STRENGTHS
  • Extreme levels of armor to ensure survival via multiple different armor systems

  • Automated fighting systems (The 2 AI's are capable of using the ship to its fullest extent in every situation, making the need for a crew mostly unnecessary. The AI cores aren't localized and are backed up multiple times, meaning that they can only be properly deactivated if all their cores are taken out. Needless to say, they are protected extremely well with the anti boarding systems)
  • Anti-boarding systems: The ship is a death trap for anybody entering the ship unwanted. Dozens of dozens of defensive systems are built into the interior and are ready to kill off even the most resilient targets, or at least push them out. (Examples of the defensive systems are: Hidden turrets, defensive robots, shrapnel mines, automated vacuum panels, poisonous gas, microwave emitters, sonic mines)
  • Support mode: Shira can communicate with the ship via a cybernetic implant and order it to support her with long-range support fire or to pick her up

WEAKNESSES
  • Only 1 AI active at a time unless in combat (The AI's are working on shifts unless there is an intimidate threat to the owner of the ship or the ship itself+ the AI's
  • The ramp has a weird layout in form of a kind of elevator. This limits the size of the cargo that can be loaded in, as well as the size of Shira's personal starfighter.
  • The ship attracts attention naturally due to the strong ornament as well as armor system
  • The ship countermeasures require extensive maintenance which in turn eats away time and requires a lot of repair droids
  • The ship is loud from the outside. Extremely loud.
  • Aggressive cleaning/repair droids: If you leave stuff laying around that could be perceived as trash or spare parts, the droids will take it away and throw it either in the trash or put it into some kind of container
  • During stealth mode the ship still can be seen via optical sensors or heard. Additionally, hyperdrive cant be activated during stealth mode.
DESCRIPTION
The arsenal bird is Shira's personal starship that she uses on her journeys through the galaxy. Having received the offer to build her own ship from an Alderaan noble after saving him from kidnappers, Shira took up upon the offer and build this ship in preparation for her leaving the jedi order. Due to the extensive funding she received from the noble and the fact that she served as a field commander and had been shot down by guided weapons before and is suffering from the aftermath of this every day, she took great care in making the ship as defensive as possible. Knowing that any amount of armor won't do good without something to back it up, she designed the ship's weapon system.

As Shira knew that she would likely be alone the moment she left the order, she managed to buy 2 enslaved black market AI's. As they were bought, Shira gave them the choice between living freely as a droid on their own will or becoming her friends and partners. With the AI's deciding to stay with Shira, she undertook several modifications with the AI's help, thinking about their strength and their weaknesses as well.

The result is an over-gunned and understaffed corvette that not only is a tool for SHira but her home in every aspect there is.

The arsenal bird is a corvette class combat freighter/dropship. The crew can vary from 0 persons (thanks to the AI support) up to 8 persons comfortably with the possibility of more, however under less hospitable conditions. The ship itself is based on the blueprints of the jedi defender corvette, however, this whip packs a significantly higher punch and is benefiting from much more sophisticated defensive measures.

The main intention of the ship is combat for obvious reasons. Due to the fact that the hyperdrive isn't the fastest and the ship lacks an interdiction mode, it is designed for ground-based warfare first and foremost, specifically for intrusion in enemy airspace as well as extraction of allied units. The turrets are designed to cover the ship in every direction and due to the heavy armament, they are able to go toe to toe with heavy ground attack vehicles. The shields are strong enough to engage energy-based surface-air defense systems and the ECM can interrupt most projectiles with ease, while the armor provides enough defense for whatever manages to penetrate in a multiple layer system.

Due to Shira's fear of getting bearded or the ship stolen, there are multiple sadistic defense measures installed on the inside that have capabilities to deal with most threats with relative ease.

The crew compartment is designed to be comfy. Due to the fact that Shira lives alone (for now) on the ship, she has spread her stuff over the different rooms and uses them as separate rooms. The commander's quarter has its own hygiene area, while the rest of the crew have a larger, shared one.

In combat, the ship has surprising maneuverability for its size that is provided by several gyroscopes and repulsor pads that ensure the ship always is able to keep most of its weapons engaged. Due to the ship's lower speed compared to other ship, it has missile launchers that are able to provide AD, air to air, or ai to ground support at a moment's notice. The tail wings are slightly larger than the frontal wings, this means that, if the ship is perfectly aligned, 6 turrets can open fire on a target in front of the ship. Additionally, it is worthwhile mentioning that the turrets are controlled remotely from inside the ship.

Despite its "interesting" abilities it can land legally on most civil starports and military (given the access codes are correct).

Furthermore, the bridge is at the nose of the ship and works with mostly cameras to the outside instead of windows. On the ship's belly there is an observation deck located. The ship has a holding area for bounty targets.

Points that can be abused:

In case the ship isnt in a combat-ready shape or has been taken out, boarding parties can and will eventually overcome even the defensive systems through sheer mass and numbers. Aside from that the ship is, while quite potent in its armor and weaponry, not almighty. Due to the fact that it is so loud, a quiet entrance or escape is nearly impossible. The weaponry and specific layout of the ship make it easy recognizable.
