Description: The Arc Shadow is a weapon based off of the ARC Caster weapon that the ARC troopers were known for using. This weapon draws energy from the powercell but instead of concentrating it into beams of energy it instead uses the electricity and builds it up on the rail in the center of the barrel where it holds the charged electricity. When released a large bolt of electricity will be shot out in either a arcing shot similar to the original Arc weapon the electricity would expand to hit multiple enemies in a short range where the electricity will arc between them. The downsides to this weapon is obviously how few shots you get while using it, and the extreme recoil it has. Arc modes recoil is extreme and has been known to throw off users aim by a huge amount if they aren’t used to the weapon, while concentrating the shots the recoil is stronger than most high caliber sniper rifles. Each shot does require at least a five second charge between shots. Finally do not expect to be stealthy with these things as when it fires it can be heard from a great distance.

The same has been done for the Shadow Arc as when switched from Arc mode the barrels with close in and instead focus the electricity into one beam that can be shot at long distances and hits with extreme force.

Effective Range: 1000 meters
The reason an Arc caster has such a low range and jumps from target to target like an "arc" is because it is using electricity. Electricity is, by nature, something which is naturally attracted to a great many things, and always goes down towards the ground. That being said, 1 kilometer is ridiculously large for any type of electrical charge to reach in a straight line, and I dare say is impossible. That effective range needs to go down to at least 50 meters. I'll also mention that the arc caster was close range not due to design but because of restraints mentioned above.

Natural lightning is a tricky thing that most people seem to not quite grasp. Unlike electricity that is generated through "work", lightning is an electrostatic discharge generated by friction between two opposing charges, meaning it always has a start and an end point that are connected through mutual attraction. This friction is the "rubbing" of electrons in air that creates such a large amount of heat that it literally creates a massive "bolt" of plasma between the two electrical charges, which creates the massive thing you know as lightning - surging incredible amounts of electricity through the effected area from the ground to the cloud above. An arc caster does not fire lightning bolts, it releases electricity in the same manner as stun guns do on a larger scale.

Which the only reason I used the word lightning is because I thought that would be the best way to explain it when it gets fired from the barrel. Mainly due to the appearance of the shot when it first leaves the barrel. But I can see where the confusion would come in, so edited.
