Wisps of black smoke rose up from the focusing dish, even as a one of its micro-lasers continued to pulse green light at the target's silhouette. A duros walked up behind the dish and gave it a few slaps and harsh curse words. The laser's light sputtered out. Gai added another curse to his litany of the device's performance.
