I didn’t hear no bell…
Born illegitimately to her mother, Sam, and her boyfriend at the age of sixteen, Ara’s story already had a rocky start. Her father didn’t want the child and, despite wanting to raise the kid, Sam gave her away after a few months from a friend she knew in Underworld to save her from growing up in a gang like she did. It wasn’t a good childhood, but it was miles better than what her mother had to endure.
As she grew up, Ara helped her unofficial guardian, Joe Highsinger, to run his bar in the bowels of Underworld. It was rough for the kid and it robbed her from a happy childhood. But she had a warm bed and food everyday which was more than could be said for a lot of other kids her age. But her life took a turn when Sam came back to Underworld and
laid waste to her old gang in an attempt to kill her past sins and deeds. The rampage, unbeknownst to her, killed Joe’s flow of income which resulted in him being unable to take care of Ara. With little options, Ara bounced around a bit, looking for a place to stay, but all her options fell flat. With no other choice, she followed up with the stories Joe told her about her mother and eventually managed to track her down.
From there, all Ara could do was try to survive and find her way in the galaxy…
