SPECIAL FEATURES
  • DNA Scanner: Each of these blasters has a scanner embedded into it's grip. These scanners are capable of storing the unique DNA signature of their owner and keeping it on record. If these grips read any DNA signature other than the wielder or any new signatures he stores in the weapon, not only will the pistols remain safety locked but they will administer a very painful shock after five seconds of continued contact.
  • Voice Command: This weapon has a voice-command feature that is only capable of being synced to one person, their owner. The voice command feature controls a number of features on the pistols. If the owner is wearing gloves or their DNA signature can not be read, then the voice command can disable the autolock. Along with full control of the auto-lock the voice command can also order "Command: Reload," causing the pistol to immediately eject it's current clip, to help the reloading process. The pistol is also self-unjamming and can handle most weapons malfunctions with the simple command, "Command: Refit." Another feature which can be used is "Command: Status," which will cause the weapon to deliver a status report on each of the pistols. The final voice command feature is, "Command: Auxiliary." This feature switches the firing mechanism to the secondary function, allowing the user to fire their chosen specialty round.
  • Specialty Round: These pistols each have two barrels, one for firing the primary ammunition the weapon hosts and then another that can host a single specialized round. These rounds can be flares, incendiary rounds, miniature grenades, net capsules, and even poison darts.
Strengths:
  • Powerful Shot: These slugthrowers pack a powerful punch, giving them a staggering amount of stopping power. It would be very difficult to shrug off a round fired from this weapon.
  • Owner's Only: Several security measures keep this weapon from being fired by anyone other than the owner. Most are not even capable of holding the weapon for an extended amount of time, less they deal with a very nasty electrical shock administered through the grip.
  • Assistant: Each pistol has a voice command function which includes an automated {feminine} assistant to keep track of all commands issued and keep the user aware of any damage/malfunctions with the weapon.
  • Slugthrower: Slugthrowers have often been considered to be superior to blasters due to the fact that live slug rounds cannot be deflected by a lightsaber and usually not stopped by a molecular shield.
  • Faster Reload Speed: These blaster pistols have an automated reload function which gives them a slight advantage against pistols that must go through a full manual reload.
Weaknesses:
  • EMP: As this weapon utilizes a number of electrical systems an EMP/ION based attack could result in the malfunction or shutdown of the pistol's advanced functions.
  • Low Firing Rate: While this slugthrower is a fine piece of work it does have a comparatively slower firing rate than most other pistols. While it goes through a clip slightly slower it is not able to ascend to rapid-fire functions.
  • Large: These pistols are considerably large, allowing them to maintain both barrels as well as the electronic functions within, however that makes them difficult to conceal and not as easy to maneuver in close spaces or in close quarters combat.
  • Expensive Repairs: This slugthrowers are extremely difficult to repair. As they have many different functions and features, the wrong person could quite easily harm themselves or the weapons while trying to repair them. It is recommended they only be repaired by Dynetech Industries officials.
DESCRIPTION
The MX-11 Dual-slugthrower combo, more popularly known as Apollo and Artemis, are a deadly set of pistols designed by Dynetech Industries. These pistols are updated with state of the art technology, allowing them to be synced to a military HUD. Meant to be used in tandem each of these slugthrowers is designed with a dual-barrel layout. The lower, and primary, barrel fires the standard slug rounds featured in this model, while the top barrel is a specialized barrel that can host a single specialty round at a time.

Designed to host flares, incendiaries, and even nets the wielder gains a tremendous advantage from this feature. Along with sporting more than one barrel, these pistols are voice-coded to the user. Only responding to his pre-programmed voice and his genetic makeup they are almost impossible to commandeer.

The Last Son
[member="Asher Malvern"], could the user fire both the special rounds and the regular rounds at the same time with a singular trigger pull? or is there a switch that selects only one firing mode at a time?
