Private Another Star in the Family

The steady hum of machinery filled the hangar aboard Varin's ship as Seren waited near the designated landing area. She arrived early, giving herself plenty of time to contemplate a long-overdue reunion. It had been years since she had seen Dante, and the little boy she remembered was now fifteen. She wondered how much of him she would recognize, and how much of the person he had become would be unfamiliar to her.

Their separation had not been entirely beyond her control. Seren had chosen not to return to Alderaan after leaving the Jedi, and the years that followed had provided countless opportunities to reconsider that decision. Yet another expedition, another unanswered question, or another reason to postpone confronting the family she had left behind had always appeared. She could hardly blame Dante for resenting her absence.

Her amber eyes turned toward the hangar entrance as the expected arrival drew nearer. She had faced Sith, Jedi, and creatures from the Netherworld with far less apprehension than she felt as she waited for her youngest brother. The realization brought a faint, rueful smile to her lips.

"Well, Seren," she murmured to herself, "you've certainly had enough time to prepare for this."

She folded her hands loosely in front of her and waited for the shuttle carrying Dante to arrive.

Dante was more calm than he would guessed. He looks when the ship enters the planet atmosfer he eyes move taking the scene ,even if in a quick descend, new places, new people, new learn and his sister. He is curious how much she changed? Not physically but personality, the Siths are very different from Alderaan in an way at the same time politics and diplomacy have it's place in the Convenant. e soft chuckles and when finally land. He leaves the shuttler, his personagrimmoire under his expensive jacked in one side, his lightsaber in the other.

"Sister" He says with a smile.

The shuttle's engine noise gradually faded as Seren watched the boarding ramp lower into the hangar. She had wondered what it would feel like to see Dante again after so many years, whether family familiarity would overcome the distance that had grown between them. Yet the moment he appeared, smiling as he greeted her, much of her apprehension gave way to a warmth she had not quite anticipated.

"Dante," she answered, returning his smile as she approached him. Her amber eyes traveled over her youngest brother, taking in his height, expensive clothing, and the unmistakable lightsaber at his side. He was certainly no longer the little boy she remembered, though something about his expression still felt familiar enough to widen her smile. "You have grown up. Quite a bit, actually. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, considering how long it's been."

She stopped before him, resisting the temptation to fuss over him as though he were still a child. Fifteen was hardly adulthood, but she suspected Dante would have little patience for being treated like the boy she had left behind. Instead, she reached out to give his arm an affectionate squeeze.

"It's good to see you, little brother," she said, her expression softening. "How has everybody been? Mother, Father, our brother? I hope you've all been well."

She had many more questions, especially about the lightsaber he carried and the circumstances that had led him toward the Sith. Those could wait a little longer. For now, she simply wanted to hear about the family she had been away from for far too many years.

Dante smile to Seren lsitening to her,he was waiting an fuss but get surprised when that not came, he give an soft huffs with an smile "Yeah it had been years snce yo leave. I can't blame you to not return" He sighs that sigh he give since he was little and some authoritive figre annoyed him.

He listen to her question and give a very soft and low tone chuckles
"They are alright, since the rebellious son is not showing up much and not living with them, thhings are better between I and them" He grins.

"and you? How are you doin? You had a lot of big changes in your life no? from Jedi to the Dark side? Tell me everything!"

Seren recognized the familiar sigh and couldn't help but smile. Apparently, Dante's opinion of authority hadn't changed much since childhood. "I'm glad everyone is doing well. Though I suspect you've given Mother and Father a few more gray hairs since I last saw you." His enthusiasm about her experiences earned a soft laugh. "Everything? That could take a while, little brother. The short version is that the Jedi disapproved of my research, the Sith encouraged it, and eventually I discovered I didn't particularly want either of them deciding who I should be."

She glanced toward a shadow cast by the nearby shuttle and extended one hand. The darkness stretched unnaturally across the hangar floor, then rose into several slender tendrils that curled around her fingers. With a little concentration, she wove them into the shape of a delicate flower, its dark petals slowly unfolding above her palm.

"I've become rather accomplished with shadows and Sith sorcery," she explained, letting the flower dissolve and the darkness return to its natural place. "But enough about me for the moment. I noticed the lightsaber you're carrying. I take it you've been pursuing some interesting studies of your own?"
