Arthis

RMSaYHG.png
NAME: Arthis
FACTION: Independent Pirate
RANK: Captain
SPECIES: Ubese
AGE: 28
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 1.8m
WEIGHT: 69kg
EYES: White
HAIR: Black
SKIN: White
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
[+]Son of Titan: Arthis, first and foremost is a Son of Titan. He was a Lieutenant with the Private Military Special Forces group, and as such received training that the others did not. Arthis is a marksmen, a well rounded hand to hand combatant, and an expert in tactics. He was one of the few Sons of Titan that received training in every field instead of a specialized qualification. He is uniquely rounded and one of the few officers to survive through the unconditioning process. Due to this, Arthis is a well rounded combatant and perhaps one of the deadliest men in the entire galaxy.

[+]Leader: Like many other Lieutenants and officers within the Sons of Titan, Arthis is a natural born leader. He was personally picked out by Kiran Vess to become one of the squad leaders of the Sons and was eventually promoted to Lieutenant. Though he rarely speaks, when he does it's in a tone of authority. People tend to follow him simply due to his will, a powerful air hanging around him at all times. Though he has only looked up to a few people, it's clear that Arthis understands the roll of leadership, and its weight.

[-]Nerve Cluster: Though not common in all Ubese, located in some of his kind is a Nerve Cluser in the small of his back. This bunching of nerve cords is a sensitive spot, when struck, it causes debilitating pain, more often than not bringing the man to his knees. Few know exactly where this cluster is located, and fewer know that Arthis actually has it.

[-]Broken: Arthis as a Son of Titan was mentally conditioned, tortured, and rigorously tested. His mind is fractured, split into so many pieces it's nearly impossible to describe. Though once a normal Ubese, Arthis is now a shadow of himself. His thoughts are often scattered and broken, his goals are hidden within mists, and his own thoughts are hardly controlled. Though he is still driven and even reliable, it is clear that Arthis is no longer fully in control of himself, instead he is driven by a series of meticulous impulses.

APPEARANCE:
Arthis appears to the be typical Ubese, if that could be said to be a thing.

Like many of his species, Arthis cannot show his face on a planet with regular atmosphere. Many Ubese wear armor, Arthis is no exception. Though beneath his armor he is what most would consider typical of his kind. He has bright white eyes, no pupils, and pale white skin. His hair is black and his face seems to be completely devoid of hair even without shaving. He has a stern set to his jaw, and he carries himself with an air of authority.

More often than not, Arthis holds himself in a stoic silence. At times he speaks, though these moments are rare. More often then not Arthis communicates with hand signals or simple body language, those who know him closely being uniquely attuned to his way of 'speaking'. There is a certain menace that sticks to Arthis.

The armor that Arthis wears is regular Titan Guard Armor, however, the suit has not been upkept with regular maintenance. Though the armorweave and main systems are still in perfect working order, the skull holo-graphic mask is damaged. Usually capable of changing, moving, and even displaying emotion, Arthis' mask is broken. The skull face shifts and changes in odd ways, sometimes cutting in half, sometimes openings its jaws wide. The Skull seems to scream and shift, half erasing itself before returning. These odd changes in his mask happen at random, and are terrifying to behold.

BIOGRAPHY:
Arthis is a former Son of Titan turned Pirate.

He began his life like many other Ubese, on his home-world born to his mother and father. His parents, particularly his father, were useless individuals. Both of them were addicts, his father particularly taking to spice as a weakness. He learned from an early age that people were flawed and broken, incapable of making the correct decisions for themselves. He saw his parents particularly at fault for this, seeing them be unable to control themselves in a culture where control was everything.

Arthis did the only thing he could do, enlisting at the age of fifteen in a mercenary band to get away from his abusive parents, knowing full well that he would not likely return to his parents, or even his planet.

The young boy took to the true culture of the Ubese quite well. He was a stoic, silent type, fast to learn and even faster to do. He quickly gained a reputation among his fellows for being fearless, often leading the charge and jumping in before anyone else. For nearly five years he ran with the mercenary band, collecting paychecks through the most violent and deplorable means possible.

Arthis participated in more than a few campaigns in the outer rim, his mercenary company being hired by more than one warlord to wipe out one settlement or another.

It was during this time that Arthis met Kiran Vess. The young Zeltron was, at the time, scouting for members of the future Sons of Titan. Kiran met Arthis in battle during one of these scouting trips, meeting the young man just as she cut the throat of the corrupt governor of an outer rim world that Kiran had been hired to protect. After a brief fight in hand to hand combat Kiran bested Arthis, bringing the stoic young man to the ground and fracturing his arm in several places until he stopped struggling.

At that point, Kiran offered Arthis a job.
With little choice left to him, Arthis accepted the position.

Over the next four years, Arthis, along with a thousand other men was trained, conditioned, and mentally broken. Arthis was transformed into the perfect soldier, the perfect killer. His natural cultural inclination, his upbringing, and everything that he had experienced throughout his life seemed to position him perfectly for the job at hand, and quickly Arthis began to shine during the training regiment.

It was during this training that Arthis became a Sergeant within the ranks of the Sons.

Upon graduation and the Sons first foray into actual battle Arthis lead the charge. He was one of the first to participate in combat, and one of the first to bloody his ax. The first campaign was Prakith. The bloody siege by the Republic that saw the first active mobilization of the Sons of Titan. It was here that Arthis began his fight, slaughtering dozens of Republic soldiers with his squad.

The Sons protected Titan Industries assets, ensuring that all went well and everything went smoothly. After the battle was completed, Arthis and his squad-mates were commended.

It also marked the beginning of Arthis' bloody campaign. Well funded, well equipped, and ordered to heinous things in the claim of corporate glory Arthis began to cut a bloody swathe wherever it was necessary. His duties included the suppression of locals, the defense of important trade points, attack on rival corporations, and dozens of other tasks that one would expect from elite special forces.

This carried on for nearly three years, Arthis being promoted to Lieutenant in that time.

The Ubese served loyally, fighting for Titan and alongside his fellow Sons to an almost perfect degree.

All that changed when Alric Kuhn disappeared. The man's absence threw the Sons of Titan for a loop, the soldiers being loyal to not only him, but the Corporation itself. When Tsavong Kraal took over the company the Sons experienced their bloodiest period to date.

They were thrown into the chaos of Tsavong's betrayal, individual units ordered to fight against Sith, Yuuzhan Vong, and oddly enough even other Titan Soldiers. The Sons held up well for a time, individual units managing to kill several Sith and entire units of Yuuzhan Vong soldiers. Eventually however, their numbers proved their undoing and the Sons slowly crumbled to half of their original unit.

When the conflict ended, and Titan lost, the Sons were relegated to the position of guards.

This, not sitting well with the Sons, caused stirring among the military band, and eventually Arthis and the other Lieutenants reached out to their former Commander, Kiran Vess. They asked him to free them of their bonds, a deadly and perhaps disastrous question. Kiran obliged, warning them of the dangers.

Nearly all the Sons of Titan underwent the procedure. Grueling days of torture, conditioning, and outright beatings in order to 'reset' their psychosis. The Sons underwent the most grueling and exhausting tortures known to the galaxy, killing more than half of them and rendering the rest, broken.

Arthis was one of the broken.

Despite the cracks within his psyche and the lack of control he now held as his personality Arthis gathered his brothers too him. The Sons of Titan dropped their corporations name from their moniker, striking at the Shipyards on Copero and slaughtering more than a thousand civilians in order to steal and make off with a Skrii-Ro'ik Cruiser.

Through this, The Sons declared their independence, doing the one thing that would allow them to be free.

Piracy.
