  • Arius Carver is the first son of Vernon and Essana Carver. Growing up with his parents in the Coruscant Underworld was anything but pleasant. Arius's parents often disappeared for extended periods of time leaving the child in a sink or swim situation to fend for himself. Crime and poverty were rampant and opportunity for a better life seemed non-existent until one day that changed.

Meeting Ronor Jakar happened by luck of the draw. Arius never understood why Ronor, the leader of the successful Spectre Mercenary Company, hired a child of all people. Unfortunately, he never did learn the reasoning behind the act of generosity.

The Spectre Mercs never offered Arius special treatment. Earning respect required dedication and merit determined rank. Arius spent years crawling his way to the top until finding himself second only to Ronor Jakar.

Life continued to hurl new obstacles at Arius when his parents gave birth to twins. Knowing his parents lifestyle, Rhox and Jaina Carver became the new responsibility of the young merc determined to give his younger siblings a better life than his own.

On a day like any other, Arius saw his parents leaving on their usual venture. That is the last time he ever saw them. The mystery lingered in his mind about the possibilities though not once did he ever feel distraught at the loss. He could provide for his siblings and that is what he continued to do.

Arius's spree of luck ran out during a setup by a rival merc company intent on taking out the competition. The mercs killed Ronor Jakar and many other Spectres in an ambush. Any of the injuries Arius sustained could have been his last, but he survived, paralyzed and ruined. With no other clear successor to the Spectres, the surviving members opted to funnel funds into saving Arius despite no guarantee of success. Against all odds and many cybernetic augmentations later, Arius pulled through the medical operation. The outcome left the Spectres broke and few in numbers.

Recovery took time, but Arius meant business. He stood back on his feet sooner than anyone predicted ready for his revenge. In due time, he hunted down the rival mercenary leaders. Bystanders who witnessed the display of brutality were few. With good reason, none were willing to risk aiding the authorities during the investigation. But the tale of the Butcher of Coruscant spread like wildfire.

After the tragic event, Arius willingly remained the new Commander of the Spectre Mercenary Company. With a single cruiser, a handful of mercs, and two siblings soon to enter adulthood, life proved uncertain. No one ever said this job would be easy. But, embracing challenge is no stranger to Arius.

  • Distinguishing Features:
Glowing Red Eyes and Facial Scars

    Character Strengths:
    • Natural Leader - Carver has a unique method of inspiring followers. Many find themselves following his orders without question.
    • Weapons Expert/Sharpshooter - Who needs a fancy lightsaber or the force when you have a reliable blaster at your side. In this case, a grenade launcher.
    • Cybernetic Enhancements - A human body improved to excel in combat situations and surpass normal physical feats.

    Character Weaknesses:
    • Nightmares - Past medical trauma keeps Carver from sleeping comfortably most nights. While he survived, his mental scars from the experience may never truly heal.
    • Lonely - Focusing on the job to protect and provide for his younger siblings means no time for friends or down-time.
Months on the job with nobody to talk to takes a toll after countless years.
    • Terrifying Appearance - Asking for directions is a luxury of the past. Unless someone needs a job done, they tend to avoid Carver.
    • Impatient - Being late is unacceptable. Carver is quick to let his aggravation known through rude comments when kept waiting.

    • Positive
      • Confident - Gaining a following starts by acting like the best in the line of work whether true or not. This comes natural to Carver.
      • Determined - A plan set in motion is meant to be completed. If a job needs to be done, rest assured, it will be done.
      • Resourceful - Living on the streets makes you appreciate the little things. Carver will find value where others see junk.
    • Neutral
      • Pragmatic - Whatever the situation, Carver will choose the most logical course of action beneficial to his own idea of a greater good. Blind emotion has little sway on his decisions.
      • Intimidating - Being able to frighten competition into the shadows or run off hostile encounters proves useful for preventing conflict. Unfortunately, this also scares off possible friends.
      • Ruthless - When a fight needs to be won, all options are on the table. Collateral damage may be necessary. Law enforcement probably doesn't like the sound of that.
    • Negative
      • Violent - Brutality to enemies is extreme. So much so, that potential allies may distance themselves if not outright see Carver as a villain.
      • Overconfident - Surviving against all odds makes one feel invincible. Even if a job is over Carver's head, he is probably going to try it anyway.
      • Suspicious - Betrayal for quick credits is too common to not be cautious around a band of mercs. Trust is earned, not given.
