A weapon designed to turn aside the myriad attacks of force users the generator blade is far from the most deadly form of armament in the galaxy. Despite this the added defense of the energy shield allows it to stand up to weapons that would normally wreck a standard sword. Due to the rather simple nature of its construction Verul simply asked one of old friends who studied engineering to create the blade for him.

- The generator blade is by most accounts a rather average sword with one defining feature. It has an Arkanian shield generator integrated into its construction. This allows it to double as a defensive device taking advantage of the Arkanian shields broad defensive capabilities to protect its user.
- Inbuild shield - As mentioned above the blade has a shield generator integrated into its construction. Verul has used a personal energy shield native to his home planet Arkania. This gives it a wide array of protection allowing the deflection of electrical, kinetic, cold, heat, and sonic damage. Due to limited battery life this is not a constant effect but rather activated through two triggers that are placed in the hilt. The first of these triggers causes the shield to surround the immediate weapon allowing the blade to deflect the assault of a more high tech weapon such as a vibroblade or lightsaber which under normal circumstances would utterly wreck a sword. The second trigger has the blade project a large shield of force out half a foot in front of the blade. This energy shield is roughly 8 feet in height and 4 feet wide. This can be used as a more total defense.
- Unwieldy - There is a trade off for superior protection, notably the loss of grace that comes with a bulky weapon. Vibroblades and lightsabers are simply superior when it comes to offering maneuverability and allow for much more consistent and flowing combat.
