Important Locations:
  • Shipboard Bar: One of the wealthiest bars in the Confederacy, decked out with every type of alcoholic beverage in the known galaxy. Features comfortable chairs, Sabaac & Dejarik tables, and a dance floor as well as good food. Enormous, and the perfect place for a party or for battle-weary crew to relax. Or a little bit of both.
  • Command Bridge: Large and spacious, the Command Bridge is split into two sections; the fore and aft. The fore features the two standard command pits housing Astrogation, Comm-Scan, Gunnery, Flight Command, and a one-hundred-eighty degree transparisteel window for visuals. The aft houses Comm-Scan and Flight Command as well as an Advanced Battle Management System, using sensors to construct a three-dimensional holographic display of the surrounding battle and direct communications to either individual fleet ships or entire sections of ships.

Defenses:
Other:
x8Xhl6.gif

  • Big Guns: The Storm King is well equipped, able to easily take on a small fleet with the amount of offensive weapons at its disposal.
  • Armored: With reinforced Durasteel/Quadrillium plating, advanced deflector shield technology and both anti-fighter Quad-Laser cannons and Anti-missile Octects, the Storm King is able to weather even the hardest tempests. Shocksteel plates also reinforce protection around vital systems, adding furter resistance to ion and laser weapons, while the Phalanx Tesudo shield system, Aegis Shield Generators and Duban Shield System make the Storm King's defenses almost impenetrable (almost, that is).
  • Death Ray: Equipped with an ATX-190 Hypervelocity Cannon, the massive weapon is able to deal death on a massive scale.
x8X6Mp.gif

  • Big Boy: For it's massive size and amount of weapons, the Storm King is not designed for fast pursuit or tight maneuvers. The Storm King is also not able to make precise micro-jumps into hyperspace, meaning that it has to depend on only sublight thrusters in the heat of battle.
  • Imprecise: Although destructive, the ATX-190 Hypervelocity Cannon requires moving the ship to aim it, meaning the time between each volley is extremely long and the accuracy is slow.
  • Needs Friends: Although powerful in its own rights, the Storm King has no fighter complement, and although it's powerful point-defense systems can more than make up for the lack of a fighter complement, support ships are still needed to shore up the areas where the Storm King lacks.

  • Uses hyperdrive to launch rods at high speeds
x8Xhl6.gif

  • Battle Buster: Any ship hit can say goodbye to its career; a successful hit by just one round will completely annihilate a ship in its path.
  • Effective against Shields: The speed of the rod fired ensures that no ship can hide behind its shield.
  • Chain Destruction: If a rod hits its target, then fragments from the initial impact can hit ships behind the target. dealing damage to them as well.
x8X6Mp.gif

  • Big Boy: This is a massive cannon. Only ships dreadnought size can feasibly equip this, and it takes a lot of energy to operate.
  • Slow Reload Speed: It takes ages to reload this cannon, meaning it is not an effective weapon for skirmishes or quick firefights. Realistically, it can only be fired around every fifteen minutes, and that is with all systems functioning perfectly.
  • Poor Accuracy: The cannon is not autonomous; a ship has to completely move to aim the cannon, meaning precise shots are nigh impossible. It is also hard to hit smaller and faster ships, making it only a practical weapon for battlecruisers and larger.
  • Ammo is Costly: Barradium isn't some common metal; each rod costs significantly more than any other piece of ammunition in the Confederacy.
  • Chain Destruction (Ain't that Good): Fragments from an impact, while still traveling at high speeds, are extremely small and can not cripple or maim a ship.
x8Xqme.gif

Nicknamed the 'Fleet Buster' and rightly so, the ATX-190 Hyperspace Cannon is an extremely powerful armament designed solely for the purpose of a unique Super Star Destroyer within the CIS. It's innovative technology uses the ancient technology of hyperspace cannons, developed by early spacers to launch ships through hyperspace before the invention of the hyperdrive. Scaling down its power draw and life support features, as well as its overall size to go from the launching of bulk cruisers to small, eight-meters by one-meter barradium rods a the speed of hyperspace. Using the incredible speed of hyperspace as well as the properties of Barradium to create a truly devastating impact. The mere speed of the rods allows it to bypass almost all conventional shields and other forms of defense, completely splitting a ship in half if hit. The impact also splits the barradium rod, and those smaller particles still travelling at high speeds can impact ships behind the target and deal quite a bit of damage to them. It is not a weapon without its limitations, though, as the fact that it has to be aimed by maneuvering the ship it is equipped on (and that the ship in question is a slow and has very low maneuverability) means that most ships smaller than a conventional battlecruiser are safe from its destructive gaze. It is also extremely cumbersome to load, and ammo is costly which means wasting a shot is paramount to a demotion.

x8XEWf.gif

  • The RKSF-55 is designed with two barrels, which fire two shots simultaneously.
x8Xhl6.gif

  • Double-barreled: The double-barrel aspect of the RSKF-55 means that it is far more powerful than contemporary pistols, able to rip holes in armor with a certain punch.
x8X6Mp.gif

  • Big Boy: Since the RSKF-55 is all around larger and more powerful than your average pistol, that means it is busier and heavier as well and overall more cumbersome.
  • Aggressive Negotiations: This is not a blaster that one could conceal very well, and is meant for officers on the battlefield versus operatives and diplomats.
x8Xqme.gif

The RSKF-55 was a blaster specially commissioned for officer use first by High Marshal Kiff Brayde, of the CIS Miranda Sector Armada. Kiff recognized the need for a high-powered sidearm that, while not having the same connotations and size of standard blaster rifles, could still serve officers well on a pitched battlefield. Many parts of the design came from the old Blastech RSKF-44 model, and it is indeed like a sequel to the earlier gun. The RSKF-55 is designed for higher level Confederacy officers (Vice Marshal and above, ideally) to use when they might be feeling a little trigger-happy and want to visit the front themselves.

Although it is a powerful gun, able to rip chunks in armor or droid plating, it is hefty and cumbersome with a barrel large enough to be held in a standard two-hand grip. Indeed, it is as if its a 'small blaster rifle,' and definitely has the aspect of such. Around twenty-inches in length overall, it is definitely a big gun and anyone who is facing its double barrel is in deep trouble.

  • Targeting System: The BAK-24 Assault Concussion Missile is outfitted with an inbuilt targetting system designed to deliver its payload with extreme accuracy.
  • Advanced Delivery System: The BAK-24 Assault Concussion Missile's rocket delivery system means that it can deliver it's payload faster than most conventional missiles.
x8Xhl6.gif

  • Big Boom: The Baradium-Compound Warhead produces a higher damaging explosion than most conventional warheads
  • Advanced Delivery: With inbuilt targeting systems and powerful rockets, the BAK-24 can more quickly and more accurately hit its targets.
x8X6Mp.gif

  • Expensive: The combined costs of inbuilt targeting, powerful delivery system and warhead production means that the BAK-24 is an expensive missile to produce. It is definetely not a model suited for widespread use across entire fleets.
x8Xqme.gif

The BAK-24 Assault Concussion Missile was designed to deliver a hard-hitting payload more accurately and faster than every before. With inbuilt targeting and powerful rocket boosters, the BAK-24 is able to hit its target almost every time if placed in the hands of competent crewmen. However, the expensive costs of producing this missile means that it isn't some model that can be mass-produced, with distribution and usage something that need to be highly regulated.

  • Contains components for direct interfacing with ship sensor systems to create accurate depictions of target locations
  • Contains components to receive feedback from shots to subsequently adjust aim for higher accuracy
  • Contains components to interface with Arkanis Tech Sensor Systems Packages, extending the range of the BSE-15 further than most targeting packages.
x8Xhl6.gif

  • Accuracy: The BSE-15 Targeting Package helps assist gun crews with making accurate shots, even over long distances.
  • Quick: The advanced components and software of the BSE-15 make calculations quick and efficient, enabling for faster and more accurate volleys.
  • Efficient: The BSE-15 is able to easily interface with existing weapon technology and sensor systems.
x8X6Mp.gif

  • Expensive: The BSE-15 targeting package is extremely expensive to install, making it counter-productive to install it on poorly-designed and low-investment ships.
x8Xqme.gif

The BSE-15 Targeting Package is a design produced exclusively for the Confederacy of Independent Systems by Brayde Systems Engineering. Designed to easily with weapons systems and sensor systems, the BSE-15 makes the life of a gunnery crew much more easier. With advanced technology, it can render shots even over long distances extremely accurate. The only downside is the cost to produce and install the BSE-15, meaning that only high-investment capital ships should be equipped with the targeting package.

MEMBERS
High Marshal Kiff Brayde: High Marshal of the Confederacy Defense Force and the Miranda Sector Armada, Task Force Broken Crown is under the leadership of High Marshal Brayde.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Task Force Broken Crown was formed by Kiff Brayde to replace the smaller 186th Siege Line. Formed after the Sith invasion of Pantora and with the upcoming Confederacy invasion of Mandalorian-held Tanaab, Task Force Broken Crown is one of the first operating Confederacy fleets to show off two of the CDF's latests ships-of-the-line; the Thoros-class Artillery Battlecruiser and Saboath II-class Assault Cruiser. Composed to be a versatile yet heavy-hitting fleet, Task Force Broken Crown is only utilized for large-scale battles or invasions, and is composed of six smaller battle lines, all from the CIS Miranda Sector Armada and under the command of High Marshal Brayde. While it has yet to see service, all of its ships and crews have been selected for the distinction in which they have performed service to the Confederacy in the past, making Task Force Broken Crown truly a force to be reckoned with.

  • Gunner: The Thoros-class Artillery Cruiser is powerfully armed, with two Orbital Autocannons, BAK-24 Assault Concussion Missiles and Hypervelocity cannons. Suffice to say, the Thoros-class is able to pack a punch.
  • Hit 'em before you see 'em: the Thoros-class Artillery Cruiser is built around long-range combat, and when used correctly is able to deal out massive amounts of damage while safe from return fire.
x8X6Mp.gif

  • Clumsy: The Thoros-class is built around long-range combat that does not require much maneuvering, and thus is unable to perform precise maneuvers or micro-jumps. It's lack of precise maneuvering engines means that it is useless in short ranges, and it requires tug craft to guide it into port. It is also completely dependent on sublight thrusters when in the middle of battle.
  • Needs Friends: The Thoros-class is a powerful ship, yes, but designed to be a support ship in the sense that it can only be effective at long ranges. The Thoros-class is without an adequate fighter complement and anti-fighter defenses, and lacks adequate weaponry to deal with smaller, faster ships. These drawbacks mean that the Thoros-class depends on other support ships to defend it from smaller vessels.
  • Expensive: With its large size and powerful equipment, the Thoros-class Artillery Battlecruiser costs a pretty penny, and it would be financially unwise for a faction to use these models carelessly or mass-produce them.
x8Xqme.gif

If one word could be used to describe the Thoros-class Artillery Battlecruiser, it would be death. Indeed, the Thoros-class is a mighty powerful ship, something that can be inferred from the designation 'Artillery Cruiser.' Designed around long-range combat, the Thoros-class Artillery Battlecruiser is meant to be used at long ranges to deal out painful dishes of destruction, or to set worlds aflame. It's two ventrally-mounted Orbital Cannons can carve chunks out of a battlecruiser or vaporize groundside bases, while it's hypervelocity cannons and Assault Concussion Missiles can destroy ships before they're even in conventional range. However, all of these advantages come at the expense of some flaws; the Thoros-class is by no means a balanced ships, and requires carriers and smaller ships to defend itself against starfighters and smaller, faster spaceships. It's lack of precision thrusters means that it is unable to perform precise maneuvers and thus is woefully ineffective in close-range combat, and it takes significant financial backing to build the Thoros-class. All in all, it is a heavy-hitting ship meant to beef up the firepower of already balanced fleets from a long range.

x8Xhl6.gif

  • Small but Powerful: The Saboath II contains a powerful armament for its size, making it a useful and powerful ship in smaller fleets
  • Balanced: For the most part, the Saboath II is a balanced ship, with a powerful armament, adequate fighter complement, strong defenses and adequate thrusters
x8X6Mp.gif

  • No More Room: The Saboath II is incapable of ferrying troops or vehicles of any sort, and is purely a battle-made ship. It also lacks any support craft to ferry crew from one place to another, so to exit or enter a Saboath II the ship must be landed or docked.
x8Xqme.gif

The Saboath II-class Assault Cruiser was commissioned of Brayde Hyper Works by Vicelord Metus of the Confederacy of Independent Systems to be a capable medium-sized warship. While only half the size of typical warships, it's armament, defenses, and fighter complement make it a fierce cruiser and a lethal foe. However, due to the amount of space all the offensive and defensive equipment takes up, the Saboath II is incapable of ferrying troops, vehicles or support craft and fleets must rely on carrier-oriented ships for that capacity.
