STRENGTHS
I Think I’m Gonna Be Sick (Ship Agility)
The Apogee Deux is easily one of the most maneuverable light freighters in existence, capable of gut-wrenching turns, rolls, climbs and spins – both in atmosphere and in space. Combined with its powerful sublight engines and its large maneuvering boosters, the Apogee Deux is adept at getting in and out of situations rather quickly. Many Starfighters find themselves quite surprised when they are not able to outmaneuver or outrun this light freighter. The ship possesses five maasive sublight drives as its main propulsion, but it is accompanied by 20 miniature directional drives, which aid in maneuverability and sublight speed. This is in addition to the maneuvering boosters spread across the ship.

I Am The Night… (Advanced Infiltration Systems)
The Apogee Deux was designed to quickly get in and out of places it is not supposed to be. With an overlapping array of aftermarket tools, comprised of an advanced ECM suite, an IFF Spoofer, and a comprehensive sensor mask, the Apogee Deux is able to use trickery or stealth to get into those difficult spots.

WEAKNESSES
Look At the Size of Those Things! (Sublight Drive Vulnerability)
With all the speed and maneuverability that comes with the Apogee Deux, this also means that most of the ship is made up of sublight engines and maneuvering boosters. A lot of the vulnerable spots on the rear and sides of the ship are those engines and boosters. This means that subsequent hits will start damaging engines and boosters, causing the ship to slow down and lose a lot of its maneuverability.

Who Turned Out the Lights? (Power Distribution)
There is a good reason most freighters of the same classification as the Advancer-class are not as well armed, and like much of starship design it is to do mostly with power requirements. On the cutting edge of energy harvesting and processing, Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. has overcome this system strain to a degree, but the combat freighter still has issues running all systems at full power for extended periods. In a prolonged engagement, the Advancer-class will eventually have to slow down or reduce power to either weapons or shields.

DESCRIPTION
Hoersch-Kessel Drive, Inc. (HKD) developed a high speed courier vessel at the request of a conglomerate of planetary security forces. During a time when planetary blockades were prevalent, HKD was contracted to design a limited run of prototype courier vessels that were able to transport sentients and a limited amount of tonnage off of a planet and successfully through enemy blockades. This “blockade runner” light freighter was designated the Advancer. Unfortunately for HKD, the contract never materialized due to the planetary conglomerate breaking apart. However, the limited run of prototypes were sold in auctions to the highest bidder. Those ships were then modified by their owners.

One such ship was owned by an Imperial Moff that spent an exorbitant amount of credits on the Advancer he won in an auction. This ship was added to his collection of exotic ships. Unfortunately, this Moff was tried and convicted as a war criminal, so the First Order confiscated his ship. The Apogee Deux is this vessel.
