Areas of Vulnerability
R0DmwED.jpg
I would appreciate in the case that this is approved and someone is looking at the specs of Vexen's armor (Especially if they are fighting with him) to make some attempt of at least identifying that those are vulnerable spots after correctly assuming/figuring out that they are not in fact protected with a Phrik mesh.

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Helmet Systems
The helmet provides an array of sensors that are able to display an unrestricted field of view in front of him. It also provides Vexen information regarding his current surroundings, the status of his armor's systems as well as his vitals

[*]
Life Support Systems
  • The suit provides thirty minutes of oxygen for vacuum environments and is protected from environmental conditions. An inner gel layer regulates the body temperature to compensate for temperature extremes and functions as the last line of defense against blaster bolts or lightsabers by reducing the damage afflicted by heat. The armor can be pressurized assuming it has not sustained any significant damage to its exterior.

[*]
Neural Fail-Safe
  • In the event that there are strange brain patterns that are not currently recorded, the suit delivers a shock to the nervous system to jolt the user out of any sort of influenced effect. This was implemented in the event that Kor began to experience any strange memory relapses that may cause him to fight ineffectively in the middle of a battle for an extended period of time.

[*]Magboots
  • Magnetic locks are built into the boots to keep the wearer rooted to whatever metallic surface they are standing on, whether on the hull of a space ship or a metallic hallway. The lock is typically more than enough to resist the effects of any Force based powers that attempt to move the wearer whilst they are planted on a metallic surface

[*]Phrik Plating
  • Though the majority of its construction is duraplast, there is enough to keep vital areas critical to a duelist's mobility and ability to fight protected. The large shoulder pauldrons are primarily duraplast, but the head, neck, gauntlets, chest plate, sides of the torso, thighs and calf areas are plated with Phrik. The front part of his lower torso is lightly armored with a rather sturdy armor weave to allow for hip rotation and mobility.

DESCRIPTION

The KV-0813 is a suit specifically designed for use by Kor Vexen after he suffered a near-fatal defeat at the hands of a Jedi; its aesthetics were designed by him while the finer details of its construction were done by a number of engineers. The armor adopts a more archaic appearance, appearing rather simple in terms of what it is capable of, but engineers have worked tirelessly in its construction to ensure that it is up to standards with some of the higher quality standards for armor. The bulk of the armor's construction is in duraplast, with Phrik plating to reinforce critical areas, making it light enough in addition to the endoskeletal exo-suit to move with the speed and dexterity of someone who primarily focuses on melee combat.

Though appearing bulky, it is relatively lightweight, and even more so when worn. The palm of the right hand has an integrated holo-communicator while the palm and fingers of the left are reinforced with a flexible Phrik composite mesh effectively allowing for Kor to grab an opponent's lightsaber for a brief period of time, long enough to redirect the opponent's lightsaber and throw off their balance. Extended contact with a lightsaber will burn away the non-Phrik composite and render the glove useless. Most blocking against lightsaber usage will often be done by his vambraces acting as a shield. The helmet's faceplate can slide away to relieve Kor of any claustrophobic wear from time to time, or to utilize his hypnotic abilities and has slots that retract to allow for Kor's feeding tentacles out.

The suit of armor can be taken off simply to allow for Vexen to be able to sleep without being shocked by the neural fail-safe, though he still requires the use of a respirator when outside of the suit to properly regulate breathing.

Strengths:

  • The surface of the armor plating is finely grooved and machined to specifically disperse the force of blaster bolts, spreading out the force and heat across a larger area to minimize the lethality of a blaster bolt and lessen the damage taken. Concentrated fire is required to harm the wearer in areas that aren't plated in Phrik. The armor weave at the joints provides a similar protection but to a lesser degree. This dispersal allows Vexen to recover much quicker from being shot at.

  • The incorporated endoskeletal exo-suit increases the wearer's strength to compensate for the heavier weight of the armor. It also bolsters the wearer's physical strength considerably.
  • Due to the construction and design, it is considerably difficult to harm the wearer from lightsaber attacks, especially slashes but is still prone to harmful stabs and lunges at the joints or areas which are not plated with Phrik to allow mobility.

  • The armor is fully insulated and well suited to cope with anything thrown at it, from the environment to powers of the Force that utilize elements primarily in the form of lightning, extreme heat or extreme cold.

Weaknesses:

  • Despite being fairly armored, there are exposed areas, where armor plating was sacrificed for the sake of weight, flexibility, and mobility. Focused attacks directed at those areas, will result in damage though they are narrow areas that are typically guarded. Because of the amount of plating to cover vital areas, his range of motion is fairly limited, and therefore his lightsaber combat must accommodate for it.

  • The suit may be able to protect against most weapons that will be used against him, but it is highly susceptible to kinetic/impact-based weaponry such as slugthrowers and weapons that fire solid projectiles as the armor is not designed to disperse the force of a non-blaster weapon.

  • Due to the nature of the still fairly heavy armor, even with the inner exo-suit, mobility is a hefty issue the top running speed being just under 10 to 12 km/h on average for the wearer. An opponent who can spot early on this flaw may take the safe approach when engaging him and utilize superior mobility or range to keep out of range of Vexen when in combat.

  • The Neural Fail-Safe is designed to keep Vexen's specific mental condition in check, however, the shock administered will stun him briefly regardless, leaving him momentarily vulnerable to attack or to allow an opponent time to regain their bearings.

  • Damage to the helmet may disrupt the sensor suite that allows Vexen an unrestricted field of view, forcing him to rely on the gaps in his helmet to see or his grasp of the Force to sense where his opponents are.

No questions, just want to thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Feel free to take your time and I hope to resolve any issues quickly.

This is incredibly heavy, like another human heavy. The average heavy armor is about 12-15kg, this is nearly five times heavier than that. I would highly suggest lowering this to something closer to 20-25 kg if you are intending on this being incredibly cumbersome. 50 KG would, more or less, make you incredibly immobile in any kind of combat situation.

Please include resistances to the elements in your resistances section, whether it be heat, cold, and so on.

Affiliation: Closed Market
As this is unique to your character, the affiliation of this armor should be with your character.

Edits have been made to correct areas in which you brought up. I forgot to change it to pounds which is why the weight was so high. If there are any further concerns, please fire away.
