It is known that the Sith Changelings, being a relatively recently created artificial species, as of yet have few natural-born members; certainly, none would have had the time to be born and grow into the young adult you see before you through natural means. It thus seems obvious to assume that Acolyte Zarr was transformed, at some point, potentially fairly recently and potentially as a child - it's not in our records, but then Alchemists are not known for their openness, and neither is the young Acolyte. As far as I am concerned, however, it matters little; either he will succeed and prove himself worthy of the Sith or he will die.
