As a member of the noble House Pelagia of the Tapani Sector, Ashalin is expected to portray herself as an aloof aristocrat to beings she interacts. However, to the annoyance of her mother, she has never quite been able to pull off that necessary air of superiority that is required. Ashalin enjoys interacting with beings, no matter if they are human, alien, or anything else in between. Described as likeable and charming, she has made many friends among the other nobility allied with her House and with more common beings.
Confident and headstrong, her mother would say stubborn, Ashalin projects a sureness to her actions and her words, although this can sometimes get her in trouble when she thinks someone is wrong as she will take time to point out how they are. Regardless of all that, she has a love for her homeworld and being selected by the Houses to represent the planet in the Federal Assembly is a task she views as a duty to her people. Her mother hopes that being forced into the arena of galactic politics will give her some measure of decorum appropriate to her birth and make her more diplomatic.
However, there is a hidden side to Ashalin that has been fostered by her father that her mother and others never see. Calculating and professional, her father has taught her many things he learned from his own masters and teachers. If given or hired for a job in her double life, she will make sure it is taken care of, no matter the costs.
