Character Arthur Reville

ARTHUR REVILLE

NAME: Arthur Reville

FACTION: Outer Planet Alliance

RANK: Freelancer/Smuggler

SPECIES: Human

AGE: 22

SEX: Male

HEIGHT: 6'0"

WEIGHT: 195 lbs

EYES: Blue

HAIR: Black

SKIN: Tanned

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Mechanically Minded - Arthur has a natural proclivity for anything with grease and gears. Fixing things and figuring out how they work comes easy to Arthur, making him quite the effective mechanic.

+ Self-Assured - Arthur carries himself with an air of confidence, usually with a smile on his face and excitement abound in his voice. Using the Force as a guide, it can be hard to shake Arthur from his chosen path and decisions, believing it would never lead him astray.

+ Shades of Gray - Meditation is a common activity for Arthur to perform, allowing him to maintain a strong connection with the Force to enhance his senses and average fighting ability. Most importantly, during Arthur's unofficial training outside of either the Jedi or the Sith, he was taught to maintain neutrality within the Force, neither rejecting nor embracing strong emotions as a way to fuel his abilities.

- Lightsaber Meh-ficionado - While capable of holding his own in lightsaber combat, it was never very outstanding. His focus in Form III does well in aiding in playing defensively, but its lack of aggressive options combined with the use of a blaster pistol in his off-hand lends to him being less than spectacular.

- Master of None - Due to his neutrality within the Force, Arthur can pull from both sides at times without feeling the pull to either one and, while using more neutrally inclined powers such as telekinesis, push, and pull, he is quite adept, drawing strength from the Light or Dark side is draining and lacks the punch a master of either could manifest.

- Which Way You Lean - Without a strong moral center to focus on, Arthur rarely acts on his own accord without the promise of something to his benefit at the end. Enough coin can buy a temporary loyalty from him for battles or when needing aid from an attack. So long as he can find a benefit to himself for it, he can be there.

APPEARANCE:
A tall young man with an athletic build, tanned skin, and messy black hair. He is often found wearing a rather garish blue jacket with red stripes running down the sleeves, form fitting enough that it doesn't hinder combat, but loose enough to conceal a lightsaber inside of it. He wears a white undershirt beneath the jacket, with dark pants over heavy boots. Arthur wears a belt around his waist, loaded up with a few tools and his blaster pistol.

BIOGRAPHY:
When Arthur was born, his path in life was thought to have been laid out before him. Kind, loving parents with no anger directed towards anyone or from anyone as they made their simple living on a Dantooine farm. A peaceful world to grow up and eventually inherit the farm on, without worry of potential, galaxy wide conflicts raging over his head in the stars above. Work tirelessly to maintain his life, settle down with a girl, have a family of his own, and continue the cycle anew. Yes, at first glance, one would have written the life of Arthur Reville off as just another life in a galaxy of millions, but one old hermit living not too far away saw something far greater in him.

Unbeknownst to most, the old codger a day's walk outside of down, was once Jedi Master Yuno Sprax. A name and a life he had long since abandoned, having become disillusioned with the ways of the Jedi and seeking his own peace on an out of the way world far from it. However, despite this desire to leave it all behind, the desire to share his knowledge was still greater and, as seemingly the first person to sense Arthur's latent Force sensitivity, he had a way to do so, as well as instill the new idea he had into an impressionable young mind. Yuno convinced the young boy's parents in letting him train Arthur to capitalize on his potential and took him to an old, worn down building deep in a forest to begin his training. Rather than focus on what he had learned within his time in the Order, Yuno chose a different path for his teaching, one he himself had discovered in the years after his departure. A path of balance and embracing one's own emotions without letting themselves be overwhelmed. A path difficult to follow once one has lived life on either side of the fence, but for someone with no experience with either Jedi or Sith, it would be much easier.

For many years, Arthur trained with Yuno, honing his skills and Force abilities through constant meditation, focusing on accepting, but controlling his emotions. As well, he was instructed in Form III, Soresu, though he never was the best at peer-to-peer dueling. He had entered his twenties by the time Yuno had deemed him as well trained as the old man could manage. With his training complete, Yuno presented the young man with the parts necessary to create his own lightsaber, along with a green kyber crystal, leaving Arthur to perform the important ritualistic act and reflect on his life up until that moment. Once completed, Yuno declared himself truly retired, gifting Arthur his ship and instructing him to make his own way into the galaxy with no reservations or fears, a proposition Arthur was eager to accept, soon setting his hyperdrive for parts unknown.

Only....he wasn't really sure what he wanted to do, really. He hopped from planet to planet for a short while, using the credits his parents had given him as a parting gift and random odd jobs to pay his way in cities, as well as pick up on the news and gossip of the galaxy. Slowly, he pieced together the status of the universe, what major players had credits in the betting pool in what star systems, as well as listening in on potential ways to find his fortune. That's when, in a seedy bar of some unnamed Outer Rim moon, he heard word of a job that a minor crime lord needed done. Just some weapons and illicit materials needing to be taken into Sith airspace to reach his cronies on the planet's surface, but it had a good cash payout for what it was and Arthur's pockets were beginning to feel a little light. With a bit of Force buffed persuasion, he found himself as the sole mule for the job with his ship working quite well as a cargo hauler. Not like the job was hard, either way. No one seemed to suspect the bumpkin from Dantooine as a gun runner and, soon, he was counting the credits as one of the crime boss' higher ups directed him to a group that was always looking for good smugglers: the Outer Planet Alliance and who was he to deny good credits?

SHIP:
Rho-1 Limulus-class courier ship. A small, quick craft meant for a tiny crew and small cargo designed to carry its contents with both safety and comfort. It boasts two L1011.a fusial thrust ion engines, though lacks in armor or shields. It has a short range sensor system, a Class 2 Hyperdrive, with a backup Class 10, two light laser cannons, with enough space to carry a pilot, co-pilot, one additional passenger, several tons worth of cargo, and consumables to last up to one month.

EQUIPMENT:
A standard, single bladed lightsaber with a green blade, an A-180 blaster pistol, and a belt with numerous tools designed for fixing mechanical issues. Not particularly equipment, but he can also understand droid binary.
