Intent: To develop a substance to help keep Republic soldiers from suffering the effects of severe radiation poisoning.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Emeritus Industries
Model: AntiRad
Affiliation: Republic/Open Market
Modularity: No
Production: Production: Mass-Produced
Material: Enriched potassium iodide, heavy water, agrinium powder
Description: AntiRad is a liquid substance designed to, via the use of IVs, assist the body in purging moderate to severe radiation poisoning and lessening the effects of radiation. It is not designed to allow individuals to survive a shot from a rad-weapon - only to keep the user safe if accidentally exposed to the gun's source(or to provide protection if traveling through irradiated areas).
The liquid consists of fully deuterized water(heavy water), within which is dissolved two standard capsules' worth of potassium iodide(an anti-radiation drug) and agrinium powder, a radiation-deflecting metal safe for intravenous use in small doses. The IV is attached into the arm of the at-risk individual, the deuterium and agrinium powder nullifying damage from all types of radioactive rays while the potassium iodide 'cleans up' the system of the user, purging away radioactive particulates.
No more than one AntiRad pack should be used per day. Failure to follow this may result in medical complications.
