"Sure, no real security though the room might be occupied so no incidents." She said it while looking but didn't expect anything to really happen. A bow of her head while she moved down the hall and paused only long enough to go up into the floor above... and then higher. her voice coming on the force. "Just ask the computer to locate me should you need anything." She said it and phased up and up and up as she entered the one room and stood there. No one else around but the central area that she drifted to. Hanae laying there fussing a little from her nap as the master picked the little one up with a smile.

"The stars above, so fair and deep, I will watch you as you sleep. Your restless eyes, your dreaming heart, I've loved you from the very start." Her voice came out and carried as the jedi master cradled her close. Moving on the air almost a cushion of force energy around her. "Be at peace, my child, my own, Sisters will make the nightmares cease. The Force accepts you as its own, The sweetest child ever known." She looked over and there were in the nursury pictures of her and Hanna's daughters, the ten of them throughout the various years. "My little Jedi, hear our song, You won't be a child for very long. If you must leave us all someday, Know that we will be there to light your way."

She continued to sing with a smile where she moved. Her family had grown as the pictures showed most of them fully grown... only three were still small but her granddaughter was there. Allie smiled holding her in the image while Hanna smiled next to her in the medical area with Hanae... kind of odd but also one of the best moments as they had been part of. Matsu still holding her as she levitated higher and higher into the air of the nursery with the vaulted ceilings reflecting dozens of different night skies from the various jedi worlds that they had temples on. The night cycle showing through.

Mykel gave her a respectful bow before departing with his astromech, keeping in mind the directions for finding her again.

He found every corner of the renovated dorms steeped in familiarity but also alive with new voices. Younglings hurried past in packs, while knights lingered in doorways discussing lessons or training schedules. The sights and sounds bled into Mykel's recollections, each moment replaying like a perfect flashback to Kashyyyk.

At last he reached his old quarters. For a moment he simply stood there, running a hand across the smooth surface of the wall. Unfortunately he felt the room occupied as the Grandmaster had warned, so there may no be interior visit today. Bummer. Still, on the small off chance, he gave the ringer a buzz anyway.

Several moments passed before the door slid open. He came face to face with a tall young woman who looked to be about his age, strawberry blonde hair falling loosely over her shoulders. Her brow lifted as she took in the stranger, his black armored hardsuit an unusual sight in the dorms. By contrast, she wore elegant shimmering tunics of powdered blue befitting the style of her peers.

"Can I help you?" she asked, tone polite but laced with curiosity.

He offered a small bow before speaking. "Forgive me. This...used to be my room. I didn't mean to intrude. The Grandmaster said I might check if was still open for inspection."

"Oh really?" Surprise flickered in her green eyes. "But I don't recognize you."

"I'm not surprised, as a Youngling I lived here before the Silver Rest was relocated from Kashyyyk. A portion of us remained there or moved to the Silver Jedi's outpost on Coruscul."

Her held tilted, intrigued. "I see I see...uh did you fly here by the way? You're wearing a flightsuit. Usually people arrive by the gates these days."

He nodded. "Unfortunately the Coruscul enclave lacked access to your teleportation network. Even if we did, it would have been scuttled to avoid seizure by the Galactic Empire."

"Oh that's right," she said, placing her fingers to her lips in small gasp. "I'm sorry for your loss. We've see quite the churn of refugees as of late between the Sith Empire and the new Galactic Empire. Well, all the same, it's impressive that you flew here manually. It's certainly not a trip I would attempt, especially with all the collapsing starlanes."

Mykel chuckled, combing gloved fingers through his hair. "It was a challenge to be sure, but I like to think I came out of it a better pilot. So not a wasted exercise."

She smiled, her expression caught between awe and mischief. "Well then you're braver than most, or just a little nutty. I'm Caelia, by the way."

"Mykel Dawson, and I could very well be both."

Giggling, she stepped back, gesturing to her room with a small flourish.

She stayed with the child for a time, moving in the air and dancing until Hanae fell back asleep. A look of contentment on the small babies face when she went back into the cushioned bed. It contoured to her little body and she couldn't hurt herself which allowed the jedi grandmaaster and Hanna when she came to not worry as much. Developing more as she moved through the wall and into the outer chamber with a small smile on her face. The biot assigned could enter and knew the secret but the aterno didn't let anyone in or near the daughter of the grandmaster... let alone when there was more in there like her granddaughter.

She moved through the halls of the rest with a hum as several more jedi came around and more greeted her. Some of the rooms were filled with padawans as they were being trained to use the force, others with a saber and martial arts. The skills on display something she wanted them to learn as well as the educational needs... there were jedi partaking in social engagements like parties to become comfortable, scenarios being run for teaching awareness in chaotic environments and battle fields. Others were in chaotic clubs and engagements where it was considered less risk of blasters but they needed to be able to interact with people and observe amid distractions.

She moved through and there was always more going on in the Silver Rest. Venturing into the younglings area as Jade and Momoya were there, the two were standing in the classroom as their black hair contrasted with their paler skin but they were dressed in the robes with the small symbol for the grandmaster. A sign of her family in case there was a danger or a problem they would be abel to alert herr. She stopped at the door and watched while they were training with the master in the room using the smaller sticks in katas to go faster and faster. She smiled remaining slippery in the force so she didn't disturb the class just letting herself observe for the moment.

Inside the room, he found the basic structure intact and recognizable, but course there were changes with some renovations of the fixtures as well as the personal adornments of its current occupant Caelia. There hanging pink chime crystals and sweet perfumed incense wafting through the room, and even a few inspirational posters made from e-paper. Yep, a girl definitely lives here now.

"Feeling the nostalgia?" She asked as she plopped on her bed.

"Heh, oh yeah," He said as he grazed the inbuilt desk with a fingertip. Even as a youngling, the technopath had spent countless hours at this very desk as an impromptu workbench, assembling all sorts of gizmos (as well as disassembling tech to the chagrin of his parents and instructors).

He smirked as he inspected his finger, finding a few specks of lint. "Could use a little dusting in here."

Caelia feigned a groan, sinking into her pillow. "Ugh, I know you're joking but please. The hall prefect is always up our butts about cleaning."

"A clean room promotes a crystal mind,"
she intoned with a deep voice to mimic the prefect. "Clutter robs you of enlightenment."

"He must have been best friends with my mom, because she basically said the same thing at the enclave."

They both burst out laughing over a shared experience. Even Puck let out a whistle of amusement.

So some things hadn't changed.

He spent some time speaking more with Caelia, learning a little more about her and the wider happenings of the Silver Rest in the process. She had been with the Silver Jedi since a toddler, hailing from one of the former Concord worlds like he had, though her parents hadn't been Force sensitive. Instead, that had sent her to train with the familiar Silver Jedi as she first displayed telekinetic abilities, preferring their non-aggressive stance over some contemporaries. She still saw her family on the regular, but the Silver Rest had become her new home as she trained in the Jedi Arts. She looked forward to being a Jedi Knight like him and helping the galaxy below.

On one hand, he applauded her decision, but on the other hand, he hated the idea of such a sweet girl being exposed to the chaos now unfolding. They had a good thing here above.

Eventually, their conversation came to an end as Caelia was due for an assignment elsewhere. Mykel found it appropriate at this point to find the Grandmaster again so they split. However, he promised to find her again after he finished his touring.

Recalling previous instructions, he used the complex's in house network to find the Grandmaster standing outside of a classroom.

"Hello again," he whispered as he bowed again, careful not to be too loud so as to not disturb the class. "What are they learning?"

"They are learning saber movements, the katas will help train the body and mind but it will only be the base for learning how to incorporate the skills needed." She said it while looking at him with a small smile on her face. "I hope everythign went well." Her movements were simple but she went from the doorway through the temples areas. More rooms showing training sessions as well as study. Holograms displaying varrious aspects the jedi were being set to learn as well as history for various groups. Lectures from force orders aligned with the fundamentals of the lightside. Matsu showed it all.

"We have changed a few other things, as much as Iella, Coci, Thurion, Sorel hold my respect. They were also content with the jedi being just the jedi, rarely advancing the teaching just more holding to them." She shrugged. "It made jedi going between orders much eaasier, once one faced resistance or felt neglected they could just spend time with another enclave or group but also took away aside from name a level of uniqueness." She said it more in contemplation then anything else as it worked for the time but it also fostered no real people staying with them because they were silvers.

"I'll neverr denigrate them though they did provide motivation and more charisma, the order got larger." She muilled it over for a moment though entering another chamber as holograms from more jedi were conversing in meeting. SOme were displaying information about the different worlds. "But we have been able to recall several jedi masterrs from missions throughout the galaxy to aid. Or have ones sent to establish newer means. Like the economic watch circles temple for managing the funds of our order as well as various orders."

Mykel nodded with a smile. "Everything went great. I did find my old room occupied, but the current resident was gracious enough to let me inside for a time."

Matsu continued, showing him snippets of various programs as she allowed him to peak inside the classrooms. The topics were varied and quite expansive above the usual fare he had observed at other temples beside his own enclave, which itself was an offshoot of the Silver Rest.

"Many of the Jedi I have encountered in the galaxy outside of my enclave are quite entrenched in their dogma," he reflected aloud. "It leads them to become inflexible and now we see a thousand different splinter groups seething against each other as they claim they are the 'best' path. The New Jedi Order has become hollowed out as result."

How many of them were left at the NJO? At this point, he imagined minor enclaves were larger. There were no masters, no council, no guidance. Just a precious few knights trying to hold everything together.

The Grandmaster showed him other aspects of the Silver Rest, providing a rough overview of their financial situation. As they weren't beholden to the idea that Jedi had to be destitute, they could provide for themselves and advance their mission without being indebted to others.

"I feel as though the Sith have pretty much cornered every aspect of the financial world. Either directly - in the case of the Sith Emperor and the IGBC - or indirectly through influence with like minded bankers. They wield economics like a blade, and the Jedi thus far have no answer in this aspect. I would like to change that."

He hadn't necessarily come for new instruction, but as he toured with the Grandmaster over the impressive setup, he was fast coming to the conclusion that he needed some to become a better Jedi for the Alliance.

"They have, there is a danger to it but credits are needed. Even if everything was utopic people would want things... they would want a way to get things and that value would make others have more. It might not be perfect but we use the economic watch circle and an advanced AI to be able to compete and protect ourselves." She said it as she tapped different worlds to show a number of their various temples. "The otherr aspect is on worlds where there are no major governments the people are happy to see the jedi. A thousand worlds will always welcome us to the few that will not and it inspires or makes the locals on the world happy. We'll let the other worlds as they want to control the popular worlds as it were." She had a smile before finally finding a seat where she could be but offered another as it formed from the materrria with a smile. "It is good you were able to find your old place, I know much has changed but we welcome and offerr everything we have forr anyone who serves the light."

As Mykel was about to respond about the nature of the Silver Jedi's ongoing mission in the galaxy, he paused mid thought as he observed a construct materializing into the form of a chair. The technopath's eyes widened in surprise, noting the currents of instruction manipulating molecules into new structures. Nanomachines? Smart matter?

He was both awestruck and giddy as he took a seat on the chair. Firm as any normal solid. Impressive.

"Thank you, Grandmaster, but I'm sorry I must ask? What is this?," he interrupted, gesturing below.

"It is called materia, a little more sturdy then nanites and able to be produced to allow a lot more options. Specifically it can program the matterr around it through conversion for food production. Allowing us to have self replenishing food stores in the temples and on ships.... other variants of it are great for construction and when combined with the temples AI it allows the rooms and hallways to be shifted... for defensive purposes. The same is in ships as there will be another layer of defensive measures in place for invading forces." She said it while sitting there and allowing him a moment. "We have worked to develop it and discovered the means to make it while experimenting with advancing techniques in the force like art of the small or even battle meditation."

The Grandmaster informed him of the exotic substance as "materia". By her description, its function trended closer to reprogrammable smart matter, which could be seen as a tier above self-replicating nanomachines.

The technopath waved his hand over side of his chair, momentarily focusing his mind on the interactions happening under the surface. Seemingly inert as a real solid object, but absolutely bustling with energy, ready for the next permutation on command.

"I'm not sure if I have the time to fully devote myself here because of the war, but between rotations, I would be remiss if I did not receive your instruction if possible. There seems to have been a great many advances within the Silver Rest since Kashyyyk, and I'm eager to catch up."

She gave a bow of her head. "We make no demands of time, those who want to come here or to any of our other temples for instruction are always welcomed... except to the Riyoka temple... that one is used to store celestial grade weapons we have managed to collect and secure away from others in the galaxy. It is the only one in the charts considered restricted and the defenses are made to keep things protected." She said it and the celestial temple was important enough to defend. "But other then that we welcome at anyone and the arisen are a hive mind so you can make a request at anyone and they will be able to contact me or any of the silver jedi's master trainers."

"Well, of course I must demand access to the Riyoka temple at once." His tone seemed serious, but then he couldn't help but break out into a smirk. A joke about the curious padawan always hungry for the most forbidden teachings. By now, Mykel knew better than to be meddling with reality breaking weapons of the gods.

"I understand," he said with a more sober expression. "Anything that you're willing to offer, I am willing to learn."

He bowed once more, excited to be learning again.

"Where may I begin, Grandmaster?"

She gave him a small laugh with that... rushing to the temple would be something to see. "Well if you must." Then he was looking and ready to be taught which she thought about it with a nod of her head. "Hmm best place to begin is at the beginning. Breathing to learn how to connect and generate the force within you. It is one of the first things to use to circulate the force within the body allowing the padawans we train to be able to augment their bodies and minds." She said it and it was also the first steps she had set up for the training of the silver jedi. A means to make them different as they didn't stop... this was a test and move of endurance as padawans were being taught to use it on a near permanent basis.

"Oh no no, I'm good. I'm not quite ready to be one with the Force just yet."

In beginning of his new training regime at the Silver Rest, the Grandmaster instructed him to start with the basics. As a padawan, he may have lamented the remedial exercise, but as a knight he understood the importance of a good foundation. Over time, people could lose their way and form bad habits. It never hurt to tighten up.

"I'm ready to begin...but just one question. May I have a change of clothes?"

He could train in his spacesuit, but it wasn't the most comfortable thing, and it was starting to get a little whiffy after hours enclosed within his fighter.

She gave him a nod of her head. "Of course." Her hand came out and flicked at the wrist for a moment. The hardlight activating with a look at it while she brought up the distribution system they had developed. "ANother thing we have developed, it allows far-casting equipment anywhere in the rest one might need. To save time and movement to the quartermaster." She said it while pulling up the dozens of different robes that were on offer. "Depending on what kind of path you wanted to take within the order we have a robe for that, depending on where you think you might belong we have made equipment for that."

Mykel blinked. The Silver Rest was extremely advanced, not only allowing instant transit between locations, but featured sort of localized teleportation system for objects. At this point it felt like magic, most of these technologies having been relegated to concepts and theories in the big galaxy below. There was so much he could learn here not in just the matters of the force, but academically as well.

"Well, I currently take on the Consular's path from my previous master, but I never really anything defined when I was initially trained at my enclave."

Unlike many Consulars, he was adept with a blade and didn't mind frontline action, but he saw the value in conflict resolution and the power of the mind, both literally and figuratively.

"I suppose I'll stick with with the Consular's tract for now and see where that takes me."

He took a moment to look through the robes the grandmaster cycled through before them. "Which do you believe is the most fitting for me?"

"Ah interesting." She said it and tapped an icon on the screen as a small emblem came to her hand. The jedi grandmaster holding it with a small look of interest but she held it up and movedher fingers to get a small thread of weaved and solid force energy around it as she held it out. "The silver lights as something we haave for the paadawans. A small token to some and for others well." She said it and tapped it as she was holding it and the robes appeared. Then tapped it again. "The robes use the materia and replicate themselves allowing the robes to form and return to their original place so one can wear them as needed. Makes going undercover or into situations where you don't want to reveal yourself easier."

At first glance, the robes appeared to be of a typical fabric construction, but like the chairs they buzzed with technology and the Force. Moreover, the robes themselves could be hidden and teleported during clandestine operations. They functioned much more like an amorphous tech jacket.

For a moment, he considered one or the other. However, in the end, he really couldn't choose, so he just took both.

"My apologies," he said with a bow, "I'd like to try out both of these sets and see which one fits me best. Would that be alright?"

"Of course, we have plenty." She offered it with a smile as a small tap retracted it into the emblem. "The design is simple enough and it will repair itself over time which is helpful. We have been looking for better ways to improve upon different aspects of our robes... but few other orders use the design or methods so we aare largely comparing with ourselves. Normally another order would be working on things as well." She said it and it wasn't pride it waas more fact, she had seen a lot of the other orders equipment and they were rougher for certain it was strange as they wanted the reserved styling less as design choice and more to struggle.

He accepted both sets of robes, simply draping them over his arm as he yet lacked the faintest clue how to interreact the Silver Rest's inventory platform.

The Grandmaster brought up a salient point, how many Jedi preferred to do with less.

"I don't really understand it myself," he admitted. "Many Jedi prefer to be aloof in a more...bohemian manner while the Sith continue to entrench themselves in all aspects of galactic society. There's scarcely a financial institution or a political body untouched by their corruption. It is a shame that the Concord dissolved, even if it was under quieter circumstances"
