DESCRIPTION
Arcadia Pharmaceuticals is a large concern in the medical field. They focus primarily on the creation of substances that enhance, increase and expand on sentient capabilities. With the burning of Thyferra they have increased their budgets in the healing agent fields, creating half a dozen cheaper alternatives at the cost of effectivity.
Their main administrative and research facilities are located on Nar Shaddaa. Primarily because of its lack of any government insight. They source their materials from Felucia and Belsavis, which are known for exotic matter.
Any additional support comes from backup labs on Arkania and Taris. Etti IV mainly serves as a business hub. This allows them certain tax benefits, while operating in Sith space.
Of course, in reality Arcadia Pharmaceuticals is a front company for something entirely… different. With no official name attached to it, people refer to it as simply the Company. It's goals are strange, often erratic and conflicting, but it has ideals. Bring order to the Galaxy through any means necessary.
To do this it employs blackmail, assassination, combat support and more to get what they want.
RATIONALE
It all started with a single patent.
But the right sort of patent can bring in the right sort of money. It was something boring. An enzyme that could enhance the effectiveness of carbonite, but from there the profit began to roll in. More people were hired, more labs, while the patents stacked up. Until the off-the-book operations started. Such was the way with the Company. They began slow, started to ramp things up and then settled in.
There to stay.
Until they were ready for their next phase.
