Description: With recovery of Gados culture by HK came recovery of their traditional clothing articles, including leather head coverings which HK could have sold as Guild of Hammer products to citizens and both provide additional protection for them as raise more funds. These hats came in three distinct recognized types,

First were the Somb'rae'ro, a wide-brim hat, traditionally made from woven dried reeds and grasses, is mostly associated with the farmers on the surface of Abregado-Rae. The wide brim is able to protect the Gados from rays of sun, or the rain, while working the fields. While the hats from reeds are rather cheap and easy to make, they also provide little to no protection, that's why the leather-versions of the hats were also developed, first used by hunters, later were adopted by more wealthy farmers and eventually make their way into a part of a folklore musician's outfit, or anyone trying to identify themselves as part of the working caste of Abregado.

Then the Fed'rae were developed, first used by the city-living Gados, the shorter brim of the hats made them easier for use in tighter quarters, like urban houses, while still granting some protection from weather conditions like sunrays or rain, while strolling the city streets. Eventually, these hats were adopted by adventurers on Abregado-Rae, both amateur and professional, city-folk who got bored with urban lifestyle and decided to seek thrill in the wilderness that stretched outside the boarders of their canal-towns. Due to this history these hats became a classic image of an adventurer, often used together with the Whips of Rae in current times.

Finally the Leovi Plume hats were made as the Abregado's cities begun developing their own armies. These hats were worn by both professional soldiers as well as mercenaries, the wide brim offered protection from elements, much like in the case of Somb'rae'ro, while one side was folded to make carrying a long-barrel firearm or a polearm like a pike on the shoulder easier while marching. As such, these hats were adopted mostly by mercenaries, soldiers, militias, or bounty hunters originating on Abregado-Rae, a symbol of their martial status, although they are worn most often when off-duty, as an actual helmet is more preferred during combat. This hat takes its name from the plumes of Leovi, large feathers from equally large avian-feline creatures on Abregado-Rae, these feathers were used initially to make soldiers easier to find on the battlefield and tell apart in which army they serve, nowadays these are used mostly as aesthetic detail.

As mentioned before, the cheapest and easiest material to make these hats from are woven dried reeds and grasses, however, these offer little to no protection against both physical and energy damage, and they are mostly sold as gifts to tourists. Then there's the soft Leovi Leather, while it can cushion some physical blows, especially blunt damage, it does little against firearms or blasters, as well as professional melee weapons. Next in terms of quality is the tougher Magru Leather, these can withstand a couple of shots and good blows before breaking, and after that is the hardened Nocur Leather and Armor Mesh, both of these equal in terms of quality and they can withstand up to 5 shots to the head-wear, while making the hat much pricier and heavier than its softer counter-parts.

Although Leovi feathers were initially used only with the Leovi-Plume Hats, they can be used with all of them, and often are, as well as other decorative trinkets, including bells or glitter, or even fresh flowers, no judging.
