- Modular: This armor can have its weapons and gear traded out pretty easily between encounters to prepare for each and every offensive.
- Highly agile: This armor is designed to let Ardgal move with minimal impediment in the heat of combat.
- Implant interface: Unlike the prior models, this armor is designed to interface directly with Ardgal's cyborg implants in a more helpful way. These implants are designed to feed intel directly into his mind through the cyborg implant that makes up most of his mind. The armor is designed to connect to his spinal cord as well, offering increased reaction time, and amplifying his strength and speed through the power armor to the fifth power.
- Pistols: Most armors really have just two or so pistol slots. The Ardgal'gam Mk 2 has four different pistol slots since Ardgal has produced quite a few of them--and pretty much loves them all.
- Conflicting Functions: The camouflage functions or the shield function can only be active one at a time. It takes several seconds to adjust for one to the other.
- Limited Ammunition: The weapons on the armor are not the easiest to reload and some of them are one and done weapons (Missiles, Dart Launcher), while the others are simply difficult to reload, and impossible to do without a respite.
- Gaps: There are several massive gaps in the armor where the plates do not overlap to offer maximum mobility for Ardgal. Some of them are pretty large too. For instance pretty much all of Ardgal's legs are unprotected by plates, the shoulders have large gaps, as do the biceps and the back. These spots are really protected by the underlay armor, rather than the beskar plates.

Ardgal's prior set of armor was based on one idea: weaponizing his armor the maximum capacity and providing a virtually indestructible wall of protection. But there were downfalls, glaring ones; Ardgal could not wear it for extended periods, the helmet was prone to lead the wearer to bouts of mental and emotional insanity and intensive sensory overload, and so on.
But the Mark 2 of his armor was designed to adapt and produce a more versatile, useful set of armor--even at the cost of defense. First, the Ardgal'gam Mk 2 was intended for more extended field operations. The data matrix that caused overload and mental instability was re-worked in the second variety for a more stream-lined and stable approach. The user is able to rapidly sellect what data they desire and filter out "static" information. In addition, the matrix was made into a more "user friendly" way to give Ardgal a more natural feel to the data given instead of feeling like a machine was giving the intel to him.
The previous set of armor took a prohibitively long time to don, and help to do that. Obviously in the spur-of-the-moment or any field that requires more dente in the user's ability to be ready for combat would make this armor pretty pointless, so the Mark 2 gives Ardgal a better don-time--at the cost of protection. The First generation of Ardgal's armor was pretty difficult to transport due to the weight involved, this set of armor fixes that problem.
Lastly, The Mark 2 Variant of Ardgal's armor comes with a lot more gadgets and gizmos. This variant comes with a wide array of tools Ardgal may need in the field, ranging from data slicing and security by-passing chips to grapple hooks and rappel lines. This armor is not just designed to survive a firefight and mow down enemies but to dominate the field through situational analysis and available tools.
All in all, its just a versatile armor unit for Ardgal.
