CORPORATION INFORMATION

 • Corporation Name: Aster Spaceworks

 • Headquarters: Mon Cala

 • Operations: Engineering and Construction, Research and Development, Starship System development and manufacturing

 • Tier: Tier 2
DESCRIPTION

Aster Spaceworks traces its lineage back 400 years to a corporation aiming to dethrone Mon Calamari Shipyards and, more specifically, to show that they aren't the only ones able to create the designs they possess.. Once one of the Galaxy’s foremost shipbuilding corporations, the Mon Calamari corporation has seen itself stagnate, and Aster Spaceworks fully intends to exceed what they achieved in every way. They are rivals, connected only by the fuel that all corporations use to fire themselves up.

Aster Spaceworks is a multi-species and multi-cultural company with Bakuran engineers, Arkanian geneticists, Chiss weapons experts, Yuuzhan Vong technology experts, Mon Calamari shipbuilding experts, and even shipwrights hailing from Zonoma Sekot. Though they have yet to fully harness their capabilities in these areas, Aster Spaceworks has been focusing on developing a base of foreign STEM specialists that have the capacity to give ASW the future it needs. This also makes the company more diverse, with technologies such as masers helping to make their vessels more unique, distinctive, and deadly, especially when it comes to their bioships. With the recent rise of the experienced [member="Kemoth of Asteria"] to the position of Executive President, albeit with stipulations for her holding of the position, it is expected that the highly ambitious woman will have the need to champion Aster Spaceworks into the massive proportions they desire.

A twenty year plan has been planned out, and soon it could be expanded into a plan spanning over a century should it be organized. The general build-up of the Spaceworks and the creation or acquisition of subsidiaries covering a variety of fields is the primary focus of the plan. New products are already in place to be manufactured (AKA submitted to the factory), and a new age in the era of greatness may take place.

RATIONALE
Kemoth took control over Aster Spaceworks slowly, recognizing the largely untapped talent that its people retained. She became the company’s Chief Executive, and now controls 51% of the corporation.

Would staff like me to contact the absentee owner's OOC and writer accounts, or would it be best for you guys to do that?
To clarify this now, (this is also under review), we have a set of rules and procedures which we go through for this. I'll quote them below, but you can also find them here. Because this is a canon company that is currently owned by another writer, if a factory judge were to pick this submission up they would then hand the submission over to myself, another role-play judge, or an administrator to follow through the procedures regarding previously owned canon companies. I will contact the writer in question that currently owns the canon company, and then in 72 hours I will respond to this submission with a post regarding whether or not they have been deemed active or not. If they are deemed inactive then your submission will be reviewed as normal and may be approved at a tier drop below what the current approved submission is, if they are active, however, then this submission will not be approved for that reason(though you can change the name and stuff if that is the case to give you a company so you don't need to make an entirely new submission, if you still wish to make a company submission).

Here is the section of rules pertaining to previously active canon company ownership:

Alrighty, thanks! Also, I think I mentioned this last time - the rules said that a company couldn't drop below tier 2. Is this still accurate? Quote below, [member="Nadja Keto"]

5. If a canon company owner is absent for more than 30 days, any writer who does not already own a canon company may contest your claim by creating a submission of their own for the same company name. The factory judge presiding will alert a role-play judge, who will then attempt to contact the previous canon company owner. If the role-play judge fails to contact the previous canon company owner within 72 hours and determines the canon company owner inactive, the role-play judge willinform the factory judge that judgement may proceed. After which, the role-play judge or administrator will transfer ownership of the canon company along with one level tier drop (may not fall under Tier 2) to the new canon company owner, along with any edits made. The old submission will then be archived.

Yes, this is still accurate. I have also received a response from the other writer, they are still active and wish to retain ownership of the company/

Please remove all mention of the history of Mon Calamari Shipyard's canonical history from your submission, and any other mention of the company when used in the context as the progenitor of this one.
