PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Arlow is a young Jedi who is meticulous about maintaining her gear. Her chest-length brown hair is always well-groomed, and though her warm-colored robes, armor, and utility belts have many layers, she can get in and out of them quickly and with practiced ease. Her lightsaber is a warm yellow color, which well compliments the golden undertones of her skin. Her monolid eyes are brown and slightly narrow; her eyebrows full, high, and arched. On the middle-left side of her chest is a scar from where she was impaled by a piece of rebar as a child. It is visible on both the front and back of her body.
INVENTORY
- Kenobi-Pattern Jedi Armor
- FFS- Utility Belt
- Single-bladed lightsaber with a yellow kyber crystal
- A small worry stone, made smooth by the Force. It was once a part of the foundation of her childhood home.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Arlow is a determined and dedicated young woman who has set herself on the path to achieving a particular dream. She is a very hard worker, and will practice or study something doggedly until she has reached a level of mastery she is satisfied with. This single-mindedness has not led to a thriving social life, and she is sometimes seen as stuffy or rigid by her peers. Underneath, though, is a vibrant, passionate young woman with an enormous heart. Her ultimate goal is to selflessly help others and make the galaxy a safer, kinder place.
Due to a childhood incident that would come to shape her entire future, Arlow has Claustrophobia.
STRENGTHS
Delicate Telekinesis: As an aspiring search-and-rescue specialist, Arlow has honed her control when physically manipulating objects with the Force to an above-average degree. She hopes to use this in the field to remove debris and rubble from victims without hurting them.
Life-Sense: Arlow has practiced tracking the location of sentient life-forms in the Force. Her intent is to be able to locate people missing in the wilderness, or find those trapped beneath objects and hidden from view and traditional sensor technology.
Determined Learner: While the background knowledge needed for her chosen profession is great, especially in the realms of Physics, Architecture, and Triage, Arlow takes to the training manuals and technical journals with dogged aplomb. She may not become an expert on something overnight, but when she dedicates herself to a particular study, she is readily able to absorb the information and form a solid foundation.
WEAKNESSES
Untested Idealist: Arlow has a lot of big ideas and grand plans for her life, but little actual experience in the field.
Claustrophobia: Arlow is terrified of small, dark spaces from which she cannot escape. If she becomes trapped in one, she may start to panic.
Straight Man: Arlow can sometimes take things a little too seriously, and has yet to learn the value of a well-placed joke in high-stress situations.
HISTORY
Arlow lived an idyllic childhood, growing up on a peaceful agrarian world. Then, just before her teens, disaster struck. Arlow's city was rocked by an extremely powerful groundquake, which led to widespread damage to roads, disconnected power lines, and the collapse of many buildings. One such doomed building had housed the apartment in which the Vex family lived. While her parents died beneath kilotons of rubble almost immediately, the extreme circumstances caused the young girl's latent potential in the Force to reveal itself, saving her life. She was able to instinctively shield herself, holding back large pieces of collapsing building and causing them to settle in such a way that she was protected from instant death within a small 'crawl space' of relative safety. However, it also meant she was trapped at the heart of a fallen building with no food, water, light, or way of communication. She also had no way of telling time. It was a traumatizing and harrowing experience, one from which she was freed thirty hours later when a Force-User helping with the relief efforts sensed her presence and led a team to dig her out.
Injured, traumatized, and dehydrated, Arlow doesn't remember much of what happened next. She spent a few months in a hospital recovering from her traumatic injuries, both physical and mental. Afterward, she lived with her aunt and uncle for a short time, attempting to make her way through life as a normal civilian teenager, before eventually making the decision to abandon that path and seek out training with an Order of Force-users.
Having completed her time as an Initiate, Arlow now seeks to hone her skills as a Padawan under the guidance of a Master. The tale of the recent defensive and rescue efforts in Hanna City reached her ears, and after hearing it, Arlow decided to track down those brave souls that participated and ask if any of them would be willing to take her on as an apprentice.
