• Location: The Aradakpan System, a minor, unclaimed star system with no habitable planets. It is in the Outer Rim, in the hex directly below Castilon.

• Accessibility: It is located rather far from Galactic civilization, and is guarded by droids, both externally and internally.
• Description: The Aradakpan Asteroid Mining Complex is the main source of the Glolmark Corporation’s mineral resources. It is a massive space station, which is located in the asteroid-dense Aradakpan System. The station itself is dominated by a large cavity, which can accommodate asteroids for processing into minerals. The station is entirely solar powered, generating electricity from the light of the three blue supergiant stars at the center of the system. While the station is full of droids, its organic population is fairly low, and confined to a relatively small section of the station which has life-support systems.

POINTS OF INTEREST

• Command Bridge: This is where the station is managed from. This room contains a holographic display table in the center, which is usually set to display whichever asteroid the station is currently processing. On the walls, it has numerous control panels which control various functions of the station.
• Hangar Bay: The station has a medium-sized hangar bay to accommodate its two squadrons of A-64 Space Superiority Starfighters, and any visiting spacecraft. Important cisitors to the station are fairly uncommon, but are greeted with proper ceremony when they do arrive.
• Asteroid Processing Chamber: This massive chamber accounts for a large portion of the station’s internal volume. It is designed to hold large asteroids, in order to process them into their component materials. This chamber is teeming with mining droids, automatic mineral sorting systems, and other systems designed to help convert one large asteroid into dozens of usable materials. This chamber does not have oxygen, so organics must wear a spacesuit in order to visit it.

SECURITY
High The station has two squadrons of A-64 Space Superiority Starfighters for external defense. It also has several Megamaser Turrets and Point Defense Laser Cannons built into the station itself, which can also be used to break large asteroids down into more manageable chunks with concentrated fire. The inside of the station is also patrolled by G-1 Security Droids, who will attack any intruders.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Aradakpan Asteroid Mining Complex represents a new step forward for the Glolmark Corporation. In contrast to the old days, where the corporation would inefficiently seize the mineral resources of its colony worlds, this space station represents a new method of obtaining the minerals crucial for the Glolmark Corporation’s industry. The station took approximately a year to actually build, during which time the Glolmark Corporation had to scale back some of its other expenditures in order to focus on finishing it. Now that it is up and running though, the Glolmark Corporation is starting to have success approaching their Golden Age during the 700s-800s ABY.
