STRENGTHS
Marksman: Having been trained since she was a youngling, the Nautolan is well knowledgeable in firearms. She is a proficient sharpshooter and wonderful asset in a shootout.
Adept: Being of Jedi heritage, Anii is a capable wielder of the Force. She is comparable to a newly graduated Jedi Knight.
Fishfolk: As a member of the Nautolans, Anii is granted all of their natural skills. Swimming, breathing underwater, etc.
WEAKNESSES
Unorthodox: Being essentially a follower of the philosophy of Teepo, she might find herself at odds with Jedi who are more orthdox and traditional in their views of the Force.
Olfactory Attacks: Due to her species' heightened pheromone-sensing organs, she is more susceptible to strong smells or weaponry specifically designed to target scent glands.
HISTORY
Anii Ookali was born on the temperate world of Taanab, a quiet refuge chosen by her father, Iakopo Ookali—a former Jedi Knight who left the Order after falling in love with her mother, Kanul. Born with a strong natural connection to the Force, Anii received most of her early training from her father. Iakopo taught her to ground her abilities in a deep awareness of life around her.
Her combat education came from T’Mazz Hekk, an aging Rodian sheriff in their sector and a firm believer in the practical, adaptable traditions of the Teepo Paladins. Under T’Mazz, Anii learned to merge her Force sensitivity with real-world combat skills, favoring blasters and heightened perception over strict lightsaber forms. This blend of Jedi discipline and Teepo pragmatism made her incredibly effective on Taanab’s rough frontiers. Her talent and reliability eventually earned her the position of deputy sheriff, where she spent years defending settlements from raiders, corporate thugs, and anyone else who thought the outer territories were easy prey.
But as the galaxy’s oppressive powers tightened their hold, even Taanab began to feel the strain. Local justice wasn’t enough anymore. Anii realized the fight for freedom had outgrown her sector. When she learned of the Hidden Path—a scattered network of resistance cells, sympathizers, and Jedi—she understood where she was truly needed. Leaving her badge behind, she joined the Network, stepping into the wider conflict as a covert operative and protector, determined to use everything she’d learned to defend those the Dark Side would rather see forgotten.
