An Anomoly

Some things are so unique as to be noticed instantly, and as Sargon stepped onto solid ground he felt it about him. Allowing his awareness to flow out in search of what was disturbing his senses he knew it was there, but as to what it was he wouldn't have been able to say. It was there though, something playing with the flow of the Force, something altering its flow, its continuity. Following the whispers that surrounded his awareness more and more often Sargon found a single area in the force that seemed to be dim, or at least the Force around it was dim. It was a small, but whatever it was he couldn't fully sense out as it dulled his senses as his awareness closed in on it.

Whatever it was Sargon was curious, curious enough that his footsteps had already begun to trace out the path towards the subject in question. His eyes remained closed though he had no realization of it as his continued steps brought him closer to the disturbance, his 'sight' more of a memory of what the Force had shown him in its odd light. Slowly opening his eyes he saw a short distance away the form of a young girl, a ragged thing crouched against the outside of a restaurant, her lack of clothing in the cooling fall air more then slightly disconcerting to the Zabrak. Taking the last few steps to her he could feel the drain on the Force around her, like it dimmed around her, but spoke not of it. "Hello, child, a bit chill out here no?"

She crouched in place, little more than thin white medical shift and trousers protecting her against the cool air which she barely seemed to notice. Her hair billowed in the breeze, hindered slightly by the subtle twitching of her head, a tick which at first may have seemed as though she were checking the area around herself yet the more one witnessed it the more it became apparent it wasn’t intentional. Her heavy breathing misted in the air as she fought to regain her breath, they would be upon her soon… She had to get away before they did that. It was one thing to kill a few doctors and another to face off against a powerful man. Even she couldn’t devour all of his Force Presence, as tempting as it was. A groan of desire left her when a young couple left the restaurant, having had their fill. The happiness, the love, which radiated from them was intoxicating; a bright presence always drew on her senses more, it was sweeter and more alluring. She had to have it…

But before she could give in to her urges and begin to follow another presence pricked her senses and she snapped her head to the side, glaring at an odd man; he had horns protruding from his head and strange coloured eyes. She barely knew how to speak, although there was a constant nagging voice in her mind. Or more, she knew the words but not how to form them aloud. “N-No” she managed, voice tense as she forced herself to speak. Was that the right word? There were so many running around her underdeveloped mind. Her eyes averted from his to glance around, and in the distance she spotted one of the guards. His guards.

Gulping slightly she turned her gaze back to the man. He had a presence too, truth be told everything did, and while his wasn’t as sweet as the couple who had just passed it might just give her enough energy to outrun the guards again… But something held her back; there was something about this one and his presence… More like the Powerful Man who had held her captive. She knew he would not be easy to take down; his presence would be more difficult to drain. Even now she could feel herself drawing on it but barely, the product of the natural void she held about herself. The guards in the distance were talking to revellers and market-goers, their voices muffled yet the occasional word made it to the pair. “Young girl” one mumbled, gesturing at a rough height, tugging at his hair as he discussed her appearance. In response she began to back away into the alley, hoping to remain hidden. Oh, she wished the strange man would go away, he would blow her cover.

The feeling of fear radiating off of the young girl was strong as she slowly backed away deeper into the alley, her eyes less on Sargon then looking deep into the distance towards another object. With a slow turn of his head Sargon looked over his shoulder, his awareness still upon the young girl as he gazed with his eyes upon the guards in the distance. Turning his eyes back towards the young girl Sargon simply lifted his hand out to her. "Lets go get you some proper clothes. You can tell me your story while we dine."

His words weren't a question, but rather the statement of a man who was very accustomed to having his orders obeyed. He wasn't sure what she was being sought out for, but he didn't believe the girl was a true hazard. She had some anomaly with the Force, not Force dead, he'd felt that before it was different, but something different. He kept his thoughts siltent though as he stood there hand extended to the birl.

Her gaze snapped back to the strange man, eyes wide as he spoke. Why was he discussing her attire? She was about to make a move towards the outstretched hand, although she did not understand why, until she noticed that the guards were approaching. Stepping further back into the alleyway she pressed herself back against the wall and slid down to hide, just as two of the guards reached Sargon. "Scuse us, sir, have you seen a young girl around here? Dark hair, medical get-up? She's dangerous, don't let looks deceive you now, tell us if you've seen her."

While they spoke she remained hidden, her breathing all but none existent. She wanted them to go, she wanted to disappear, but one false move now and her cover would be blown. What are you doing? Why are you here? You should be long gone from this place by now... And yet she wasn't. The young girl bit her lip and remained pressed back against the wall, mentally begging for some respite. Was it such a crime to want freedom when it had been unjustly taken?

The Zabrak didn't move one single inch as he blocked the young girl from sight his mind moving towards theirs as he slowly inserted a single thought into their head. His mind emptied of all emotions as he drew upon the Force, the single idea that his next words would be the exacting truth not matter what their eyes taught them. "The girl you are looking for is not here, she took a shuttle off planet into the Republic, most likely to Coruscant itself. You've already been told this by the very pilot who shuttled her there, a Bothan of common features."

Each word was laced intricately with the Force, and Sargon direct contact with their mind. As he spoke them images even formed in there mind showing them this very series of events, including a vivid image of the Bothan in question. Slowly they nodded to him their eyes slightly off focus as their minds accepted this new truth. "Sorry, Sir, have a good day, we've already found her."

Watching them walk away Sargon finally turned back to the girl in question a small smile on his face. "So, some new clothes, and then we'll speak at dinner."

And suddenly they were gone. In the air she felt the seeping Force and her eyes rolled back in bliss as she felt herself drawn to it, desire pertaining her usual senses. She began to draw upon it, her presence soaking in the lingering residue of potent Force energy, and yet she did not touch that which resided within the man. Somehow he had removed them from her trail… But she knew there would be more men to come.

Looking up at the man she blinked once and tried to back away, however the way he spoke was subtly commanding, assertive, and she knew that he would have it his way regardless of what she wanted. Running would be pointless; he knew she was a wanted girl by now. Instead she simply bowed her head, and waited…

Moving off with the girl towards the nearest clothing store the Zabrak entered silently his clothing out of place in such a rather expensive place. The staff looked at him rather disdainfully till he put his credit account in, and instantly there was a change in their attitudes. Sargon was the well paid military governor and also owner of a small transport company, but soon that would not be so small. Upon his ascension to the high council his income had increased quite a bit, as did his influence.

The senior manager scurried over her eyes practically dripping with greed as she bowed low to the both of them. "Hell, my Lord, how may I help you? Did you need clothing for yourself or your daughter, or even both?" Her words practically merged together in her rush to get them out.

With a nod the Zabrak answered his eyes moving to the young girl besides her. "She needs a full ensemble of outfits, both cold and warm weather. Little one, go pick out what you'd like, they'll help you. Once you're done we will go eat." His words were gentle, but even so they were the words of a man who had become very accustomed to being obeyed.
