Dreti'perit

The main settlement on Antlean II was not originally created by Akure Executive Interstellar. Instead during one of the very first recon runs one of the pilots discovered it, when the shimmering of the strange bridge caught his attention.

It’s this bridge that was used as inspiration for the subsequent naming. In Mon Calamarian it means the Blessed Spear and a blessing it was, as without it AEI might have never found the ruins of the ancient city in the first place. The bridge spans over the deep valley beneath and connects the two sides of the gorge. Each side contains half of the ruined city in perfect symmetry.

The settlement is currently focused around this bridge and the inner core of the ruins. A minor starport has been excavated inside one of the side of the canyon, allowing easy access in and out of the city proper.

Dreti’perit and the Temple of Twilight are in very close proximity to each other - one only found because of the other.

Temple of Twilight

Build on a mountain slope and near the coast of one of the Antlean oceans stands the Temple of Twilight. Named so because of the corona grafted into the floor of the temple’s secondary courtyard, which lights up when the sun begins to set behind the horizon or rises up after Dusk. The Temple was initially restored by AEI as a base of operations from which further exploration of Antlean II would be conducted, but after the presence of its Force Nexus was discovered it was decided to host the Alchemy Guild here.

It’s unknown who created this temple or for what purpose. The markings on the walls have been all but grinded down by the winds and sand, only leaving hints of what was before.

There is more to the Twilight Temple than the exterior suggests though.

Extensive network of passageways have been constructed in the mountains behind the temple. Ores and crystals were mined here in the past- suggesting that the Temple was once a place for crafters and artisans to assemble and work together.

This theory is only supported by the presence of the Force Nexus, which has an unique effect on the people within its presence. They can feel their creativity being enhanced, their focus increased and the exertion of the Force diminished.

  • Force Nexus

  • Size: Location.

  • Intent: To provide the Alchemy Guild with an unique Force Nexus that aids them in their work.

Crystal Caverns

The Crystal Caverns are a network of tunnels spread through the mountains behind the Temple of Twilight.

From scattered remains of ancient stone work benches in the upper levels, forges and other equipment one can extrapolate that the builders of the temple used the tunnels as their main source for crystals, one may assume they used them as components for their crafting projects.

The deeper you go the denser and rarer the crystal formations become, but the more twisted and turned the corridors are.

Comparative to the former Ilum Enclave the alchemists and artisans of the Alchemy Guild are planning to use those narrows ways to train their students how to traverse the space through extending their senses with the Force.

Crashed Ship

Remnants of an old Black Hex warship can be found with its parts strewn throughout the mountains and jungles. How it crashed cannot be determined, what caused it to be ripped apart… equally unknown, but large, gigantic bones are scattered amongst the wreckage. The rips and shreds in the hull do not seem to have come from weapons fire or anything of the sort.

Either way, the fauna and flora of the world have found their way there, but they seem strange. More aggressive. Their bodies twisted by whatever the warship was carrying all those years ago.

This is a place to be avoided. Unless you have something to prove, of course.

Affiliation: Akure Executive Interstellar, The Alchemist Guild, the Galactic Alliance.

CULTURE

Current civilization on Antlean II is centered around the main settlement of Dreti’perit and the Temple of Twilight.

The population of the former mostly consists of AEI employees, detachments of Alliance personnel and opportunists drawn from the other parts of the Elrood Sector and hired on as labor and colonists.

There is a strong work ethic within the main population. Some are historic enthusiasts who wish to deeply immerse themselves in the history of a long-forgotten civilization, others just want to make a worthwhile life for themselves out here - away from the problems of the rest of the Galaxy.

A centralized council of administration is established in Dreti’perit.

This council occasionally draws advice from the Alchemist Guild, how to deal with a certain artifact uncovered, a favor to contain a dangerous site or isolate strange wildlife.

There is no formal military presence, besides a detachment of Alliance marines, AEI CorpSec and an established militia made out of concerned citizens. Every arrival is expected to be able to take care of themselves and be willing to defend their fellow colonists.

TECHNOLOGY

The technology on Antlean II can be considered roughly on par or slightly below Galactic Core Standard when its brought in by Akure Executive Interstellar or the Galactic Alliance.
