Color: Usually a dark rustic brown but darker yellows is not unheard of
SPECIAL FEATURES
In the early days of Sociph history it was believed there was a warrior by the name of Qerak who had such power and skill that no enemy could stand against him. When he forged the very metal sang to him and told him ways of creating it into something far stronger. Qerak was the strongest force user Antisoch had ever seen, and had every seen since. It was his sacrifice to rid his planet of the dark side energy that was tainting the Sociph and bringing foul beings from outside the stars to Antisoch that left them a shell of what they had once been. The metal too, had something missing. Just like the Sociph, qer seems to desires to be forged stronger than it is, it almost seems to remember the times of Qerak when the Sociph's ears were longer and their lifespans could stretch centuries. Before the Curse tainted their minds and warped them into far less noble creatures than their ancestors. It takes a special sort to draw out the metal's full potential, but such a possibility exists.
So much do the Sociph love their metal they named it after Qerak himself and refuse to let their slaves near the forging process, some even don't let them touch the raw ore. These slaves, the Tarish, even made a saying of their masters, "The Sociph love their metal so much, they forged their hearts from it long ago."

- Intent: To provide the Sociph their own brand of metal to explain how they have been able to enter an industrial age without outside influence.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Through radiation and extensive metalwork, it is a fairly strong piece of material that can perform at the level of Mandalorian steel. The metal seems to attract force energy and possesses the ability to seep it away from powers used against it or from the host itself if direct contact is made with it.
- Durability - The Sociph pride themselves on their metalwork as they deeply respect its killing power. As a result they have learned extensive tricks and skills in the forging of their special brand of iron to make it successful on a war-filled planet.
- Heat resistant - Qer has a comparably high melting point compared to other metals found throughout the galaxy
- Mild Force Absorption - The metal is often described as force-hungry in that it can seep force energy from anyone using standard or unrefined qer. Force abilities attempting to manipulate the metal direction are going to be less effective than standard metals. If force lighting is being used against someone wearing the metal they wearer will be able to tolerate the energy for a few seconds longer before it builds to a point that can't be safely endured.
- Force Hungry - If a force user is wearing armor made from standard or unrefined qer or is making direct contact with the substance, their force abilities will be weakened slightly. Through long-time contact by someone untrained in the harnessing of the force it is believed the metal can nullify their sensitivity. Such use must be next to constant for years.
- Weakness to non-force electricity - Any outsider using this metal in bulk should be wary of shock pulses as it isn't unheard of for an entire suit of this metal to simply fry the brain of anyone wearing it. In the use of swords, however, it can be a useful way to draw bolts of electricity towards it. Provided the hilt is properly insulated, preferably numerous times.
