Hey Folks,
So, I’ve heard some things around the ‘verse that I’d like to allay. No, we’re not turning into the bigger and better Empire. We’re remaining the Galactic Alliance - However; there’s going to be a few changes. Our faction was made with the intent to destroy the One Sith, and as you can see by the map, we’ve done that. Just so we’re not a One-trick Pony, I’ve set in motion some ideas to align us with the Legacy-era version of our canon-selves. For the sake of transparency and the simple fact I may need a reference list later, I’ll list my ideas/ changes below.
Finally, just to put it down in words, the Faction Staff and I are not here to hold your hand. We’re Facilitators, Forum Administrators, and essentially Guides to keep this faction on the up and up (Read: Fun and Exciting + Drama Free.). That being said - it’s nothing without You, as a member. You are the beating heart of the Galactic Alliance. You Guys and Gals keep our threads alive and active. I’m just the dude with an idea of how things should be, and the OCD drive to make sure everything’s groovy OOC, so it’s easier to respond IC.
If you have an idea, feel free to post it up in our OOC forums. That’s what they’re for. If you see a planet you’d like to dominion - or two - or have idea’s for a Hex - post them up there too. I’m perfectly alright with you guys tossing up T1’s and T2’s into the Open-Roleplay topic, and merely ask that my Faction Staff and I reserve the right to post up T3’s - because sometimes one hex’s more important than the next.
Other than that. You guys are awesome, and since [member="Cira"] can’t beat me to posting this here, POST DOMS!

For the sake of transparency and the simple fact I may need a reference list later, I’ll list my ideas/ changes below.
- Flesh out the Alliance Military. (This includes the Starfighter Corps, the Navy, the Army, and the Special Forces branches. To which the New Class program has already begun changing things IC.) [Ranks, Brief Summary, Manifests, Hierarchy, Etc.]
- Update the Merchant Fleet. (I haven't forgotten about the more roguish elements of the Alliance, and will do everything I can to make sure that you're not only apart of the faction despite our more orderly militaristic push - but feel like we're not imposing a certain mindset on you from going about your business.) [Letter of Marque included.]
- Flesh out the Alliance Government. (OOC - Nothing will change here, however, the terminology and IC descriptions will be changing to support our evolution.) [ No Senate, Federal Council, Triumvirate (New NPC’s) Planetary Governor(s) and the Federation (Lawful Neutral).]
- Faction Lore. (Just as it’s name suggests, I’m looking to update our faction’s lore. So any help here would be appreciated.)
- IC Name. (I won’t be putting up a poll for a name change, it’ll be a colloquial name to represent the changes listed in the point above. Galactic Federation of Free Alliances.)
- Planetary Holdings (This is more meant to know what we’ve got, where we’ve got it, and if possible - How? I do not want a repeat of Belsavis, so if it’s not listed, it doesn’t exist. This will also help during any Skirmishes and Invasions.)
- New Members Area. (I’m thinking of building the Faction Thread tracker into that area, and leaving it Open so anyone can post their Alliance related threads into the thread.)
- The Reconstruction Authority. (With the GAPDP being warped into something that’s served a single person’s company rather than the Alliance as a whole, so I’m ending that program and replacing it with something more akin to what it’s supposed to be. Rebuilding and Developing our Member Planets.)
- Galactic Alliance Guard. (Debuted during our T3, the GAG will be returning to act as our Federal Police Force, so if you’re interested in participating with these lovely folks, feel free to contact me or [member="Aerion Ivelisse"] for details in the future. Still have to flesh that out.)
- Project Myrmidon. (Supersoldiers. Straightforward, eh? I’ve got some errant ideas, some interested people, and the barest framework in place, but that’s it.)
- More to be added at a later date.
