The Kingdom of CaliburnThe Kingdom of Caliburn is a constituent region of The Iron Empire. Its lands are situated within the south of Avalon, and span the west coast of the continent's southern landmass. Once the richest and most powerful of Arondier Kingdoms, it now stands a mere shadow of its former self.
At it's height, Caliburn's influence extended far across the southern lands of Avalon. This however, was not enough for its wanting King. Consumed by greed, and discontent with his already-vast holdings, he sought more. Through the arrival of the Usurper, an opportunity arose. Caliburn's King broke the ancient treaty, and allied with the invader. Together, they declared war, and marched on the Kingdoms of Avalon.
Following their defeat, Caliburn was subject to severe reparations. For breaking the ancient treaty, much of its vast lands were annexed. A substantial portion of its northern territory, including that of the Great Lake, was relinquished to the Kingdom of Clarent. The most eastern of its lands, home to Avalon's richest mines, were ceded to the Kingdom of Secace.
