BIOGRAPHY:
Asori Soto hails from a planet in the Outer Rim known as Skynara, where she was born into a family of spacers. There they made their livelihood running the Five Veils' Tour, a hyperspace trade route terminating at the planet. She learned as early as her pre-teen years how to navigate a starship, and later how to pilot as well as defend herself with simple blaster pistols and vibrodaggers. Flying, however, had an impression on her that her parents did not expect. Rather than falling in love with being in the air, she grew to yearn for solid ground in a new way - but not because she was afraid of the former. As she soared over a planet's surface, formations of all kinds stretched into the horizon. Over time, questions about them - their histories, their compositions, their ages - began to pile up in her mind until she couldn't take not knowing anymore.

Her parents would not support her inquisitive nature or subsequent quest for knowledge, however, and so, at age 17, Asori hitchhiked her way to Sanbra. She has been living estranged there ever since. Fortunately, soon after relocating, she was able to find a program at the University that appealed to her wonder, as neither sentientology nor xenobiology did; and she earned her bachelors', masters', and doctorate in xenogeology. Now, still smelling of all the textbooks she's had her nose stuck in for the last n number of years, she grasps at the prospect of a future outside academia. Only one question remains:
