BIOGRAPHY:
Fleeing the catastrophic battle which would culminate in Csilla’s annihilation by the Sith, a pregnant Chiss woman went into labor aboard a refugee transport. She would die from complications during childbirth. Her baby boy was placed up for adoption, one of countless children orphaned in the genocide.
While still an infant he was adopted by Cato and Inanna Harth, a Jedi couple associated with the Vonnuvi. Though Cato already had a daughter, Serena, from a previous relationship, Inanna was infertile and wanted to expand their family. A victim of the Shi’ido genocide and destruction of her homeworld at the hands of the Mawites, she particularly empathized with the plight of the Chiss. Since the child had no name, he was dubbed Ashur by his adoptive parents. The name came from Inanna's Shi'ido heritage, and was chosen mainly because Cato found it easy to pronounce.
Ashur grew up on the Vonnuvi surrounded by Ithorians and Jedi. Though he was not Force sensitive, it had little effect on his social life. He was liked by his peers, did well in school, and helped his artisan father in the Enclave workshop. Upon turning eighteen, like many young people he had no idea what to do with his life. So he enlisted in the GADF. But with the Galactic Alliance's abrupt collapse, he returned home having barely seen combat. Hoping to put his military training to good use, he is now pursuing a career in law enforcement within High Republic space...
