Araia’s yellow skin sets her out amongst the more common green and green-yellow skin of her fellow Mirialans. A short and at first glance delicate young woman, Araia tends to surprise others with the wiry strength she possesses. A scar runs along her left side, a souvenir left over from the encounter that killed her jedi master. - BIOGRAPHY:
Born around 882ABY on Mirial Araia was picked by the New Jedi Order as she showed signs of force ability from a very early age. As such Araia has no memory of her home planet or her birth parents only memories of being raised amongst the order. She was taken on by a Master Tavin around the age of eight her apprenticeship would not last long however as about six months into her apprenticeship her and Master Tavin would be sent to the Mawite world of Rhigar. They were sent to investigate rumors of a Mawite enclave still on world. Unfortunately for them the rumors proved to be true and they quickly found themselves caught up in an ambush during which she was injured by a Maw blade Master Tavin ordered her to flee back to the ship and attempted to hold off the Maw but fell in the attempt. Fleeing back to the ship through the snow fields of Rhigar with a bleeding wound on her side at a young age she was rescued by an unlikely source Mandalorian Sergeant Shakka Bralor saw the hurt young girl and came to her aid in spite of being on world for her own investigation. Shakka fought off the remaining ambushers and took Araia back to her ship and patched up her wounds. Together they recovered the body of Master Tavin. Araia, not knowing what else to do, asked Shakka if she could set the ship on pilot back to Republic space. Shakka agreed but made Araia an offer first she could come back to Kestri instead of returning to Republic space and become a mandalorian instead of returning with her master's body. After the loss of her master, Araia felt uncertain about returning to be a jedi and agreed with Shakka. They left the world and Araia would spend the next ten years with Shakka training to be a mandalorian warrior. - SHIP:
