APPEARANCE:
Ash has a rather slim build and is quite fit. Her skin is burgundy red and her lips are dull gray. The length of her montrols and lekku show her younger age, as the former is curved, the latter only reaching lower chest level and just between her shoulder blades. Like all Togrutas, her montrols can detect objects moving through ultrasonic space around her. She is quite attractive, with brilliant blue eyes and round features. Her montrols are striped with light blue, which gradually fades to dark blue at the tips of her lekku.
Her attire usually consists of a tight, black tank top with dark purple along the right side and bottom like the letter L. The top has a choker-like collar with dark purple strips crossing over a square cut-out on the upper chest. She has two black armbands on each bicep, connected with a vertical piece on the outer arm. She also wears fingerless, elbow-length gloves. She wears baggy black capri pants, with dark purple along her outer thighs. A black utility belt holds pouches for ammo and food capsules, as well as a holster for her blaster pistol on the right side, and a sheath for her dagger, also on the right. She wears a pair of dark brown boots.
In terms of gadgets, her main gadgets are her gauntlets. They consist of multiple compartments, each with a different purpose. The compartments along her inner forearm on each arm contain a row of multi-centimeter, jagged, ejectable blades. Along the outer side of the right gauntlet is a built-in comlink. The outer side of her left gauntlet contains a line of 15ft long steel wire on a rotating, lockable spool. The free end of the wire, resting just behind her left hand, is securely fastened to a small, pointed metal piece which serves as a grappeling hook. The hook and wire is ejected with a push of a button located on the side of her left gauntlet. Another push of the button will retract the wire back into place.
BIOGRAPHY:
Ashalah was born a slave, growing up in a family of slaves, all owned by the Hutts. During her adolescence, Ashalah witnessed and was subjected to embarrassment at the Hutt’s hands. Her father constructed buildings for the Cartel, with the rest of the male slaves, amidst the heat of Tatooine. Her mother was a dancer for a very influencial member of the Council. Ashalah herself worked as a maid from the moment she turned 6. She was often in close quarters of the Hutt, serving the Cartel drinks and cleaning the headquarters. Due to her time in headquarters, she grew fluent in Huttese, as well as Galactic Basic. When she was 12, she was promoted to translator, as the Hutt enjoyed her witt, her sarcasm, and her loyalty. Ashalah felt loyal to the Cartel because that was the only life she had known. While her parents, who were sold into slavery instead of being born into it, complained about the harsh life, Ashalah didn’t see a problem. The Hutts were fine to her, and the people enjoying their time in the Cartel were entertaining.
One of these people was a human known as Tervor Bossak, a bounty hunter that brought in those who tried to escape the Hutt rule. He grew very fond of the girl and saw something in her others didn’t. In the evenings, after Ashalah was finished her daily chores, he would take her outside into the Tatooine desert to teach her how to use a blaster. Tervor saw her loyalty to the Hutts and wanted her to be more than just a maid or a translator. He took her on as a daughter, as her own father had died due to the intense labour just a few months before. Tervor gave her the nickname Ash, and it has stuck ever since. Ashalah trained with Tervor almost every night until she was 16, when she was again promoted, but in a rather unconventional way.
While she was serving, a guest approached the Hutt, wanting to talk business. When the Hutt agreed, the man drew a blaster and pointed it at him. Ashalah, who was standing only a few feet away from the assassin, leaped to defend her master. Her master, impressed with her loyalty, courage, and how easily she pulled the trigger, made her his bodyguard. She humbly accepted and he sent her away to be further trained. After a year of faithful service, she was given a gift; a pair of multi-purpose gauntlets. At the age of 18, after serving as her master’s bodyguard for two years she became an assassin. She mercilessly hunted anyone who was on the Hutts’ hit list. While she also ran contracts for other clients, her main loyalty was to the Hutts. After taking out many targets for many different Hutts, mainly Sempra, her skills were noted by the criminal organization The Jackals.
While she was in the Hutt Cartel, she showed the Hutt bosses the utmost respect and loyalty. Some might say she was too loyal, and she wouldn't deny that. They also might call her some rich words for it. She followed orders to a T, never strayed from the rules set by the Hutts, and even did some...less than appropriate work to please them. However, she began to show some signs of doubt. After many dominions and victories for the Cartel, many of which were won because of Ashalah, she began to question her position. She couldn't say where all these doubts came from, they just manifested one day and never left. After a change of hands in Cartel leadership and the Hutt she considered her main employer, Sempra the Hutt, stepped down, she left. She was on her own for awhile, doing other people's dirty work in many systems under the alias Azetha.
