Strengths:
  • [+] Einstein: The Animus-class Ultra Battle droid is one of the most intelligent, adaptable droids on the market in a combat role. Heuristic processors, gabonna crystal storage banks, advanced personality modules, and even motivator boosters. It can adapt quickly and learn on the fly.
  • [+] A notch above: It's an ultra droid for a reason. Fast and agile for its size, carries immense firepower, and can take a few heavy hits before it drops. The Animus is meant to be a superior fighting force on the battlefield.
Weaknesses:
  • [-] Fried: While an ionization buffer covers a glaring weakness of most droids, EMP weaponry will still heavily damage if not outright disable the Animus.
  • [-] Sweet Spot: Right around the "back of the neck" area on an Animus is where most of its important cognitive circuitry and processors
  • [-] Stompin': The Animus is a rather massive droid. Stealth operations of any sort are not possible unless you extensively modify individual droids.
DESCRIPTION

Coming together with Jaeger Solutions once more, Aegis Systems aims to take the market by force with its newest mechanical marvel. Introducing the Animus-class Ultra Battle droid, a 3.5 meter tall droid that carries a blastercannon, concussion missile launchers, and a plethora of micro-grenades.

Tall, heavy, and durable, these droids tower over most individuals or creatures in the galaxy. Heavy-duty servomotors augmented by a gyroscopic stabilizer grant the Animus a great deal of agility, speed, and strength. These tough bots can go from lugging around massive cannons and equipment to bobbing and weaving past incoming rockets in the midst of urban combat.

The most notable feature of the droid itself is its intelligence and personality. Each unit lovingly crafted by Aegis is unique in its own way, often being partnered with organic operators which they refer to as "Hunters." Utilizing the staple heuristic processor, the Animus-class is able to adapt quickly to even the most dire situations and learn on the fly. An advanced personality module enhances their tendency to develop individuality whilst a droid motivator booster overclocks their internal processing speeds exponentially, enabling them faster reaction times than most battle droids.

In addition to these primary systems, the Animus incorporates shielding technology produced by Jaeger Solutions. These shields provide ample protective value to the bot as it stomps through the battlefield, laying waste to its multitude of foes. A versatile sensorscope package provides vigilance against numerous threats whilst an advanced targeting system reduces collateral damage and increases on-target accuracy. Along with these systems are the staple Aegis Systems software packages: Aegis SH13LD and TunnelNet VPN to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the droid's on-board data.

The Animus droid is often equipped with a heavy blastercannon from ArmaTech, the ACS-203 to unleash torrents of firepower downrange. Atop teach shoulder are retractable concussion missile and micro-grenade launchers. These great weapons provide the capacity to neutralize indirect threats with extreme prejudice.

While these superior droids are extreme forces to be reckoned with on the battlefield, there are some drawbacks. The first, unsurprisingly, is its inherent weakness to EMP weaponry. These weapons can heavily damage, if not disable the Animus completely, rendering it useless. There's also a small weak point on the rear of the droid, where the back of its supposed "neck" would be. Since the Animus is also quite large, its heavy step and tendency to explode things make it a very poor addition to any sort of clandestine operations.

Overall, the Animus-class Ultra Battle Droid is purposed to be one of the greatest machines to grace the field of battle. Quick, agile, durable, and heavy firepower.

War, we're changing war.
