Biography
Early life
"Wisdom comes with experience, as a Jedi you must be dispassionate and not permit your personal feelings to cloud your judgement.

Anarielle Mero's early life was dominated utterly by the Jedi Order having been taken from her homeworld of Isobe within the Thustra System as a young child and maintained little to no contact with them after her induction into the Order. Behind Anarielle's name was a sizeable Sephi engineering company held in her family's name that she would have otherwise been entitled to inherit had it not been for the Jedi order assuming Guardianship over the juvenile Sephi girl. Padawan Anarielle Mero was apprenticed to Jedi Master Ulrik Elil and during a diplomatic mission to Cato Neimoidia successfully used the force to manipulate a negotiation between several Neimoidian ministers and industrialists which produced a union agreement favourable to the industrialists' workers which earned the young Sephi her master's ire and a firm scolding for permitting her personal feelings to influence her outward use of the force before contradicting himself and praising her for making what was judged to be a righteous decision. Eventually and through proper guidance from Master Ulrik, Anari eventually passed her trials and became a full Jedi Knight and began performing assignments alone as provided to her by the Council while continuing her training in the hopes that one day she too might become a master. An interest in the Republic and its' politics gripped Anari especially during the Naboo Crisis where she was thoroughly disgusted with the Senate's indifference to the corruption that had buried itself into the Republic's regulatory and compliance authorities. Political Discontent steadily grew into contempt for the senate and republic as a whole not long after the crisis' resoultion Anari left the Jedi Order as an outspoken supporter of Count Dooku, believing herself unable to serve the Republic's faithfully when the senate that represented them cared nothing for representing them. Anari journeyed back home to Isobe within the small Thustra system and shared an emotional reunion with her large family before attending a local university studying robotics, programming and architecture. Anari became somewhat of a robotics prodigy gaining employment as a programmer with the Techno Union which came to support what was then a juvenile Confederacy of Independent Systems led by Count Dooku who she admired greatly for his political courage in challenging the Republic's Corruption and lethargy quietly hoping that the threat of systems succeeding would either galvanise the Republic into saving itself or eventually lead to a material succession which would dissolve the Republic, Anari never fully trusted Senator Palpatine and while she respected Valorum he wasn't strong enough to challenge the political and economic issues facing the Republic. Anarielle's expertise within the programming field would come as she joined the engineering team responsible for helping develop the B2 Droid's personality to the woman's great delight; they were given a requirement of developing a personality for a droid that would be geared towards soldiering or combat and not corporate defence or security. Anarielle insisted on making the new droid design more aggressive and less indecisive than its' predecessor with more powerful hardware to handle the increased instructions routed through the control unit as a consequence of intensified decision making processes. The impact if any of her team's research was lost to history though Anari was satisfied with the final product's performance and efficiency shortly before the first battle of Geonosis and created a study which concluded that the B2 model possessed a 200% greater combat effectiveness compared to the B1 though the increased manufacturing time and cost she concluded would result in the unit never being produced in quantities enough to entirely replace the B1 within any 'hypothetical' Confederate Army. Anari prepared for what appeared to be a regrettably bloody conflict on the Horizon between the Confederacy she supported and her former friends within the Jedi Order most likely supported by various planetary defence forces, Anari procured weapons for her personal HK-series protection detail as a precaution.
The Clone Wars

Anari recoiled at the beginning of the Clone War with the Republic revealing their secret army to the Galaxy and not just any army it was a slave army in her eyes, treated no better than droids but deserving every right afforded to any other sentient being their exploitation at the hands of the Senate and unquestioning loyalty of the Jedi solidified Anari's resolve to continue working with the Techno Union now a Senior programmer and architect as her own way of contributing to the Confederacy's overall victory. When the war began in earnest Anari was invited by an esteemed member of the Confederacy's Parliament to a gala ostensibly in appreciation for her contributions in droid programming though the truth was Denali Rostro had heard through some Sephi diplomat about Mero's past with the Jedi Order and her work with the Techno Union and upon their meeting at the Gala encouraged Anari to join the Confederacy's Army and though reluctant at first she was persuaded by an appeal to righteousness by the member for parliament to take up her lightsaber once again and fight for a cause she truly believed deserved to continue and live. Anari would be commissioned into the Confederacy's Military with the rank of Captain and was placed in Command of a Sephi volunteer company augmented by new BX-series Commando Droids, Anari was always disturbed whenever she was erroneously referred to as a "Jedi" despite her insistence to the contrary she considered the Jedi Order she knew as a child to be gone and consumed by the war and little did Anari know it would also steadily claim her own faith in the Force. After a full nine months into the Clone War, Anari was relieved to see King Alaric of Isobe prepare to suceed from the Republic and join the Confederacy of Independent Systems and she was deployed to the Thustra Systems with her company alongside a sizable amount of Droid assets from the Army to wage a war of maneuver against any Republic Retaliation. Anari helped muster locals into militias and provided them with basic military training, when the Republic's clones landed not a full rotation later the Militia troops started attacking and inflicted massive casualties upon the Republic's forces claiming two Jedi Generals leaving their Padawans in Command, she deeply regretted their deaths but continued the Campaign regardless. Anari supported King Alaric loyally and vigorously during the battle for Isobe and the wider Thustra System, his death ostensibly at the hands of the Jedi drew out her anger and barely restrained herself from killing a Clone prisoner out of mourning but King Alaric's death wouldn't be for nothing they would successfully free themselves from the yoke of the Republic and showed Anari the truly personal cost of war. Promoted to the rank of Colonel for her efforts against the Republic occupation forces and locally celebrated as a hero on Isobe, Anari took the surprising step as a Separatist Commander to release her clone prisoners back to the Republic and allegedly earned the ire of some very senior personnel who resented this 'merciful' decision and though while Anari viewed the use of Clones as abusive of life itself, they were each unique in the force which she found startling and compelling enough to provide their lives the same respect as any other. House Mero would be elevated socially and politically for its' loyalty to King Alaric and Thustra during this period with Anari herself becoming a celebrated heroine within her own local community and within the family's long prestigious history. Around this time several suitors attempted to court Anari but were rebutted by the Sephi Colonel who had little time for notions of romance in the midst of the War which seemed to swallow all of her attention somewhat concerning her elderly Mother and Father who still clung to the hope they'd watch their youngest marry before passing into the force, they would be disappointed.
Rise of the Empire

The Confederacy was Preparing for a master stroke developed by Count Dooku and General Grievous the latter of whom she found extremely unpleasant for his brutality while ever-admiring the former's brilliance, determination and courage even if it had given way somewhat to the Cynicism of War. Anari was now a full-blown General within the Confederacy's Military though she never permitted her ego's growth considering herself modestly neither brilliant or brutal, just doing her duty for the Confederacy and a future free from the Republic's over-bearing bureaucracy and corruption. During the battle of Coruscant, Anari courageously led a Squadron of Sephi fighters in a daring assault on several Venator-Class Star Destroyers and surgically disabling their gunnery stations after the warships' shields were either lowered or depleted providing cover for Separatist Frigates to disengage and escape when necessary. The battle seemed to be going favorably until reports starting filing through the comm concerning the infiltration of the Invisible Hand by two Jedi, when Anari heard this she initially set a course for the Invisible Hand but was dissuaded by control after being informed "The good Count has the situation in hand." And concluded it was an attempt to rob the Republic of its' poster-boys though she was suspicious and frightened by the prospect of Count Dooku's death. Surely enough, the Invisible hand was commandeered and crashed down through Coruscant's orbit losing most of her squadron in the Chaos was salt thrown upon the gruesome wound torn open following Count Dooku's destruction with Supreme Command of the Confederacy's Military unfortunately passing to General Grievous but he wouldn't hold it long, Anari was redeployed to Cato Neimoidia in an unsuccessful attempt to wade off the Republic's unrelenting and vicious assault of that world Anari knew the battle was lost and began preparations for an evacuation despite orders coming down from Command that they were not to surrender or retreat and it was this decision that saved the lives of her Sephi Battalions while the Droid Brigades sacrificed themselves to buy time for organic citizens of Cato Neimoidia and Separatist Soldiers to be evacuated. Word soon spread that General Grievous had been destroyed by a Jedi on Utupau which caused Anari to despair deeply as Separatist High Command crumbled and struggled to find an adequate leader to replace the slain Cyborg, many Junior Officers within Anari's division raised the idea of deserting but she squashed that idea and reminded them strongly of their loyalty to Isobe and the Confederacy by extension and they retreated back to the Thustra system battered and Defeated. Order Sixty-Six was issued around this time within the Republic after Anari and her division arrived back on Isobe, her soldiers were shocked after she suddenly collapsed whilst marching across a Parade ground and while being nursed by medical personnel started screaming in hysteric pain. Anari experienced the pain suffered by her old master Ulrik Elil through a nascent force bond and the cascading destruction of life across the universe as Jedi were Purged ruthlessly by their own Troops. Quickly she realized what was happening and ordered all local Separatist Divisions to prepare for a defence of Isobe though before preparations could even begin in earnest all of Anari's droid assets received a master shut-down order which could have only been issued by the Council, attempts to raise High Command were met with only static and Anari's division received an order to surrender which they at first ignored. Anari called a meeting of senior division officers and informed them of what she could sense as the force darkened; there was a coup involving the mass death of Jedi occurring within the Republic and the majority of Confederacy High Command and Executive had been dispatched, capitulation was inevitable. Deciding that it was pointless to continue the war and convinced her own life might be in danger, Anari ordered the division to disperse and destroy or disable any Separatist equipment that couldn't be readily transported and concealed much of this equipment unknown to Anari would later be appropriated by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Anari listened to Chancellor Sheev Palpatine's speech about the re-organisation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire and dismissed the idea the Jedi had betrayed the Republic and senate entirely, his statement about the remaining Jedi being hunted down caused alarm and searching her feelings concluded she would also be a target as former Separatist General and Jedi Knight sharing her concerns with family she reluctantly heeded their demands she flee. Anari was provided with a Custom J-Class 327 she fled Isobe with a small team of HK-series droids for protecting and managed to escape beyond the Unknown Regions going completely around the rim travelling under an assumed identity she purchased necessities before arriving at her destination; deep space far to the Galaxy's South beyond charted space. Upon arrival Anari sadly recorded a series of videolog memoirs recalling what had happened across the Clone Wars leading upto the Republic's re-organisation, Anari then proceeded to place her vessel in low-power mode relying on the retro-fitted miniaturized Nuclear Fusion Reactor for power before providing her HK-series droids with instruction to only wake her if absolutely necessary prior to entering suspended animation within a stasis pod; a form of self-exile and imprisonment for her heart-wrenching failures hoping to never wake but lacking the strength to end her own life.

More than eight-hundred years after her entrance into suspended animation completely ignorant of the world, Anari was awoken by one of her trusty HK-series droids as instructed after groggily making her way to the bridge she discovered an angular looking warship sitting off her tiny ships' bow steadily drawing them closer in the grip of a Tractor Beam. Anari suspected based on the appearance of the Warship that the Galactic Empire had finally come looking to collect the Rogue Jedi but feared nothing, they'd already taken nearly everything from her anyway she was ready to join the Force and armed with an E-5 Blaster prepared a defensive position at the boarding umbilical. To her surprise it wasn't white-armoured Clone Troopers who entered her craft but men with differing faces in a common uniform albeit wearing varying accessories they identified themselves of a government whose name Anari didn't recognize though she sensed no deception and decided to trust the men who were part of the Kathol Outback's security forces, they thought Anari's vessel was in distress and offered to transport both her and the critically low-power vessel to the nearest port which she accepted, Anari was briefly questioned and was certain to be careful what information she divulged but after Eight-hundred years there would be very few outside of ancient historians with an interest in the Clone Wars who might recognize her name still she carefully concealed her status as a Jedi Exile and kept the distinct lightsaber she wielded buried within her vessel's hull. After being released into the Galaxy she sensed the overwhelming dominion of the Dark Side much as it was in the Clone Wars' Climax, racing home Anari was relieved to find it much as she remembered it, she reunited with the modern incarnation of the Mero family and with some referral to a family tree and ancient painting identified herself as one of the family's many children to the shock of its' current Patriarch who expressed humility to be faced with such a Sephi Hero an idea which Anari dismissed immediately and confessed she thought of herself as a Coward who should have died with the Order and Confederacy rather than running. Anari listened to a recounting of Modern history from the Patriarch which shocked her so much had changed; the re-emergence of the Sith chiefly among them. The news forced Anari to sink into despair and spent the same evening becoming thoroughly inebriated never awakening from the nightmare. It took a whole three months for Anari to successfully overcome her own despair and assess the galaxy's situation and what she could do for it if anything but concluded that the time of the Jedi had passed into memory, dismissing the modern incarnations of the Order as poor imitations not worthy of such a legacy. Anari decided to Surrender any hope of challenging the Dark Side's continued hold over the Galaxy grappling desperately with her own despair, she found some level of comfort in anonymity and obscurity and went back to work as a droid programmer and architect with some success, enough to be employed somewhat reluctantly by the First Order's Corps of Imperial Engineers exploiting the opportunity and becoming familiar with modern robotics and weapon technology some of which astounded her none more-so than the First Order's powered exoskeletons and physiological augmentation programs. Anari has fallen under surveillance by the FOSB and Order of Ren who view her with suspicion due to her abnormally high midi-chlorian count but has successfully feigned ignorance of the force thus far even as it gathers around the Sephi influencing her feelings to actively resist the Galaxy's darkness. Anari finds it difficult though to conceal her great sadness and malaise feeling uneasy whenever looking upon the wedge-shaped angular vessels used by the First Imperial Navy bringing back vivid memories of savage and brutal battles fought during the Clone Wars and the Republic's distinctive Venator-Class Star Destroyer a distinct resemblance she identifies in the modern Imperial-Class Star Destroyers though it was more brutish less elegant, to Anari it would seem the Republic won the war after all; politically, economically and culturally with her own perceived failures to avoid this future now shoved beneath her gaze to witness herself.

Anarielle Giala Mero is a young albeit experienced and educated woman who stands with long slender but powerful limbs with distinctive blonde hair, blue eyes and a strikingly fair complexion. Anarielle is insistent on physical fitness and has impressive levels of endurance and physical power and in typical Sephi fashion prefers agility and technique over thuggish brute strength with her movements in duels giving her the appearance of an elegant dancer with an appreciation for Lightsaber Lance-type weapons. Anarielle trained in the tradition of the Sentinel within the Jedi Order and posesses a number of practical skills and abilities that made her a competent soldier and leader within the Confederacy's military centuries ago though she considered herself neither brilliant or savage like Count Dooku or General Grievous. Anarielle was extremely critical of the corruption within the Galactic Republic and the Senate's power over the Jedi Order, eventually abandoning the Jedi Order to support the Confederacy first as a Researcher and then distinguished and somewhat famous Officer in her own right, training Sephi militias who assaulted Republic Forces on Isobe during their assault on the Thustra system in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent its' succession. Even though she served the Confederacy Anarielle never abandoned the light and continued to do her best to heed the force independent of the Jedi order, not even in her darkest hour did Anari fall into Darkness she had developed a resistance to its' lingering corruption due to steady exposure during her training within the Jedi Temple which unknown to Anari was constructed atop a Sith Artifact. Anarielle is a forgiving individual when it appeared the Confederacy had lost the war she harbored no desire to continue such a destructive conflict and would have gladly surrendered had it not been for the wholesale slaughter of Jedi which drove her into self-exile out of a perceived failure to sense such a shatterpoint in the force and fear. Unlike many Confederate Officers Anari also held no disdain for the Clones who served the Republic and treated such prisoners with respect despite the occasional protest that they were more weapon than man, this earned Anari a level of respect from Clones for her compassion. Anarielle has little ambition and doesn't lust after power carefully tempering feeling such as anger, hate and jealousy in meditation with the Force, but she is susceptible to having her fears exploited and so guards them consciously within the recesses of her soul.

Anarielle is a potent lightsaber duelist and embraced that weapon as representing a Jedi, she only ever draws the weapon if its' use is intended outside of training. Among the Order's Knights Anari was among the better duelists but she never dared compare herself to any of the Masters, Anari keenly studied lessons prepared by Master Windu, Yoda and Dooku as they were the renowned Duelists of the time. Anarielle was inspired to study Form II and VII as a result becoming an expert in their use among Knights even though many questioned their utility at the time since the Sith were extinct and their opponents mainly wielded Blasters. This training allowed Anarielle to overcome, defeat and even reluctantly destroy a number of Republic Generals and Commanders during the war as they were unprepared to face these styles, though she has a weakness to the brutal blows delivered by certain styles favoured by Dark Jedi and Sith, aware of this she prefers to dodge the strikes rather than parry them if possible. Anarielle typically relies on her skill with the force when faced with a Superior opponent within the contexts of duels to permit her enough time to escape or re-engage with some description of ranged weapon, while this appears cowardly to some the experienced would know it's born of wisdom and reflective of the woman's intelligence and awareness of her own limitations. Anarielle a narrow range of force abilities but possesses adept strength in Telekinesis and Telepathy she is quite skilled in offensive and defensive application of her abilities and often uses the former to disarm enemies to resolve disputes and threats quickly while the latter permits communication and Anarielle to sense the surface of her enemy's thoughts which provides a distinct advantage especially in Lightsaber Duels and ranged engagements while also providing a defence against this same type of probing. As a Jedi who took the path of the Sentinel Anarielle studied and continues to study more practical skills that aren't related to the Force's reverence, this being responsible for her narrow range of force powers that she can use proficiently. Anarielle is a skilled programmer and engineer as a result she makes for a competent Slicer and can turn de-activated or inert droids to her side. Anarielle unlike many Jedi from her era possesses professional infantry, armour and artillery training making her capable of operating a wide variety of weapon systems and vehicles with varying levels of proficiency. Anari isn't the best star-pilot in the Galaxy but she can navigate and engage a fighter's weapon systems competently and proficiently this was best displayed during the Battle of Coruscant where she took Sephi fighter-bombers and used them to disable turbolaser batteries aboard Venator-Class Star Destroyers who were eviscerating the Confederate Navy's Frigates and Cruisers.
