PRELUDE
THE FIRE INSIDE
Artemis was born the twin sister of Lorsimo, and the younger sibling of Isley the Younger. She is the daughter of Teyn Gratiir, and Amaya Cardei-Verd, the granddaughter of Isley Verd/Darth Metus. Artemis grew up on Naboo learning how to play the games that nobles often play. A game she soon grew tired of, and soon followed in the path of her brothers. Leaving Naboo to train with her grandfather, being taught how to wield weapons, how to fight, and how to harness her natural abilities with the Force. Artemis returned to Naboo and joined their military forces, becoming one of their trusted pathfinders.
This would not last for when the Confederacy fell, and the privilege she enjoyed throughout its worlds, Naboo included vanished. Artemis was confronted by Anti-Sith, and Anti-Confederacy sentiments. Coupled with the few Mandalorians who knew who her father was, Artemis realized that she needed to prove herself. Prove that she wasn't just another Verd or the kind to easily fall prey to the manipulations of Sith despite her heritage. As she prepared to depart Naboo. Artemis' mother gave her a locket, this locket once belonged to her namesake Artemis Lux. Amaya had hoped that one day her own daughter might be just as wise, kind, and brave.
Artemis gave her mother one last hug, before setting off with her own little ship. Leaving Naboo behind to carve out a path of her own, and embrace her own destiny whatever that might be.
