.

For the next several years, Astraea travelled just as any other seer had. Met and helped people, taught and learnt new things, but never settled down somewhere. Then one day she entered a town, heard rumours of a ‘sickly-eyed’ individual being sighted, and that they had an air of ‘foul magic’ around them. Led by curiosity, Astraea ventured out to where the person was supposedly camped, only to walk straight into a trap.

Into the hands of a Sith.

No one knows what happened during that time. Just that one day, Astraea was seen stumbling back into that very same town. Leather scorched, her cloak half burnt, smelling of smoke, and two streaks of blood beneath her hood. Since then, she’s been travelling ever onwards, determined in her search for the one she is fated to guide.

The Force is my Eyes: As a Miralukan, Astraea has an innate gift for not just Force Sight, but general sensory abilities. That which has only grown in strength over the years, as she was taught from a very early age. She’s able to sense through the Force even during the most chaotic of surroundings. If given time to focus enough, she can locate and track individuals from a significant distance.

Patience is a Virtue: Be it diplomacy, conflict, or anything in between. Astraea is the type to ask questions first, before ever taking action. Sure, if the situation calls for immediate action, she won’t hesitate. But more often than not, she prefers approaching things with a watchful and observant eye.

The Force is my Blade: Over the years Astraea has learned how to primarily use the Force to fight. From both lessons growing up within the tribe, to further education during her travels. It goes hand in hand with her more cautious and observant approach to situations. And while it may be her focus, she is not without some martial training.

Force Dependency: Due to her physical blindness, Astraea relies heavily on the Force to help her see and sense around her. So if she enters a situation where it is nullified, then Astraea will be at a significant disadvantage. Though that’s not to say she’d be completely helpless, as she has been trained to rely on her hearing too. The same could be said for her reliance on using the Force for fighting. While she can still fight without it, it’s not close to the same level of capability.

The Weight of Legacy: From the ashes of her tribe, Astraea bears the legacy they have left behind. Not just as their last seer, but to fulfil the prophecy that led to them raising her, teaching her, and ultimately sacrificing themselves for her. Thus, she is determined to see it done, no matter what it takes.

Buried Trauma: Not all of Astraea’s scars are physical. There are some that she’s buried deep, deep within herself. And if someone knows where to find them, to poke and draw them to the surface. They’ll be able to crack the otherside stoic exterior.
