PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Anashla has a slender, athletic build, carrying herself with an easy, natural confidence. Her dark brown hair frames her face cleanly, often worn in a practical but flattering style, while her blue-green eyes are striking clear, alert, and expressive. Her features are refined without being delicate, giving her an appearance that is both approachable and quietly formidable.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Anashla carries royalty as a burden, not an ornament. She was raised to rule, but war taught her how to command. There is a natural, unmistakable authority to her presence one that doesn’t demand attention, yet inevitably draws it. She is formal when ceremony demands it, but she sheds courtly affectations the moment lives are at stake. Her sense of duty is absolute: to her people, her world, and those who fight in her name.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
▲ STRENGTH: Anashla is a seasoned naval commander, schooled in multi-fleet combat, deep-space logistics, and asymmetric warfare. She thinks several moves ahead on and off the battlefield.
▲ STRENGTH: Her unique ability to integrate Thaloran psionics with Force sensitivity grants her an edge in both combat and leadership, allowing her to command with intuitive insight and overwhelming presence.
▼ WEAKNESS: Her vision of a meritocratic empire can verge into rigid idealism. She may overlook moral nuance, prioritizing order and structure over individual liberties or long-term adaptability.
▼ WEAKNESS: Having lost everything once, she is slow to place full trust in allies, even those who have earned it.
HISTORY
The Cataclysm
When the Unmaker's forces struck in what came to be known as the Cataclysm, the Confederate leadership underestimated the scale of the threat until it was nearly too late. Task forces under Anashla’s direction were sent into multiple contested systems, walking into traps engineered to scatter and break fleet cohesion. Recognizing the strategic gamble too late, she pulled every available ship back toward the critical front of Naboo.
At Naboo, as monstrous horrors overwhelmed planetary defense and the skies turned to war, Anashla’s flagship the Ventress became the spearhead of resistance. Striking through debris fields and shattered squadrons, she kept the remnants of her fleet fighting long enough for vital evacuations to occur and for foot soldiers to rally. Though they were ordered to retreat by Confederate high command, Anashla fought ferociously not for a strategic position, but for her people and their survival.
Those moments coordinating fractured forces, steering battered vessels through chaos, and standing between devastation and a world she had sworn to protect reshaped her. She did not fight to conquer; she fought to save. Every order she issued carried the gravity of lives she could not afford to lose.
Aftermath and Exile
The Confederacy fractured alongside its fleets. As Naboo’s defense became one of the final bastions before the Cataclysm’s end, its strategic significance diminished and the Confederacy itself collapsed into splintered remnants. Anashla, once a High Marshal hailed by thousands, found herself adrift. When the Vicelord called everyone to abandon the Southern Systems, every ship that could not make the jump was abandoned its transferred to surviving vessels. They jumpted to a system that she knew well. The Shiraya Expanse.
There on Verun, she alerted the Vicelord that her time among them was at an end. Her father had summoned her home. Though a bittersweet fairwell she departed and eventually was crowned Queen of Thaloran. Over time she worked with the burgeoning Ascendancy in the Expanse aided where she was able and likewise they her and her people. Time moved on.
When the planetshift occured she had been offworld, visiting Verun and her allies. Her homeworld vanished in the cosmic upheaval.
With her throne unreachable, she refused to cling to lost titles. Instead, Anashla turned her knowledge and experience toward a new purpose: joining the High Republic. She would lend them her abilities while seeking out her lost world. Her value to their cause is undeniable. She offers tactical wisdom honed in fleet engagements, command experience under impossible conditions, and the burning drive to find her missing world. Her allegiance to the Republic aligned cause is not born from conviction, but from alignment of need theirs for defense, hers for the means to bring her people home.
