- Hair color: White
- Breathes: Type 1
- Dev Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/31507-logs-of-duvain-labs/#entry443548 (Word Count: 1,839. Post Count: 6)
- Strengths:
- Telepathic Shroud - as with Stennes Shifters, 355 has an innate affinity for a telepathic ability that clouds the minds of others and allow him to go unnoticed in crowds. The ability will not work if he is not in a crowd, nor will it work on Hutts, droid sensors, Epicanthix, and Force Users. (specifically Force Users who are either aware of the telepathic effect, or more powerful in telepathy than 355)
- Vision - 355 is only capable of seeing in the infrared spectrum, which is very useful on cold worlds, and with an innate Force Sight similar to that of Miralukas
- Mental Acuity - As with most Arkanians, 355 possesses an above average intelligence.
- Force Eater - While Stennes Shifters are capable of absorbing expended Force energy, 355 can also feed off of Force Energy in living beings, sucking it right from the midichlorians. It is relatable to the Force Drain ability, but he is not able to drain the life away from people unless there is direct physical contact that is sustained for five minutes. The range of this ability is estimated to be ten meters. Every living organism has at least some midichlorians, thus 355 is almost always able to feed off the Force. If he were using the Force, depending on how much enery he fed off of, he would be augmented in his abilities to use the Force. For instance, instead of being able to lift a hand-sized rock, he would be able to lift a human-sized rock. Other Force Sensitives who become aware of his Force Eating can resist it, though they cannot resist the absorption of expended energy. It does not enhance his physical abilities.
- Rapid Healing Factor - He has the ability to heal rapidly from wounds, healing in minutes and hours instead of days. For instance, he could heal from a blaster wound to the torso that hit non-vital organs in thirty minutes. If it did hit a vital organ that would be considered a grievous wound. However, healing is not regeneration. When healing from particularly grievous wounds, 355 enters a comatose-like state and he both feels and looks dead. Thus, he cannot heal from grievous wounds in the middle of battle. A shot to the heart or brain will still kill him.
- Pinnacle Athleticism - Genes selected for the purpose give 355 a mesomorphic body type suited for rapidly gaining and sustaining muscle fiber. The fast and slow twitch muscle fibers have been distributed through his body to give him the speed, strength, and reflexes of a premier human athlete.
- Weaknesses:
- Vision - As he is only capable of seeing in infrared and in the Force, 355 is easily susceptible to harsh lights that can range from blinding him for a few minutes to blinding him for days. If he were to step out into the Tatooine sands during a particularly hot day, for instance, and stare up into the sun he would be blinded for the rest of that day. If a flashbang grenade went off in front of him he would be blind for several days.
- Sterile - An amalgamation of various entities spliced into a single being and grown in a tube, 355 is unable to reproduce.
- Cell Degeneration - One of the defects of the genetic engineering is constant cell degeneration at a much faster rate than usual for average humanoids. Ordinarily, this would drastically reduce his longevity, but by feeding off of the Force he can counteract this weakness. However, if subjected to ixetal cilona, yslamari fields, or simply cut off from the Force, 355 will be unable to counteract the cell degeneration and die in a week or less.
- Disease - 355 is highly susceptible to any diseases plaguing the Miraluka, Stennes, Arkanian, and Firrerreon species. As he was grown in a tube his immune system has been unable to develop resistances to many types of bacteria and viruses. The common cold could indeed be dangerous to 355. In addition, if/when he ever does catch a disease he will have to be treated by specialists. No simple hospital will suffice as the wrong medication and treatment could easily kill him.
- Daily Intake - In order to sustain himself, 355 must eat enough to feed 3 people. Daily. If he is unable to properly feed himself the proper amount of vitamins, calories, and water he will quickly experience debilitating weakness as his body loses muscle mass. On planets with low amounts of oxygen he will experience severe shortness of breath and asthma effects.
- Bacta Allergy - 355 is severely allergic to bacta, which itself is a bacteria that helps the healing process. Unfortunately, in 355's case it will cause swelling in the throat that can suffocate and kill him.
- Heat Exhaustion - Created mainly from Arkanians, much of the baseline genes remain. Arkanians live in cold habitats, thus a planet where there is extreme heat, such as Korriban, is capable of easily inducing heat exhaustion in 355 and even killing if he does not stay hydrated. Thus, if he is to be on such a planet for any length of time he must be with a source of hydration at all times.
- Aggressiveness - The scientists who created 355 intended for him to be the genetic blueprint an Arkanian warrior subspecies. As such, they focused on activating genes that increased aggressiveness. However, they also completely shut off the genes that enable compassion. Thus, 355 is hyper-aggressive and tends to react violently to 'fix' situations he deems to be illogical.
- Distinctions: Appears similar to baseline Arkanians save for ashen skin and red eyes.
- Average Lifespan: 100+
- Races: None, only a singular entity was ever created.
- Diet: The Force, Omnivorous. Anything a human can eat, he can eat too. However, he is more likely to catch diseases from naturally grown foods.
- Communication: Speech
- Culture: As 355 is a singular entity it is impossible to say what type of culture would result from a gathering of such beings. No doubt they would end up consuming each other.
- Technology level: Experiment #355 is capable of using technology, but has never received education on how to operate the most basic of systems, let alone a starship's hyperdrive. Indeed, he is lacking in education of all kinds ranging from history to basic math and has the knowledge of a child. However, his innate intelligence will no doubt help him learn quickly.
- General behavior: Genetically engineered to be devoid of compassion, Experiment #355 is confused as to his purpose and destiny in life. He believes himself to be the evolutionary superior of non-force users and views them as being inconsequential. If he were to come across a Vong he would think them an abomination. He has an even lower regard for droids and a low threshold for violence toward both.
History: 900 years ago, Dr. Arcus, owner of Duvain Labs, was an Arkanian scientist who dreamed of creating a warrior subspecies for the Arkanians, in the same way as his forebears created the Offshoots as a slave caste. He got permission from the Arkanian government and funding to pursue this course. He hired bounty hunters and private military corporations to acquire DNA from Stennes Shifters, Firrerreons, and Miralukas. His team then moved to the isolated labs on Alzoc III and for two months mapped the genomes of all three species, managing to isolate the genes that provided them with their unique abilities.
After mapping the genomes, they used Spaarti Cylinders obtained from Kimono to attempt to artificially create a life form that retained the traits of all four species. Their first fifty attempts proved disastrous and the government, after learning about the methods used in the acquiring of the DNA samples and put off by Dr. Arcus' megalomania, pulled funding for the project.
A year later, Dr. Arcus returned with a shadowy new sponsor and the project resumed. Difficulties were overcome and by the 355th attempt the scientists had produced a viable life form that managed to survive on its own. Delighted with the result, Arcus immediately sent for the sponsor. However, while the backer was enroute, tests showed that there were a great many defects in Experiment 355. Dr. Arcus believed that in time he could fix it. However, before anything else could occur tragedy struck.
355 had obtained a level of comprehension that the scientists did not predict. The experiment lashed out at the creators who cared nothing for it, using all of his formidable abilities to decimate the laboratory and kill every last one of its creators.
The sponsor arrived to the blood-stained laboratory and discovered that the experiment had fled into Alzoc III's frozen wastes. It turned out that the sponsor of Duvain Labs was in fact Arkanian military general Setesh, who sought to utilize this experiment as a weapon. Setesh hunted down 355 and managed to convince him that they would be partners in a new reign. He returned 355 to the laboratories and retrofitted the labs into a military training ground where the experiment underwent extensive combat training. However, 355 soon discovered that Setesh did not plan to share power with anyone. When he confronted the general with this information Setesh had 355 tranquilized and frozen in carbonite until a second group of scientists could arrive and fix the genetics that made 355 so resistant to commands.
Before this could happen, however, the Arkanians were embroiled in a war that sucked all their resources. General Setesh was killed and the project was long forgotten. Experiment 355 remained in carbonite sleep on Alzoc III, feeding off of a box of force sensitive crystals inside the facility.
