Applause

Bryn was a fighter and was always looking for ways to improve herself and her form. She was born a human and then made into a cyborg right after she graduated high school. All her memories had been wiped and replaced, she was a warrior and assassin for the Sith. As such, she was able to come and go from the Coliseum as she wanted. Most of the time, she left as the victor in her spars.

A match was just wrapping up when she walked in. Her face and name were known. Some people moved out of her way and didn't want to challenge the woman that had beat them before. Others wanted nothing more than the chance to try and beat her up. Today, she didn't have an interest in fighting the peons here and wanted to watch what was going on.

So she took a seat near some other people watching the spars as they happened. Since the most recent one was over, they were chatting amongst each other. Looking around, she saw another sitting by himself. A person she had never seen before and she continued looking around. Feeling eyes on her, she looked back and he was looking at her.

Giving him a slight nod, she motioned that if he wanted to join her, he could.

Not long from the battlefield Dvasian just sat under the shade and spaced out as he watched the gladiators. Nothing much was happening right now, but the real games were about to begin. Enslaved warriors fighting to the death on the sands to the applause of the crowd. The Sith drank some whiskey from the bottle and tried to forget he was almost killed the other day. Now his eye was gone and it was all he could think about.

The Jedi responsible was dead, but Dvasian didn't feel much better. He heard some captured Jedi would be fighting today, maybe their deaths would cheer him up. The man was ordered to stay home until his wounds healed. Dvasian said he was fine, but his superiors disagreed so he had to take it easy. It still felt like he was on the battlefield as the memories of war plagued him.

As he sat there with a thousand yard stare on his face he was snapped out of it by someone gesturing to him. It was a human a woman, it looked like she wanted him to sit with her. She must've thought he was staring at her. This is awkward. He pointed at himself and mouthed, "Me?"

It seemed she did mean him so Dvasian grabbed his bottle of whiskey and stood up. "Eh, why not? Could use a drinking buddy.," he mumbled to himself. His lazy self didn't want to walk over so he just crouched a bit before force jumping next to the girl. He wasn't wearing his usual armor today, but comfortable black and red robes ( http://imgur.com/a/zRiKcTJ ) instead. He sat down again, putting his bottle on the seat between them.

"Um, hi. Sorry if it looked like I was staring. I was lost in thought and didn't realize. I'm Darth Dvasian. What's your name?" He said extending a friendly hand.

Now that he was so close Dvasian could see one of this woman's eyes was cybernetic, much like his own, but silver. He didn't feel the need to mention it though or his own eye unless she decided to bring it up.

Whether Bryn could use the Force or not was still unknown so she watched Dvasian with a bit jealousy buried inside. That emotion never touched her face or eyes. She listened to what he said and nodded.

"Then I am the one that disturbed you."

The thought of including she was sorry crossed her mind, but if she had said it, it would have meant nothing. Empty words and she decided not to say them. Her tone was polite and civil, maybe even held a touch of respect. There was no real emotion coming from her.

Accepting his hand to shake, she nodded when he gave his name.

"Bryn Celli Ddu, but just call me Bryn or Celli."

Her last name was sometimes difficult for others to pronounce so did not expect him to perform the feat. Letting go of his hand, she glanced at the ring to see if the next fight had started yet or not.

"I've never noticed you here before. Are you here to fight or watch?"

He noted the calm and respectful manner that Bryn spoke to him. It was almost robotic. Maybe some of her cybernetics affected her mind and speech or something. Dvasian would've thought this a little weird a few months ago, but now he was a cyborg too and it seemed more normal.

"Nah, don't worry about it. I could use the company." Dvasian said, thinking about how disturbed he already felt lately.

Getting to talk to someone else like him was nice though. As they let go of each other's hands Dvasian's landed back on the bottle and he took another swig.

"Bryn. That's a nice name." he said, attempting to flatter her.

Dvasian thought her next question was weird.

"I mean I'm up here in the stands. I wouldn't lower myself to fight a slave." He said chastising, "Ooh! Speaking of, they're starting."

Dvasian looked across the arena as the Editor of the games began to speak, "I know you've been waiting all day to see a real match! So we bring you the midday games! We have a Jedi and a Jen'Ari from the recently collapsed New Republic and the Jen'Ari Empire respectively. They fight alone against each other and two forceless gladiators. Four go walk into the ring, one comes out. Tell me, shall we begin?!"

The crowd let out a deafening roar in anticipation. Even Dvasian stood up and shouted, "Yeah! Let the blood of the weak wet the sands!" Then he looked at Bryn and sat back down, "Sorry, I got excited. Here. You want some? I think I've had enough for now." The Sith offered, handing her the whiskey bottle.

Just then the gates opened and gladiators stepped onto the sands. Almost everyone booed at the Jedi and Jen'Ari, calling them bastards, murderers and traitors. They threw food too, but only the Jen'Ari gladiator protested and cussed at the crowd.

The first to die was a forceless gladiator, slashed across the chest by the Jen'Ari's lightsaber after a very short duel. Then they went for the Jedi, slashing and shooting lightning at him. The Jedi deflected his attacks and sent the lightning in the direction of the crowd. It hit the unseen barrier protecting the stands and made an epic light show.

The second forceless gladiator ran at the seemingly distracted Jedi, but was force pushed back and fell limp after a few rolls. The Jedi then pushed his attack on the Jen'Ari and successfully landed a slash across his gut. However he dodged and the wound was shallow, though it burned. The Jen'Ari retaliated before the Jedi could swing their lightsaber again and beheaded him to the roar of the crowd.

Thinking the fight was over the he held out his arms and took in the applause. Then the gladiator the Jedi knocked down stood back up again. The crowd gasped, surprised to see he still lived. The heretical Dark Sider turned around to see what they were looking at when the gladiator threw his vibrosword into his stomach. He let out a cry of pain and collapsed to his knees. The gladiator walked up to the Jen'Ari and ripped his sword from his chest. Blood splashed and began to slow out as it left his body.

"That was my brother you killed." the gladiator said into the Jen'Ari's ear before lifting his sword over his head.

Turning the blade 180 degrees in his hands so it pointed down, the gladiator then plunged his sword into the Jen'Ari's neck and finished him off. His blood soaked the sands as the crowd cheered for the last time.

It was a bit of a relief when he assured her he wasn't upset she had interrupted him. Bryn colored slightly when he complimented her name. It was an aspect of life she had never been exposed to and wasn't entirely sure how to handle it.

"Thank you."

As he continued, his stance on some things became clear. He was one of the elite Sith and was here to watch the fighting. By every standard Bryn was aware of, she should be beneath his gaze. As almost nothing more than cannon fodder with the Empire, she would have to work hard to even come close to his status.

While she wasn't a slave, she was one that did fight sometimes here. Obviously he had never been present when she'd done that before. Not showing it at all, she let out a bit of a mental sigh and turned her attention to the ring below when he mentioned the next fight was starting.

A captured Jedi and Sith were pitted against two gladiators. The two of them sat back down and he offered her some of his drink which she accepted with a nod.

The fight was fast and brutal with the last man standing being one of the gladiators.

Just as the cheers of the crowd were dying down, the bodies removed and the gladiator escorted away, her side started beeping. His did too. Picking the device up, they were called out on a mission. Looking between it and him, she shrugged slightly and stood up.

"So much for a relaxing day of watching the fights, huh?"

A mission to Jabiim had been given to them both it seemed and she had to answer the call.

"You want to go together?"
