Strengths:
  • Good with People: Aryon is a gifted negotiator whose presence puts people at ease. He knows how to wield his authority without being overbearing.
  • Knowledgeable and Savvy: Aryon is a student of history, political science, and law. He uses all three in his decision-making, and they lend him wisdom.
  • Humble and Empathetic: Aryon sees himself as a servant of the people. He recognizes his responsibilities and feels his subjects' concerns deeply.

Weaknesses:
  • Inexperienced: Aryon is new to kingship, and expected many more years before such responsibility was required of him. He knows he has much to learn.
  • Noncombatant: Aryon is no warrior. He hasn't been in a fight since his schoolyard days, and hardly knows his way around a weapon. He must rely on others.
  • Overwhelmed: Aryon knows that he and his people are in a desperate situation, and the responsibility of keeping them safe weighs heavily upon him.

Biography: Aryon Caled Lestyr was born at the tail end of the 400-year darkness, a time that Artorias weathered fairly easily because of its isolation at the galaxy's edge. Much was expected of him from a young age. As a future king, he must not merely be sufficient but excel if he was to ensure a strong future for his people. Tutored as a child by the best minds Artorias could offer and then, during the time of the Galactic Alliance, educated in the Core Worlds, he proved himself to be a bright young man, a quick study in whatever matters he was required to learn. Calm and level-headed, he was often the arbiter between his university friends, and a source of unending support whenever they needed it. After completing his graduate studies in political science on Corellia, he returned home to serve in his own people's government in a relatively minor role while he learned the ins and outs of politics.

Aryon had always anticipated becoming king when his father grew too old and weary, perhaps a decade after his return home. Unfortunately, fate had other plans. With the Sith Empire continuously devouring star system after star system so close to Artorias, the old king felt that he had a responsibility to help neighboring worlds deal with the emerging refugee crisis and band together for mutual protection, driving off the criminals hoping to profit from the chaos at the edge of known space. His policies came with a cost, and both the king and queen were killed at a peace conference on Ord Janon when angry Zygerrian slavers struck back at the governments working to defy them. At the age of twenty-six, Aryon was suddenly thrust into the seat of government, forced to lead his people in what might well become their darkest and most desperate hour since the Yuuzhan Vong War.
