Cab glared at her datapad for a moment, but then gave a shrug. Credits could be acquired to cover the loan, no doubt. Maybe some charitable organizations could be convinced to donate in some circumspect way. Backdoor channels, probably. She didn't want to tarnish an organization's credibility if they gave her money for the endeavors, no matter how noble. Odd how some prioritized laws and regs over making a difference. She took another sip from the drink, pulling a sour face as she choked it down. No more trying unfamiliar drinks in sketchy establishments. Especially with no stable job appearing soon.
She checked the datapad again, hoping for a response to her notice. Somebody would surely need some cargo shipped somewhere off this rock. Or need to slip away from the planet. She didn't even need a lot of credits. Two passengers and a droid or two to a safe planet would be sufficient, unless something unexpected happened. Or a small amount of substances that were restricted in some sectors. Her usual supplier was under close scrutiny at the moment, so they wouldn't have any shipments for a while. Now it would be just be a waiting game. Unless....
She stood and walked over to the bar, scrutinizing the other patrons. She turned back to the bar-keep, leaning one elbow on the table. "Know anyone here needing a transport?" She gestured over to her table, and slid some credits across to him. " If not, care to send any who show up over my way?" He gave a small nod, and she slipped back to her table to await who might show up. It was always an interesting part of the job, seeing whatever beings she might run across. She'd run across drifters, outlaws, refugees, and young idealistic adventurers. Oddly enough, the adventurers had been the biggest nuisances.
Which of them would walk to the table today and to what destination would they travel?
