Aripine 'Ari' Sartha is a Padawan of the New Jedi Order.
Born to a lawyer and corporate executive on Chandrila, Aripine had a comfortable and unremarkable upbringing. She attained decent grades at school, most astonishingly in mathematics.
Two events changed Ari's life: the election of her mother as the senator for Chandrila and the discovery of her Force sensitivity. The campaign put pressure on Ari's relationship with her mother, whilst the allure of the New Jedi Order pulled her away with the promise of independence, adventure and maybe possibly helping some people. After some scorching rows with Mela, Ari joined the Order and began her training as a Jedi.
Brash, clever and playful, Ari has the potential to go far, wrapped up in the impetuousness and rebelliousness of a teenager. She's keen to make something of herself seperate from the rest of her family whilst trying to help others. She is well-known for being unable to mask her feelings or think before she speaks.
Aripine despises her full name and insists on being called Ari.
It's pronounced 'ah-ri-peh-nee'.
